He looks like he enjoys life, and I was impressed by the fact that he chose the exact same 3 celebs I would have for super match assist: Betty, Brett, and Charles!
Yeah, the judge blew it on that. Women's underwear by definition is panties +/- a bra. I can't see any rationale for not matching women's underwear and panties.
This is the you cant match a general with a sprcific rule. General is undewear ...specific is bra or panties. The rule is unevenly applird but that's the rule.
Hold up. Kids have had frogs, snakes, and spiders for pets before. that's not unusual. A lion...a zebra...yeah, that's unusual...and dumb. Lol...Oh Lord, Richard got jokes!
Gotta agree with JJ, and with the explanation given on this one; one can have a cold nose without necessarily having a cold in one's nose, and vice-versa.
Okay, so I know it's been a month of Sundays since you wrote this response, but do you happen to remember which scene in 21 Jump Street this reminded you of? I loved that show and watched it from beginning to end. But I still can't think of what you're referring to.
I thought the same thing, but then this was after Star Trek the TV series had ended and a few years before the first movie. In 1973, Captain Kirk was probably not the first thing most people would have thought of.
Well another slow week but Bert wins the week giving away 5,500 dollars in head to head and audience match matches with 12 matches. Betty tied Bert with 12 matches and gave away 500 dollars in audience match match. Jaye gave away 500 dollars and Brett gave away 250 dollars in audience match matches.
This show should be ashamed of itself!! The Price is Right was so wholesome and classy! Match Game is such trash! I'll never watch Match Game again...... SAID NO ONE EVER 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I agree. If it were "JOHN never wears blank," then I wouldn't match underwear and panties, because then they would be very different things with different implications. But since we're talking about Mary, panties are definitely synonymous with women's underwear and so should have been considered a match. (If the question had been about a man, I'm sure "underwear" would have matched "jockey shorts" etc.)
I love that he smiles even when he loses.
I love how Betty held up a card saying, "Watch Password."
well betty id love to but ABC wiped most of it
@@garrygriffy1866 At least we can still watch episodes from the 1960s CBS version!
She was married to the host.
One of the best game shows. Miss you Gene.
Ah, one of my first television favorites and my first thought here, Captain Kangaroo!
I miss him and Bunny Rabbit.
Betty cracked up Johnny Olsen at the beginning :)
The guy who was a contestant in this show reminded me of my Jr High Social Studies teacher--same cheesy smile and always laughing!
today bare back means something different. too funny
Love Shelly Winters. One of my favorite classic actors. She's one of BEST!
Gene has the best bow ties!!!!
Ira , the judge went on to become one of the worst NFL refs in history
wonder how many thumbs up were from people who thought they learned something new
Match is my number 2 game show and Hollywood squares is my number 1 game show.
Jeff is adorable!
He looks like he enjoys life, and I was impressed by the fact that he chose the exact same 3 celebs I would have for super match assist: Betty, Brett, and Charles!
probably a good thing the judge is never shown, I think he might get mauled sometimes
He is though the years..
Toni was ROBBED!
If you mean the ''underwear'' question, it was Jaye's fault for answering with TWO answers instead of one. That makes a match so much harder.
I love how they had all of the sexual undertones! We were kids, but never caught on 😂🤣😂🤣
Brett Somers was a quick wit...
Excuse me!!! Bra and Panities ARE underwear or undies! WTF? Judges on something new.
Yeah, the judge blew it on that. Women's underwear by definition is panties +/- a bra. I can't see any rationale for not matching women's underwear and panties.
That was outrageous.
This is the you cant match a general with a sprcific rule. General is undewear ...specific is bra or panties. The rule is unevenly applird but that's the rule.
There's no way that was not a match.
If I got a case of Ready-crusts, I would be pretty happy. A nice mid-night snack.
Just the crusts? Ok you go ahead. I'd take the Rice a Roni the San Francisco treat. Its pretty good stuff.
And May you all rest in peace
Betty is still alive
Aw, Jeff seems like a sweet guy.
I agree. He was so happy. I wonder if he's still around? If he was 30, that would mean he's in his late 70s now.
I really dig Jaye P. - wish she could have been a regular
not i, she laughed at the most mundane things. and that laugh...
I like her but she didn't fit here.
@@tomitstube Oh shoot, I liked her laugh. It was genuine.
At what point in the show do they start calling on Richard almost every time?
past episode 40
Jeff Nichols looks like Steve Allen if he shaved off his mustache.
Trevor Panno: Maybe that's why he grew it. :P
He probably looks like him judging by the glasses.
I what friggin' universe is bra and panties not undies? She was totally ripped off!
The rule is you cant match a general with a specific. The general is underwear.. the specific is bra or panties. Just reporting the facts folks.
Hold up. Kids have had frogs, snakes, and spiders for pets before. that's not unusual. A lion...a zebra...yeah, that's unusual...and dumb.
Lol...Oh Lord, Richard got jokes!
Toni got ripped off
"in her nose" doesn't match "nose"? Wow. The question is hard enough.
I guess having a "cold in her nose" implies an illness, whereas a "cold nose" refers to being chilly but not sick. They were pedantic.
I heard someone whisper "grapes" at 5:59 ( I think Brett). And if I heard it Jeff had to have heard it. Jeff !!
I thought she said “Kraut” 🤣🤣
I think they should have given Joan a break with "In her Nose"/"Nose".
Nope.
Gotta agree with JJ, and with the explanation given on this one; one can have a cold nose without necessarily having a cold in one's nose, and vice-versa.
Toni's easy on the eyes, wish she'd have won so we could've seen more of her, er seen her more.
I'm sure she is in her 70's or 80's by now.
🤷♀️through the years I often wonder what the big deal was for CNR not wearing socks.
Well, they couldn't talk about him being gay, so I guess they fixated on the socks.
He didn't follow Brett's rules. It gave her a reason to grab camera time she thought it was a funny running gag.
ROFL! Another fine after dinner episode! :0) ROFL! Love ya Gene! ;0) ROFL! Love ya Charles! ;0 ROFL! Love ya Betty! ;0) Jack now.. ;0)
Wow they were really strict back then with matching haha
Love it on the initial time, the contestant chooses the celebrity to have win when they win the super match...
0:21 watch password
id love to but ABC destroyed most of it
im very glad match game still exists
I can't stand it, every time Gene says Jeff, I think of that Jeopardy meme and the scene from 21 Jump Street
Okay, so I know it's been a month of Sundays since you wrote this response, but do you happen to remember which scene in 21 Jump Street this reminded you of? I loved that show and watched it from beginning to end. But I still can't think of what you're referring to.
Nobody said Captain Kirk!
I thought the same thing, but then this was after Star Trek the TV series had ended and a few years before the first movie. In 1973, Captain Kirk was probably not the first thing most people would have thought of.
A precursor of School Riot: The Underwear riot! :)

Toni looks kinda like Nancy - I wonder if her boots are made for walking
Yes, and Jaye P looked a bit like Jane Fonda. I am think it's the haircut and glasses.
@@janejayne8152 -I would hope Jaye P would never betray her own country
Jaye P Morgan was never on the show again.
yes she was, in 1975 but I don't know the episode.
I've seen her on two other episodes on this very channel.
@@jjryan1352 Well, yes, she did ONE WEEK of shows. IMDB shows her only for this week of shows.
Jaye P Morgan did a lot of game shows. She was a judge on _The Gong Show_ a lot.
Was this episode the first time Gene hit on a contestant?
Who the Hell was JP Morgan?
Lol.. I don't remember either. and I kid in the the 70's.
Was Jaye P Morgan ever on again?
Never

how do you not come up with "mary had a cold {heart}"?
That judge SUCKED! Bras, panties, girdles ARE underwear. Ugh
I agree. If it were "JOHN never wears blank," then I wouldn't match underwear and panties, because then they would be very different things with different implications. But since we're talking about Mary, panties are definitely synonymous with women's underwear and so should have been considered a match. bra and panties IS underwear lol booooooo!
someone needs to clothe Jeff, he doesn't have much taste.
It was the 1970s; a lot of people didn't have taste that decade.
You can judge one period by the standards 50 years later.
And May you all rest in peace
Betty is still alive
Jaye P. Morgan is still alive and 92 years old now.
