Mufficionados unite! Excellent demo of a most excellent pedal. Glad to see (and hear) this. I already own one, but this should be helpful to anyone considering adding a Priestess to their rig. Can't go wrong with BAT gear, in my opinion. Keep up the good work.
I have a Pharaoh supreme, so I don't know if I really need a Priestess even if it is different, but I'm really tempted. I love the Pharaoh. I also have a Crown of Horns which is a killer muff type pedal too.
Excellent demo of all the filthy noises needed, and good to see you back! Also, good shout for Joe's pedals, didnt know about the site and it's fantastic, all the pedals I've been hunting for and couldnt find.
Welcome back, I've been waiting! What I've noticed is that when metalheads try fuzz pedals they almost always sound so unusable, over the top. This isn't the case in your videos. One day You gotta make one explaining how you're using your gear in the first place.
Thanks, man! I'm wondering if a lot of metal guys are trying to play traditional metal riffs through them? Ola Englund for instance, won't get along with a Muff playing his usual stuff. It's all about the style, I think. Slow and simple riffs suit muffs best when they're not doing leads. But my signal chain is always the same (except guitars) when it comes to these, so you can always expect the Victory v30, set to "Bassman", pre-amp at 1 o'clock, EQ at noon, going through a vintage 30 1x12, captured with an SM57 and into an old Focustite Scarlett 2i4. I'm hoping to never change that and not use any post tools, so you'll always know what's going on!
Oh, man! I just realised this earlier today! I'm so sorry - I'm now unsure whether to do it now or in a shorts video . . . what do you think? Find out ASAP or find out with extra sound demos?
You know, I thought about dropping something in. I might do a quick video of it soon as there aren't too many around. But it's ace. So worth the money and then some. Proper DOOM STICK!
The sound in the intro was great! This is a very interesting fuzz pedal. I like how the mids and the tone controlls are working. I play baritone guitar and I use the Carcosa and the DROP DED hybrid fuzz (Analogwise Pedals), together with a Operation Trinity distortion and with a Mud Killer pedal in front of the signal chain and an 10 band equilizer at the end. I have various good dark distortion and fuzz sounds. But now I working on a new pedalboard and this Priestess fuzz sounds really good. I want it to combine with my GT73 pedal to get a some dark and brutal tones. I really like to experiment with different pedals and also the Moai Maea octave pedal has to be on my new pedalboard. Do you know fuzz pedals that have sub octave tones?
Thanks, man! Only low octaves that come toind are classics like the MXR Blue Box or fuzz/synths like the EQD Bit Commander... The tone and mid of the Priestess are really interactive for getting lots of subtle tones. I'm finding even more after this video!
Was thinking about getting this pedal but i was worried about whether my guitar would work out with it. Then i realized youre using the exact same one i own lol

Bought it. Is killer. Everything you need from a fuzz.
Sounds filthy! That sound at 9:57 with the tone down and mids cranked is incredible

Really excellent review and demos chief. Great presentation, you seem like the guy next door. All the best!
Thanks! Maybe I am! Mwahahahaha!
He makes wicked pedals. I used to see him on a SR forum years ago.
He really does. A lot of modern legends under his belt!

This muff sounds amazing. Oh, btw, I’ve still been waiting for you to unveil what the mystery overdrive was from your last video.

@@doctorfuzzzdirtbox I'm pretty patient, so if you prefer to do another video for a big reveal, I can wait for that.
That last riff sounds so familiar. Amazing.
That's the big sound, mate
I'm hearing The Sword

Very nice.
Man what a killer intro! What other effects did you use there please?
Incredible pedal, I'm drooling.
Thanks, man! The only other effect was the Valhalla Delay plugin on the lead/centre guitar. Best delay plugin I've ever used!
@@doctorfuzzzdirtbox thanks I'll check that out!

Can you do a supreme pharaoh demo and review? I own one and would like some insight.
I don't own one at the moment, sorry. Maybe in the future! If you've got one, maybe I should be asking you for the video! 🤣
@@doctorfuzzzdirtbox I do have an iPhone.. ppl have told me to try UA-cam.

Ghozer. Been listening recently... Good Stuff!

Team Fusion-T assemble!
Interesting. When I turn on clip 2 the volume kicks up significantly. Maybe the tone knob as you’ve suggested?
Volume goes UP when you turn it ON!?! That's odd. Even sounds like your toggle is the other way around to mine!
@@doctorfuzzzdirtbox I got it wrong! It does go down in volume. Silly me :-)
