Supergirl could be the easiest character in the game to learn. This is supergirl strategy in a nutshell: 1)Freeze opponent.. 2)Get opponent into corner. In the event you fail to accomplish #1 and/or #2: 3) Pray, then start teleporting, in that order. .

Great vid, Dink. Not sure if you already know this, but there is a gap in between B12 ice breath. There's probably one after other things into ice breath as well.
You can actually meter burn the forward 2, 3, airgrab to bounce your opponent. Works realy well in corners. Otherwise the away 1, 2, 3 works well afterwards to end it - maybe even throw a freeze in to reset.
also, i usually end like 70% of my combos with the walking lasers. i feel like its a decent damage ender. plus it punishes jumpers full screen. seeing as her trait recovers fast, i dont think its a waste of meter, just lay off the lasers for around 5 seconds and youll have at least 2 zaps to work with. just thought I'd put this out there
Ah, I didn't know you could back3 after the MB space port, but I feel pretty accomplished because that's the only thing I hadn't managed to figure out on my own. I'm glad they put Supergirl in this. I mained Kal in Injustice 1, but Kara is way more interesting to play as.
What I struggle with most is initiating or defending against combos. I can combo like the pros, but for some reason have issue with spacing to hit her forwadd 2 or her back 1, 2
Any tips for the cross up at 3:48 ? I always seem to either miss the kick or unable to dash because I do it too early. I know when doing the corner combo to kick when they're about to fall and it'll work, but when doing it this way as a mid screen cross up option seems to only give it to me about 50% of the time and has made me rule it out but I want to master it the way you do
Nice video. Just a note, it seems the back square, triangle, R1, leading into the environmental combo, doesn't work on some characters for some odd reason. Such as wonderwoman and Catwoman. Does anyone know why?

What's a good way to beat robin? Just zone him? I hate hanging back but he seems impossible to beat him up close with Supergirl. Most robin players just look like they are button mashing and somehow they juggle you in the air forever.

pakved I was having the same trouble man, the way I fixed it was I pressed down before the 1. I don't think it does anything but it's a timing thing for me. I have a new vid on my channel, if u look at the inputs u can see me using the down input before 1.
No need to hold. The timing in her wall combos is a bit odd but you just need to wait a little longer than it seems for the next attack after the hover.

Ryan Dillon it's good for closing the round. As the opponent can't clash it. so if you got 4 bars and their health is on the low side. a small combo into it or if make a good read on what their going to do go for it.
shujinkydink I just realized that wakeups are not universal like the down + 2 uppercut, so I've been trying to use Batman's since the game came out...smh.

I always seem to drop combos or just cant hit the right buttons when needed. As a beginner player do you recommend a certain way to play supergirl or is it basically just practice?

Kevin Hickey depends on how you find it. People who grew up on fgs in arcades tend to find them easier to use but if you're a pad player than you might be better off using that. Tl;Dr A stick won't make you good. It depends.

I honestly think supergirl is too strong of a character. I think the frequency in which I find people playing as her in ranked matches just goes to prove this.
She's mobile but does crap damage. You can be dominating as her and if you mess up once it's a tie game again. I end up using her a lot to combat zoners. She's great against Superman spam.
Jonathan Riley She really isn't. She has a lot of strengths but she has a lot of weaknesses too. Everything she does is either unsafe or has a 6 frame or over gap. Her damage is garbage. Her only wake up is -40. And her zoning even though great but can be outclassed.

Billy Badass don't you have to use an ability for that? that's not used in ranked and competitive matches.

BLARGDUDE59 You cannot. Or at least I have not seen an option for it. You can unlock new outfit color schemes though (or shaders).
BLARGDUDE59 different outfits will change her laser colour. The customization is a great tool!

Yes it's the wooden stone gear which also gives you a full meter bar right at the opening of the match.
