I love Colossus and I love Juggernaut, so I have no problem getting them in the same Marvel Legends two pack. Mr. Rasputin needs a little extra love but this Cain Marko definitely replaces the X-Men series Build-A-Figure.

I love how you included the kitbashing right into the review. Really nice addition to what is already the best toy show anywhere. Thank you for the hours of toy related entertainment the likes of which I haven't had since Toyfare magazine. You absolute legend.
I like to get it all done at the same time, mostly because I'm impatient once I get the idea in my head, just gotta try it, haha.

@@jjboi6008 LOL no just a reference to his ability. I don't know if it's changed at all in the comics, but originally he was only unstoppable if he gained sufficient momentum first.
@@canasian6975 I'm pretty sure that was just the X-Men movie where he was a mutant. In the comics his powers are more Magic/Demon granted. Though to be fair once he gets moving you can't really stop him there either

This Colossus is so good. I'm fond of the Juggernaut, too, sure, but this Colossus is everything I wanted out of it.
Between this set and Mr. Sinister, my X-Men itch is really being scratched.
i love your repaint of nightcrawler's head, i did something similar with my own and added gold to the eyes like he had in the original promo pics, made em pop.
Yeah, I just wanted to shadow it a bit and bring the eyes out, make him look more old school.
@@TheFwoosh Could you elaborate on how you did this? Airbrush? What paint did you use? Did you have to mask off the eyes? It looks fantastic.
I just painted Model Master black where I wanted it to shade, then feathered it in with black pastel on a tiny brush.
You hit me right in the nostalgia with that intro. Ahaha
(Also love the anticlimactic ending of it.)
I definitely want these guys and I'm not necessarily even a collector, I just love the designs.

Excellent review man! Thank you for showing all of the arm swap options. Fortunately I was able to get a loose MS Colossus on eBay for a good price since he will no doubt be more sought after after people see your video.

Wow. Looks so much better with the Select arm swap IMHO. The longer arm length is actually more acurate to real life. Looks like Omega Red's feet may be a better match and more accurate to the comic without the boot sole and heal. Nice set though.
I've seen some comments that the Omega Red feet look more appropriate to the classic Colossus look. Might try that with the select arms and legends fists.

I got this figure a month and a half ago and trust this is an amazing set with much needed updates and if you skipped or missed the old juggernaut wave this will be even more new for you

Thanks a million for taking the time to show off the arm swapping possibilities for Colossus; just yesterday I was searching the internet for reference pics so this helps A TON. I haven't even received mines yet and I've already been contemplating what to do. The thing is, I love my Marvel Select Colossus and I don't want to ruin him, especially since he somehow managed to avoid the doom of the Sarlacc Pit (meaning he stayed surprisingly clean after years in the toy bin).
My Select had been pulled apart several times when I was planning to shorten him, before Legends announced theirs. It's crazy that it seems they were meant to swap though.
Enjoyed your review Robo! You may not be the first to do so, but man, you do entertain, educate and inspire collectors and newbie customizer like me. I'll try out your kitbashing. Great stuff. More to come!

I just got mine and I was DELIGHTED! I love whenever they give us X-Men characters especially characters that aren't as popular. Where's Banshee, his daughter, Longshot, etc. We'll probably get them in another of these fantastic 90s era sets. Excalibur Rachel Grey, X-Force Feral, X-Factor Wolfsbane, Longshot, maybe Vulcan's team (Vulcan, Perta, Sway, Darwin), Chamber, and M/ Monet from Gen X. I want a uniform New Mutants set but I'd set for actual figures for Magma, Cypher, and Karma.

Colossus arms are so thick because they're still in casts from when Hulk broke them!

I gotta go with select. In comic book, human form- 6'7", metal form- 7'4". I kinda think the select is better representation of that. As always, great job, keep it up bub.
I do like how they gave Juggernaut a full beat up Cain Marko head underneath the battle damaged helmet, kinda wish they did the same with the other head as well: removable helmet over a full non-beat up Cain Marko head
For Colossus I always thought he would look a lot more realistically muscular and proportionate with the Marvel Select arms from the biceps down and with swapped feet from Omega Red

I think the alt beat up face and broken helmet sculpt is took it from the Amazing Spider-Man issue 627 cover.

Got this set recently. I never got the baf juggernaut, so I was very excited to get this set. Perfect Colossus. Perfect Juggernaut. That's all there is to it.
I just got mine at Walmart today!! Awesome
Finally got to open mine and do the customization. Changed both arms but kept the hands. You can still pop them in and out but you need to heat it up first. Painted the whole thing to match. But don't have a bright metallic silver and went with a duller one. Eventually I'll repaint the whole thing bright. Good to have two Colossus now. One for the Giant Size and another for the Uncanny X-Men display. Especially with theIm incoming classic Storm. Now I need a classic Cyclops.
17:15 noticed Wolverines Cowl is peeling off. I jammed some of that Gum stuff you tac posters to the wall with. fills up that gap and also widened the cowl to where it looks in the comics.
Ooo, I didn't even notice that. Gah!
@@TheFwoosh they should have had the Cowl be part of the sculpt itself, it looks so off seeing them pushed as far back as it is.
if you gum up the spaces with something, it widens the cowl more. I seen mods say they just heat/cool it up but it doesn't work for mine

My Colossus had 2 left calfs. Like, the parts were all normal, except his right leg had a left calf muscle. So I took it back and got a different set. Awesome figures.

I think your mods look great, Robo! Those forearms on Legends Colossus look very noticable whereas Select mod looks almost natural.
I need a workshop like the one Robo has.
Just drag action figures around and leave them all over the house, same for the tools, losing both half the time. That's a real Robo workshop.

with x-men 97 coming out, i hope they do a bunch of characters like colossus in his casual outfit. i hope he is in the new series and gets his classic costume but i hope we get the blue jeans and muscle shirt look as well

The Select arms on it doesn't look bad at all. I don't mind the bulky arms as much, but it does help him look a bit more lithe with the Select arms on. Not bad at all.
Did you add chrome to Colossus in that opening shot?
I did a head swap with the Juggernaught heads so that the BAF has the white eyes and this new one has regular eyes. Both figures look better now.

I've been on the Fwoosh for so long but somehow never watched a review video from you, weird... but I enjoyed it, you're very much more entertaining and easier to listen to than others. Consider me subscribed.
I think Colossus' forearms need to be dremeled. I hate the notion of resculpting and repainting, but I think that's how we'll get the most natural look for him. Hope to see someone come up with a good fix.

Haha, I spent too long trying to balance Wolverine in that hand, had no idea where to go with it afterwards.
I was wondering if you could swap out Colosuss's arms with Mr. Sinister's and repaint them to smooth put the lower arms and have double jointed elbows.
That helmet with juggy is from an amazing soiderman 627 comic spider man did it to him.
Mine is finally shipping. I dunno if there were any production changes between your release and mine, but I hope They are as good.

Im glad I never got the BaF version. The 2 pack looks better. Though I've since gotten the DST version which is the same height, but much wider.
Wish they'd used that knee cap idea on the Rogue figure instead of those floating fall down bits.
Maybe you can turn the wristbands and arm guards inside out? If they're smooth on the other side? The hands are also too small and look like a slightly different shade of silver.
Heat up the arm bands and turn them inside out, see if that gives you the smooth bands to match the helmet.
The Colossus is like the 3.75 inch figure with the separate peace in the chest

Can you add the marvel legends hands on top of those select arms? I think the ML fists are a bit smaller and will stop the arms from looking so long?
You have to heat the Select hands to get them out, but then the Legends hands plug right in and you can still swap between fists and open hands. It's kind of crazy how well they fit.

Mines coming tomorrow, missed out on the juggy baf so I'm really excited to get it can't wait, Do you ever watch fig reviews if so which reviewers do you like to watch.
I usually try not to watch a lot of other reviewers because 1) I don't want to be influenced on toys I haven't reviewed yet and 2) I inadvertently pick up mannerisms and styles. I've been editing and realized I've done a Toy Galaxy Dan hand gesture or a Jobby sound effect or cut away. But I do sneak over to most of the other reviewers every now and then when I'm curious.
@@TheFwoosh yeah sounds good I don't blame you & besides most reviews won't be exactly alike anyway because of preference & certain qc issues that the figs might have, & has dan Larson been on anyone else's show besides pixel dan.
