This is an expression of the love we feel for poetry. It features poems by poets at all levels, including my own poems, and poems written by the community. It's got a neighborly feel to it that we hope will grow. So share it around if you like it. The world needs more things that bring us together in common love for beauty, respect for artists who try, and for our fellow human animals.
This presentation is intended for enlightenment purposes only, and collects no money from anyone as a fee for performances given.

I was taken by Nils Peterson's idea of taking that longer poem or idea and making it as short a poem as he could...like a Haiku. I liked his attempt. Here's mine:
    Across the table
    Laughing-Breathless-Dad and me
    The chase suspended
There's no implication that the chase was anything but fun so it fails on that account. This might get a little closer...
    Across the table
    Finally laughing breathless
    Dad's chase suspended
    Anyway, that was fun. ;~)
Thanks for another great episode. Glad your throat settled down. Enjoyed oldmanhood and all the rest of the poets, especially the Kipling.
