yeah - very happy watching Harry - and anything from Harry's Garage - and for me no need to have another channel called Harry's Farm or something, because I just enjoy his videos and his eclectic vehicles he shows us - he can do a video on any vehicle or device and I would be happy! Cheers.

Is there any limit to this mans talent? I think you could muck out a stable and make it interesting, I love the way Harry engages with the camera and talks to you instead of being a shouty man yelling at the camera.
    Great style and very charismatic.

Leave it to Harry - his presentation makes farm equipment absolutely fascinating to a classic car nut like me! Very informative and entertaining. I have now been convinced I need to own a farm tractor to cultivate and manage my 0.0575 Acre lawn. 😂

And definitely, do more! I am not sure how UA-cam would rate having a separate channel vs keeping them here with a separate playlist. I’m not sure how other viewers would feel or if you’d lose viewers. Some people get temperamental if you stray “off formula” but I watch mainly to see you present interesting stuff, not just for cars, so to me I’d say keep it on the same channel

I suspect most of the people who are interested in cars, are interested in machines in general. I like big bits of metal and while I'm highly unlikely ever to drive a tractor or combine, it was definitely interesting to see the videos.
I'd stick to a single channel with the odd off piste video.

Harry's Farm, yes please. I use to use our Fergie (TVO/Petrol) to mow grass (side mounted cutter, good for cutting fence poles), ploughing, disking/rolling our 60 acre farm, we had to tow it between fields with my Series 1 because it was so slow (max speed then, 18mph)

I last drove a tractor 25 years ago on a 20 acre farm, a Case International 454, all 52 horsepower of it and while I recognise a lot on the modern tractor especially the rear end, the cab and driving manner is a whole new world to me and although I'm only watching it's a little bit intimidating in its apparent complexity. I'd love to have a good go especially with a plough on the back as I used to really enjoy that. Excellent video as always.

I really enjoyed these two videos. I commute most days on motorcycles and so I take country roads for my 35 mile ride. I live in California’s Central Valley which is heavily agricultural, and I constantly pass huge tractors, combines, and other behemoths. I suspect some of the massive ones ARE satellite controlled when they are in the fields. These videos offered a great opportunity to see what the machines are like, close up and inside the cabs. Fun stuff! (Some of the equipment around here literally takes up a full two lanes of roadway- just incredible).

Ian Masters - There are three companies already building autonamous tractors.

    • @hedydd2
      @hedydd2 6 років тому

Autonomous tractors are the next big thing. They can be smaller and lighter than current tractors because they would be able to toil away 23 hours a day, seven days a week with only the stop to refuel and for inspection and replacement of soil engaging wearing parts and general maintenance. Only suitable for large scale, big field cereal farms though. Most other operations would be too varied and complex for any computer currently available and would be in 'Terminator' territory. When I say 'large scale' I do mean field sizes of about the size of Harry's whole farm. There are such vast areas in the Ukraine, Russia, Australia and maybe South America. There are single farms there that are roughly the size of Wales.

Excellent stuff Harry - please do more!
Nice to see the farmer's perspective on jobs I remember watching being done from my bedroom window as a child, and how they're changing due to technology etc.

Harry, thank you so much for sharing, brilliant video, such a refreshing change and a great education on farm vehicles.

Thanks for sharing your other endeavors! Your farm machines are just as sophisticated, if not more so, than the marques in your garage. I thought the air freshener was a nice touch too!

Yes definitely do a Harry's Farm channel. Nice all round Case tractor & video. Autosteer and headland management work very well when you've got that set up. Did you look at a (more expensive) Fendt?

I'm not sure how much content you could get for a complete extra channel.
These two video's have been great but I think people may be less interested in the differences between a 2018/2019 tractor - that's likely only to appeal to farmers and the odd enthusiast.
I think past the point of a vintage tractor vs a new one it will probably go way over people's heads.
On the other hand you make a brilliant job of presenting them. Taking the time to go through what they do and why makes a great video.
Some of the technical aspects such as how the axial flow drum of the combine work and are layed out in particular stand out as extremely interesting and informative.
This is the kind of deep understanding most presenters just don't possess and I personally would much rather watch someone like you who knows what they're talking about and who can articulate that in a clear, concise manner than some jester reading from the press pack.
If you can get enough variation in there it could be a winner.
On the other hand why not just post them on here?

Steering ratio adjust really good idea. Amazing the evolution from the shire horse horsepower plough to this formula one for farming machine. Interesting to see for a townie as I have only seen this type of machine from a train window. I'd like to see more of these videos.

Thanks Harry - really enjoyed this with my (tractor obsessed) 3 year old and we both learned something!

I love the different vehicles you highlight. Anything mechanized, two to however many wheels.

Please do Harry's Farm. I find this sort of stuff fascinating as it is, but it's even better with your fantastic presentation.
