  • Developmental Intervention is about helping you with your child's talking in a way that follows the natural course of development. The ultimate is to have a helper (developmental specialist) walking with you on that journey and providing you with information and strategies along the way as your child grows.
What's crucial in developmental intervention is to carefully assess the child's current abilities and level of functioning. In developmental intervention support, our focus extends beyond the present-we contemplate what lies ahead. We consider the various things the child can learn and focus on identifying the most essential, crucial skills for their development today, this week, this month, and this year. Remember, our ultimate goal is to shape a well-rounded adult, so following the developmental framework is fundamental to our approach. There are no quick fixes. As each child goes along, we walk through this journey with the parent and child and guide them through the learning process, coordinating our goals and methods in a way that aligns with the natural course of development.

Love this channel! I found your book recently and wish I had found it about a year ago when a practitioner was pushing ASD on my twin girls. Your book helped me see how far we have come and honestly was a bit of a HUG I needed when I felt alone in this journey. Also, gobbled up Thomas Sowell’s readings! As an engineer I found it fascinating that connection to late talkers. Thanks to you and your wife for the fabulous videos!!

I am so heartened to read your comment. Thank you! We hope you keep watching and keep finding information that is helpful, encouraging, and, most of all, helps you to enjoy your girls every day. Pass the word on where it is helpful. I know it is said at the end of every episode, but it is true . . the best thing for your child is you. Mary.
