    Today we get to use the Milwaukee air snake again on a slow draining tub and shower.
    But we have a secret weapon this time, that we’re gonna share with you today. That weapon is a little green gel that I keep with me in a water bottle. The best thing is, you probably already have this under your kitchen sink. Watch the video to see what it is and how it works.
    Milwaukee m12 cordless AirSnake uses compressed air to push clogs through the trap into the larger diameter waste pipe. Think of it as a battery powered plunger on steroids. The key is high volume, low pressure air release. This cordless tool can push air and water much faster than you can with a plunger. Therefore making short work of clearing grease and hair clogs.

    That tool has been very helpful to me, but you need to block the overflow. Most clogs let go on first push.

      Or go through the over flow with trip lever closed.

    I find it depends on the clog.. Easy/soft clogs it's like magic.... Harder clogs doesn't work.. Then if you try for higher pressure can either damage pvc joints.. or blow out gunk... Just gotta know when to use it.. and when to give up and pull out the snake.. Def has it's place tho... much much better than any typical plunger... adding dish washer liquid is a nice tip..

      You should not be able to blow out PVC if it was done to code. You may blow out a wax ring if you go too high with the pressure.

      You can wait for deals. Amazon has some resellers, but honestly watching for a deal at Home Depot is your best bet. I paid $400 but I’ve seen as low as $299

    You have to watch if its a older waste and overflow and the trap is old you can blow it out

    Why is its that the drain in my basement i use that clears the clog you dont feel any pressure when it goes off? The one that’s overflowing theres a ton of blowback but then when i use the other one its like a baby fart but then u see the other drain go down.. lol

      It all depends on your vent routing, pipe size, etc. Usually if you have a double sink it shares one trap and you need to seal the second sink to get a good push.

      I have one of those spiky lengths of plastic. Works great for tubs. 90% of time the clog is just some hair/soap scum. Easy to clear.

    Does it do anything for cleaning sludge from the drain lines? Or only for clogs?

    • @elitehandyman911
      @elitehandyman911  6 місяців тому

      It is really meant for clogs. It may help clear sludge a little bit, but enzymes and a brush would be better.

    Hi Great video. Would you be kind enough to tell me how thw Air Snake has performed as I am looking at buying one shortly. Kind regards. UK based.

      I really like it. It does not work in all situations, but it is a nice clean way to unclog toilets. It also works really well in conjunction with liquid detergent or green gobbler. It really helps to clear tub and vanity traps of all the biological goo.
      If I had one complaint, it is the poor quality of the plastic fittings between the metal collar and rubber adapters. Disassembling sometimes requires vice grips.

    Bruh hairs that are stuck in the stopper are t going to clear whit air. Is way better to just do it the old way whit the machine that way you clear anything that’s in the line. So let’s just say you do this and then you still have to run the snake. 🤦🏾‍♂️
