Black collar Luke) male is human submissive and gentle. He has a moderate prey/play drive and will love to play ball and to tug and also loves to snuggle. Luke can be still for large quantities of time and has a moderate to low energy. He will not require a lot of exercise but will love to chase and ball and engage with his humans outdoors. High human focus and although he likes toys, would drop one if asked to. Once he warms up, he will engage with moderate confidence. Luke has low sight and sound sensitivity so is not bothered by noise and visual startle (cars fireworks, etc.) around him. All together, Luke is a kind, respectful puppy who can be easily molded and fit into almost any family due to his eagerness for human interaction. Luke will require a confident human to lead him and reinforce positive praise as he learns. Luke is tender hearted and will not do well around people of high emotion nor babies or toddlers who cry. He would not be recommended for therapy or service work due to his gentle tender hearted spirit. He takes much responsibility for humans emotions and may feel helpless if he cannot fix it. Would not be recommended for mental disabilities.
Luke will do well with other animals as he is not assertive and is submissive in approach. He will do well with older children or as an only child. He will be respectful of children and engage politely if they are respectful of him. He should be raised with positive reinforcement as he will learn and correct easily due to tenderness. He will not require direct strong boundaries but rather an encouraging and positive engaging environment where he can have lots of human interaction and play.
Luke would do best with almost any family with animals and children who are mentally stable and respectful.
