What I find weird about the whole story, how did she allow the chocking thing to continue. If he choked her once, why not leave then? Choking is a serious thing it's not even like a slap it's very dangerous.

That's a good question but sadly there is an answer to it. He probably appoligized to her and promised to change, that's how it often is in cases of DV. I volunteered several years for a crisis helpline (not only for DV, but DV also was an issue) and it's rare that victims actually can stop when it happens the first time. There is also often psychological abuse going on, so she might have struggled with categorizing it and may have also believed that she needed to stay with him bc he might have told her so until she herself believed it. At least how some victims describe it. Sad but true 😓

@@maracuja320 it's so sad that even a beautiful smart woman like her couldn't get away. She got to a point she told her friends so I feel like they should have make her leave him and at least pressure her. If your friend tells you something like that, you do everything you can to stop her from staying at home. Its life threatening. It's a MURDER ATTEMPT. I just feel like this could and should have been prevented. it's sad.

If it's true what her friends say and she was suffering from a violent husband, then she really needed help. They allegedly told her that they would be there for her but even if they said so, in the end it's her decision to stay or leave no one can make that decision for her or pressure her to make such a decision. She had her entire life still in front of her...
