Got one of those a year ago for my birthday. It's been my favorite fuzz since. So many different great fuzz flavors. It does stack real nice with a Pharaoh too!
@@TheDistortionPrinciplethanks for the great review. I have the ehx rams reissue (j mascis looks though) but im really interested in the priestess. You say you can get it to sound the same? I really the lows, tightness and thickness of the ehx rams.
How do you compare it the Pharaoh? I love the Pharaoh and always have the Pharaoh supreme in my board. Imo it's the greatest fuzz pedal ever made. Period. I'm super interested in this one too, though I wonder if it's that different than the Pharaoh? Do they overlap, or do they sound different enough?
Happy New Year Bro and all I can say is the Pharoah is the king of muff style fuzzes and probably always will be. This is a Pharoah with extras on the sides. Killer.
My favorite Big Muff style pedal is the Hizumitas, but also like the BAT Crown of Horns. The Priestess is a killer of a pedal due to the fact that I do like the LSTR which makes it versatile. Someday I may get me one.
Black arts toneworks have done alot with the muff circuit and always deliver crushing varients, i have there crown of horns and love it, i will say the only muff varient thats never left my board is a earthbound audio supercollider, if you have never tried one i highly suggest picking one up and they also had a killer rat pedal and fuzz face. Great demo btw
@@TheDistortionPrinciple I never liked anything death by audio did, earthbound is a different company. I tried the black sheep I wasn't super impressed with it,but it's also not the type of fuzz I'm into either.
The Crown of Horns is a rad muff style pedal, but it pales in comparison to the Pharaoh or the Pharaoh Supreme. Those muff style fuzzes just destroy. And they sound sooooooo good when being driven by an overdrive or boosted. Such an amazing fuzz pedal. Though I am interested in trying this Priestess pedal.
Great demo!! Now I want one!! Man that's really thick sounding. I like the options and the 4 gain stages. Alot can be done with a pedal like that. I've occasionally seen one but never paid much interest to the pedal.
I've got the copper original edition. It's a great fuzz and gets along with overdrives. A question, what muff do you think is closer to it? I'm building a mini pb for small gigs, and I want to get a sound close to my "mid an large gigs" pb, so reissues are options. Or maybe a Son of Pharaoh?
Man, your channel is my favorite for pedal demos. Seems we have similar taste. I took a risk due to the lack of demos online (like you said) and pulled the trigger on one of these. Unfortunately, the Reverb seller was shady and never shipped so I picked up a Pharaoh instead (which I love). I think what I like most about the Priestess is the dedicated mids knob as opposed to the Pharaoh's high adjustment knob. What also jumps out at me is how you're able to get that velcro fuzz sound from the Priestess. On another note, have you tried the Idiotbox Dungeon Master? I snagged one and can't get enough. Unfortunately, there aren't any doom-focused reviews for that pedal eitehr. RI recommend watching the video from atarimatt for an alright demo. Happy new year!
I think the pharaoh and priestess are close enough to be happy with either bit different enough to be happy woth either. Havent tried the dungeon master. I did like his wylde kyle though
The pedal is outstanding well done demo and review I gotta say a lot of the riffs you play influence my approach to writing I will grade this pedal a PSA 10
What!?!!? Really??? How so? I'm a Pharaoh Supreme die-hard. It's been on my board for years at this point. Though I'm completely open to the fact that this pedal is better, just find it hard to believe because The Pharaoh IS Supreme!!!
@@jimtroeltsch5998 i havent tried the supreme version. But the priestess is very fat and thick. And can do some of the pharaohs sounds. Mostly the no diode and the silicon side. Plus it can do scooped fuzz sounds.

I just compared it to the gold anniversary muff i just got and i coukd get the same tones from the priestess , that mwans i get to sell the gold muff!
@@TheDistortionPrinciple Nice! I have a Pharaoh, Priestess & a Moon on my board. Got the fuzz angle covered!

@@aleixcasademont i might need to pick up or borrow a jhs muffuletta. Would be cool to see if i could get this to match each version

Awesome demo. Thanks for publishing it. Cheers.
Thanks!!!

Yea! I think its kicked the big fuzz off the board. Then again they are different enough that perhaps they could stay
Long Live The Pharaoh. The Pharaoh IS Supreme.

The hizumitas is so good
Outstanding professional vid my man makes me want one !
Its pretty sweet thanks!

Hmmm i didnr really enjoy the fuzz war but maybe i need to try the super collider. Would like to try a BAT black sheep as well

@@Tacklebox455 ahh man thats what i get for reading and replying while at work. For some reason I thought you said death by audio. My apologies

I thought it couldn’t get much heavier than their Pharaoh, but this is magnificent!
Loving the riffs and the demo! Cheers!
Yea this ones very heavy! Thanks
That’s a killer sounding muff pedal!
Its badass

It might make me put the big fuzz back in the box. It's so good

Its got more gain than a pharaoh and more gain than a black or green russian. I think i prefer the pharaoh. Son of would be cool for a board
Sounds killer and looks killer too.
Yea its sure a sweet looking graphic.

I'm only 1:14 in, but I had to stop to say that intro was fucking killer.
Thanks dude!

Nice! Glad I can do some sort of inspiration
Should I get this or the Pharaoh? Tough choice.
This is louder and more gain than the pharaoh. I think i prefer the pharaoh
Awesome demo. What song is the one you're playing riffs from during the first minute?
Sort of holy mountain
Thanks for the answer. Just couldn’t place it in my head haha
I bought it. This thing is better than the Pharaoh
