There is a lot to learn from Ted, he got a very personal tone and fraze in hes solo that make you recognize him directly. And his use of feedback is also special. And the harmonize with two guitars so good and he was a master of riff and grows! I FIRST MET HIM WHEN I WAS 13 YEARS OLD, TED WAS 22.,9 years older. PLAYING WITH THE AMBOY DUKES. I LEARNED EVERY SONG FROM THE MIGRATION ALBUM, UP TO the 🎉FREE FOR ALL LP. His instrumentals are priceless from migration to hibernation,,TED NUGENT WAS THE LARGEST GROSSING ACT IN ROCK HISTORY FROM 1977-1980. I worked briefly with Ted in the mid 90s. Can't count how many times I've seen or watch Ted Nugent play from 5-10 feet away... Relied on the fender super super twin reverb amps. Seen Ted Nugent battle Frank Marino from MAHOGANY RUSH. Been a Ted fan since Journey. Seen him right up front in '70 at Kickapoo Creek (Illinois' Woodstock). Still have my guitar he autographed for me with his teeth. Hired him to play at The College of Lake County on my 21st birthday. Ted saw a photo I gave to his Mom when he stopped in back at his folk's house, and His Mom called me and said Ted wants the negative so he can put it on the cover of his next album. When me and my girlfriend were there dropping it off, we played pinball with Ted's Mom on their Weekend Warriors pinball machine. After Rob Grange left, his music began to lose some of its magic for me. My favorite Ted album; Marriage on the Rocks.

I saw Ted Nugent including Derek St Holmes at Winterland in the early 70's. Absolutely the loudest concert ever. He opened the show shirtless standing on the very top of a literal wall of Fender amps with his Byrdland in full screaming feedback mode. He jumped to the stage floor with guitar in hand and proceeded to blow the roof off the place.

In those a bit older songs Ted's playing was (is) very "groovy". Same groove you can find from Eddie Van Halens playing later. Ted still is the nro 1 rock'n roll player. Only his big mouth is stopping him to get the status he deserves.

Having heard some of their songs, Kiss's huge success has always been a bit confusing to me. Ted Nugent's success, on the other hand, not so much. He's more than just a loud mouth, imho. Good show, David.

I always thought he was so way far ahead of the pack when it came to blending rhythm and lead together. He doesn't swing like van halen but he's harder than billy gibbons and finds the groove better than David Gilmore

I've seen Ted Nugent four times and he's never disappointed. I also seen Pink Floyd and Roger Waters about one month apart in Indianapolis. Back when Pink Floyd was on their Learning To Fly Tour. I was about 20 yards away from where someone landed after diving off the upper balcony and killed someone. They injured another, and I do believe that guy who dove off was paralyzed. He did it just as the show started too. Just as they started their opening number "Learning To Fly" It's bad because it ruined the show for me, and I never got to see them again. Roger Waters was great. But his sound wasn't near as good as Pink Floyd's. Gilmour's guitar playing is totally mind blowing. His solo's are just as powerful as the lyrics.
As for this video, Great job mentioning St Holmes. That was the era that I liked the best too,
I love all your history lessons that you do in these video's. Peace.. Joe

Bigotry = anti-freedom. He's clearly a fascist. But then the RW are afraid of books obviously, so they don't even know what freedom is, and think having the ability to oppress people who have less power is what "freedom" is. Nopes, bigotry is the exact opposite of freedom.
