I do enjoy these style of reviews, I'm not a person that films but i travel a lot by plane. So backpack reviews for travel/studying can be really handy for tips on what to take with you.
I'm using Urth Norite (24L), and that's wat I've got inside it: - Zendure SuperTank Pro - Spigen magnetic powerbank - USB C cable - USB C to Lightning cable - ULANZI tripod for smartphones - DJI OM4 (especially when I record music videos for a friend) - USB PD 65W charger with changeable prongs (UK&EU) - Surface Laptop 3 - iPhone 12 and Pixel 6 - Jabra Elite 7 Pro/ Creative Outlier Pro
I've been running with a Samurai Tactical Hamzo Day Pack (29L) for travel and just picked up a Champion Stealth Sling for EDC. In the Hanzo -Blackmagic Pocket 4k -Sigma 18-35mm -Rode Video mic -Neewer 95Wh (6600mAh) V-Mount/V-Lock Battery (Various cables for camera an charging) For video editing (and gaming) ASUS TUF Gaming A15 15" with a Ryzen 74800h and an RTX2060 Also just got the Steam Deck so that's getting thrown in there too.
To answer the question: A Tumi Alpha Bravo of some kind from ~2016. Looks similar to the current "Navigation" model. Definitely not cheap, but the thing is functional, flexible, and apparently indestructible. It survived an undergrad degree, daily commuting on transit, multiple trips abroad, and it shows no sign of wear. It works well day-to-day and expands to allow me to cram it full of stuff when traveling. Definitely a case of "buy something good once and use it forever".
i am in a niche. i like to use loungefly back packs. they are just big enough to carry a switch and are pretty cute. just need to carry the switch, power bank, usb-c cable, earbuds, glasses case and a mask. sometimes i throw my keys in their too. Enough room left in there to through in a small snack to sneak in to a movie with.
Since I hardly go anywhere at the moment. My backpack has only stuff I get from my appointments. But hopefully my backpack will be loaded again, and I because it's starting to fall apart I have to upgrade the actual backpack. I'm surprised that a backpack I got from Hot Topic lasted me through the pandemic and a little more!
this is well put together and very informative, not just a list of products. I enjoy the real world scenarios and your own personal experiences tied in.
Hi Ken! I use the adidas Linear Backpack! I think it is approximately $30 it is a decent backpack for everything I need e.g. laptop iPhone iPad and cables I also use it for school work ! Keep up the great content!
My bag: main charger (from steamdeck), extra charger, battery bank, Steamdeck, Water Bottle, pens, pocket knife, wallet, sunglasses, notebook, Sony Linkbuds S, an micro-usb cable for battery bank, currently I've been carrying an 8bitdo pro2 controller, but i barely use it, a plug thing that makes one socket into two sockets.
I have a Bellroy Tokyo Totepack. Only time I carry a backpack is when I'm doing light travel (Away from home for > over 24hrs) so it's usually some clothes, toiletries, laptop, camera. Got two front compartments, laptop compartment and two bottle sized openings on the sides. Plenty of size, has a top handle for when I cba to shoulder it all and I feel compacts itself nicely when parts of the back aren't being used.
I've actually had my eyes set on the Tokyo Totepack. Already am a sucker for a good tote bag for my EDC, but finding one that bridges gaps with a backpack sold me on it
Nice video, one thing you could try instead of bottled aspirin if you haven't heard of them are BC Powders. Its powdered aspirin basically, they come in a box up to 50 (for the original) little individual packets. I use the Cherry flavor that come in a box of 24, great for travel. Amazon sells them.
My EDC bag is the Greenroom136 metromonger. The battery pack to charge the laptop is a god sent for me these days. I'm transitioning to a new laptop by the end of the year, and the requirement for me is to have the laptop chargeable with my 100w Xiaomi battery pack - comparable to your anker. Also, 100w GaN chargers are the bomb. My photography/videography tool has shrunken down a wee bit thanks to the RX100vi, but i am still looking for that perfect tripod - the Oben may just fit the bill!
a while back i bought a Billingham bag for my camera gear. amazing quality but stupidly went for the Hadley Large instead of the Pro as it could carry more lenses. unfortunately the bag is far too large for every day use and i only use it occasionally. also even though its stylish never buy a shoulder bag for camera gear as you will soon become the hunchback
The amount of bags I've bought to figure out what I really want is way higher than I'd like to admit. It really just takes living with it to see how it fits/doesn't fit into your life. I do wanna spring for a Billingham at some point, they're basically the classic, quintessential camera bag and will probably last a long time!
@@DenkiI feel your pain, the amount of trial and error purchases I make is too damn high too haha. Billingham are brilliant and I do use it, but my advice is definitely go for the smaller variant. It's just more practical

I'm trying to incorporate more practical bits in my videos that can be useful to people, so I appreciate the feedback here!

I ordered the LTT backpack. I think it’ll be the best travel bag for me and my use case to hold clothes and tech.
That Razer charger really is the ultimate one. The price hurts but itll charge anything, and FAST!

I have the peter mckinnon travel bag and a peek design everyday bag 21.

My exact video kit, excepting the GM. I am an F4 Zeiss pleb, if the 14mm stays at home. FX is hard to beat for doing the thing on the go.
F4 at least pairs well with the the low light performance for the FX!
@@Denki luv you and I love anime
@@Denki You know it. I also sort of dig the OSS. Was filming motorsports this weekend and it was very handy. Why can't we have OSS in the GMs 🤔

I have one of those for (when I used to go to) the gym. It's a solid backpack!
@@Denki OMG no way you replied! Thank you also I use a Lee Cooper Mini Backpack for the gym!
Peak design backpack all the way!
I used a laptop bag by Rugged Xtreme. It holds everything I need. I chose it because I use one of their work backpack and I really like the quality.
Would love to see Ken review the LTT backpack
I am on the hunt for a good camera bag, still haven’t settled on one yet

I want to add the Sony XM5'S and get a Killswitch case with the travel cover so i don't have to bring the bulky case

Why would you buy a multi charger when you can charge everything plugged up to your Mac?
2 Nintendo switch controls, my switch lite, & OnePlus 8 (backup phone) usually go with me everywhere
Love your vids man keep up the good work

Are Sony WH-1000XM5 black a fingerprint magnet? Not sure if I should go with black or silver ones....
They are especially this generation. Sony sent these over to me for review, but if it were up to me to pick, I'd get the other color
@@Denki Will follow your advice! Thanks! : ))
Wish I could afford All of these...well except I'll go for the m1 MBA highly speced

Are "cheap" GAN chargers ok? They may cause fires or over-charge your device...
