You're right! Radishes are a fantastic fast-growing option. I harvest one or two nearly every day. I like how pretty they look on salads. I wish everything in the garden grew that easy!
Thank you for sharing your picks for the winter garden. I have a greenhouse that I have planted my winter vegetables in. So far I’ve been able to harvest lettuce and radishes, and have brassicas growing. I’ve been waiting for my peas to germinate, out in the raised beds. I love your container gardens too.
You're so welcome! My peas came up just a couple of weeks ago along the cattle panel trellis I have. Just in time for the freezing overnight temperatures, but they're doing really well.
I live in Glendale AZ and I am freezing! I have a turtle neck long sleeve shirt on with a heavy men's;felt long sleeve shirt over that, sitting with a blanket OVER me while sitting in my RECLINER watching you! Been over 30 years of living here. I could NEVER SURVIVE BACK EAST AGAIN!
I have a shade garden for leafy greens. This year I've had a very difficult time growing lettuce, kale and chard. Not sure if it's because of chem trails in the lower desert or by the birds that are hungry or that this is the second year I've done lettuce in that same bed. Could also be the winds that have dried the soil out quicker . I'm in zone 10. Not one year is the same! Thank you for your videos.
I think it's just part of gardening, every year is different! I would bet on the birds eating the seedlings as they emerge. I have to cover mine to keep the birds away. Covering the seeds may help with the birds and the wind. And thank you! I love sharing the garden with all of you.
Wow very informative video love it!!!!
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful.
We really enjoy the garden to kitchen to table ideas. Seems like radish is always being planted, growing or picked out of our garden.
