Middlesborough is in Cleveland along with Hartlepool Stockton etc

Cleveland is northeast of Manchester on the North Sea coast, apparently. Not to be confused with Cleveland Ohio or Cleveland Tennessee.
It’s made up of Middlesbrough and some other surrounding towns and villages. Far closer to Newcastle than Manchester
I'm from Cleveland, it used to be a county but now all that remains of it are Cleveland police and Cleveland fire brigade. Cleveland actually straddles the border of Durham and North Yorkshire. I knew Cleveland would be number 1, it's terrible here.
I live in Normanby and I would never say we, as Cleveland are the most dangerous 🤣 it’s grim and terrible like you say and we have more cocaine abuse than London and many major European cities, however there’s far more dangerous places in England.
@@pete_90 I'm a Royal Cars driver and see all sorts. Teesside takes some amount of beating when it comes to ranking the worst places. I've lived down south and in Glasgow and Teesside is disgraceful.

Not all carry but there is armed forces
Armed police are specially trained to use guns. They can be called out when needed.
British police don't carry guns but that doesn't mean they don't have access to them.

You guys are thinking assaults or murders and you wonder what crimes are being considered.
They definitely should have broken it down by town as they need to get more specific.
London is one of the safest cities in the world. They only have a murder rate of around 1,5 per 100,000. That is VERY low. For example, New York City, the safest big city in the US, has a murder rate of 6 per 100,000, Chicago around 30, Philly 35, Baltimore 60, St Louis 90 per 100,000.
Most of the murders in these big cities are restricted to a few specific neighborhoods. I spent 9 years in a northern suburb of Chicago and felt just as safe as anywhere else I've lived.
