I haven’t cried in 6 years, I don’t know why but the only thing that makes me feel at peace is lotr. Laying in my bed imagining the endless adventures I’d have if I was born in middle earth.
Since a year ago dropping a comment, and I'm still listening to this soul evoking angelic legendary singing. If all humans knew life is a constant effects of reincarnation till you find the way, they would be free souls. Thank you for this legendary singing once again👏👏👏👏👏🤗
Thank you for making this so long. It's one of the most comforting songs to me. Gandalf's arrival at the Shire might be my favourite scene in the whole trilogy.. Incredibly heart-warming.
The Road goes ever on and on Out from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, Let others follow it who can! Let them a journey new begin, But I at last with weary feet Will turn towards the lighted inn, My evening-rest and sleep to meet.
thank you , this version motivated me to finish my college.. Thank you now i have a diploma because i studied hard while listening to this. thank you infinitely.
Thanks for this. Perfect. Im actually crying. I am also reminded of this quote: “I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
I’m late to comment this, but thank you for making this. This song hits so much harder when you watch the entire six movie span with Hobbit and LOTR. I know Hobbit gets some hate, but man does it make a lot of scenes in LOTR feel more Lively with actor faces to connect characters to.
I'm behind on my college work with a looming deadline and ready to give up. The stakes are high but putting LotR music in the background has been helping me. I realized for the one I was previously listening to, Gandalf occasionally singing helped ground me. That's what led me to find this. Super grateful!
In worlds such as Middle-Earth or Faerun, it is said the world was birthed by song. I like to imagine such a song would be something like this. Not grand, pretentious, but with a simple appreciation for life itself.
I thank you so much for this!!
You're late!
Tolkien's poetry, nostalgia, sadness and Ian McKellen/Gandalf's voice, all piled into one. Its more than I can handle.
Embrace It. Open your heart.
@@GonzoZero How does one do that?
Sadness partly because Gandalf was never truly the same after he died and was resurrected.
Nobody is never truly the same. Everything changes.
Anybody who would write to Sir Ian McKellen with a request to sing and record the whole song even a capella would be a great hero.
Yes!
The road goes ever on and on.
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the road has gone.
And I must follow, if I can.
You can
@@GonzoZero
@@GonzoZero we all can, we’ll follow it together my friend
The Middle Earth will always remain a part of my most iconic childhood memories.
Nice childhood then :)
Fireworks Gandalf, fireworks!
This weirdly felt nostalgic
Where are my old dreams ? They come back, like old friends when I listening this song :) thanks
This song has so many emotions in some way, Howard Shore is a real genius.
I agree

@@Jackbeedie Yes! man I feel you. Anyone will get tired after cooking meth for so long.
Me too. But I'm going through some stuff at the moment so a few special things have triggered me
And this is special
Oh the nostalgia! I just read the part in the book where Bilbo is leaving the Shire and singing this song. Why does it have to make your heart ache?!
Maybe cause your heart is remembering all the times of your youthful days and is sad that it is all over.
Loss of innocence, which is the worst thing to ever befall humankind.
"so do all that live to see such times, but that's not for us to decide, all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us"
This song feels like a warm hug to my soul.
i feel that
This hits so deep, I don't know why but its just perfect
It’s your natural calling to follow and learn from your elders. Father gandalf is no exception
My favorite part is how he forgets some lyrics and hums them very enduring in the film haha

Going back to college after 2 years in lockdown at home. It is about 112 miles away from my home, reminded me of this song ;')
On my new playlist.. Love this song . i find my self humming it everyday
Such a simple little moment on paper, but it is one of my favorite moments in film of all time.

Still studying to this. Thank you. 🥰💯
The greatest story of all time. And this song captures its spirit perfectly🥰
Listening to this while eating second breakfast
One of the greatest songs of our age. Musically and lyrically.
Bilbo, você é um ser tão pequeno, num mundo tão grande
YOOR LATE!!! 😍

Very Old English vibes ❤️❤️❤️ one can imagine the green shire

LOL IM GONNA DIE. sooo good Ian McCannan
Every time I walk home drunk🙏
“A little red wine for me!”
