You are right he talks about how he is the original 😊 . BigBang is a 2 generation kpop group but they had the first real rapline . Before them the rapper in a group was usualy that person who looked good, dance good but was not good enough to be a vocalist so the company would train them to do some rap. TOP used to be an underground rapper before his debut as an idol . He is an art expert and colector. The MV has references to 2001 a Space Odyssey and an art movement called Dadaism . The art was a response to the WW1 and it was a way to express the absurdity of war and deal with that trauma for the artists of that time. TOP anounced recently that he will build his own music label, a wine label and release a solo album and also a movie. He is also an award wining actor .
No before bigbang there wasn't any rappers in groups. At most they had 1 member say a line a little fast but it wasn't a rap (the only relevant kpop groups were shinhwa, H.O.T and Sechkies but none of them had rappers or had hip hop tracks, mostly pop/ballad or Pop/R&B but nothing resembling traditional rap until 1TYM. 1TYM was the only group that had a structured rapper line but they only lasted 3 or 4 years and then went on hiatus then BB used that structure and made it into an official group standard. Even then they were the only group doing R&B/Hip-Hop traditionally (This was the era of 2nd gen were the 1st groups were TVXQ, SS501, Super Junior, BIGBANG, Shinee, Beast, 2PM, 2AM, etc. Most of these were singer groups but held a line of rap or 2 in their songs because of BIGBANG). After them you had all kpop groups following their example because they saw how much of a success it was. You got Block B, B.A.P, BTS, EXO, etc. Most of these groups now had an actual rap line and released R&B or Hip-Hop music because of the initial success of BIGBANG bringin it to the korean Industry and it has been an industry/group standard since then. 2NE1 did something similar but for girl groups and introduced the girl crush concept as the female BIGBANG. Both of these groups completely changed the Korean music industry and set the standard for what most groups are today.

TOP is part of BigBang. They debuted in 2006 and are known as the Kings of KPop. Before BTS, BB racked up the awards with over 100 wins and more than 150 nominations. They haven't put out an album in 4 yrs due to military service and a huge scandal with one of the members. According to articles, there is new music maybe being released in early 2023?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe this song and music video references dadaism, a form of art. Dada art characteristics are weird and humorous, and it was a form of protest against society and other issues during the time it originated. Top is a fan of dadaism....just look at the weird things he sometimes posts on his Instagram. 😅🤔🧐

Great reaction🔥TOP's Doom Dada was a masterpiece itself. The apes was represented the 'Space Oddssey 2001' movie. The big chair was from TOP own collections as he's also a chair's collector. The deer and the deer painting at the room where TOP's sitting were represent his great great grandfather art, Kim Whanki (which you can see 'Whanki Foundation' written at the lower screen) ; Kim Whanki is a famous Korean painter. The ugly baby and TOP riding the motorcycle (I'm calling it motorcycle😅) was representing the famous movie, 'Journey To The West'. The mouthache TOP's been putting on at the end of the video was representing Salvador Dali, a great artist from Dadalism art. The broccoli like atomic explosion also from one of Salvador Dali's great painting (if I'm not mistaken). In this video only, there are so many references and that's why I'm calling this video is the art masterpiece itself. Really, really great quality of music video (and the song itself as well)🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

there are about 3 layers to this song + mv
- this is his comeback as a solo (“long time no see”) and is saying he’s gonna show the “kids” how it’s done by cleaning their ears with the fire of his rap (some say that creepy baby reps the “kids” he’s leading)
- love song to his love of art (here it’s mostly dadaism) and cinema as well as wine
- in a korean literature prof’s lyric breakdown, he also mentioned a more nuanced sensual layer to the wording of the song (korean words are made up of root words that have their own base meaning which gives more context on how the word is used and when and why and so on)
note: dadaism was created during the world war against all the propaganda and media manipulation used to sway and control public opinion.
TOP has always been straightforward in not wanting to completely follow idol agencies/expectations. for example, playing around with his answers about what it’s like to be part of the company or not showing up to company events because they were forcing him when he’s already shooting movies, commercial endorsements, curating museums, etc. .
when fans threaten to leave the fandom or unfollow on social media, he likes their comment and/or tells them to go ahead (he’s fully an unbothered king). an absolute troll- we love him for it (usually) 😅
this has gotten him in trouble with the heads of the company, but TOP has always answered honestly to doing these things when on interviews so fans like the honesty and accept his behavior.
plus, his bandmates are just as much as trolls as he is in their own ways so we all just go with their whims and fancies (it’s entertaining chaotic energy so like why wouldn’t we 😅😂).
