Would love to see Can-Am make a comeback my own opinion best racing ever
I lived 15 minutes from laguna seca raceway in Monterey California. As a kid in the late 60's to the end of the series I watched these cars run. Mclaren's, jim halls chaparral. Great time.
Stood behind this car at Silverstone classic 2019 what an engine
Greatest sound in the world!
In Clarcksons voice!
Porsche flat 6 every time.
smokey yunik would be really happy to watch this.
That Lola is also badass.. even with the advanced aerodynamic, both cars must have been a handful
@Nicholas Baindbridge: He drove it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2009.
Back then this March had the body (longer nose) of the 707. After that it was converted back to the original 717 look, like in this video.
Hilborn injected aluminum BBC with straight pipes - Mmmmm ! Can sure tell the V8s from the V12s and Flat 12s when they go by. Thanks!
Those Big Bang Chevy V8's are my favorite. The McClaren M6's, M8's and M20 were fast as friggin hell.
Shawn C I have video's of those aswell. ua-cam.com/video/qER4aC1ZRVw/v-deo.html
I'm pretty sure I grew chest hairs just listening to this
@@justanotherlaid-backdude5297 Sweetest music you'll ever hear.
Beast mode on.
This unit was the same of 86 that can achieve 1500 hp, infact It would have been tested with Momo Moretti years later and proving successful
It’s like a hotrod that can handle turns!
Take this you formula e dental drill sounding race cars.
Cant stop electricity.
Ya buddy.
@@justinjohnson1766 This can.

Fabuloso, incrível...
IMHO the best race cars ever build. Embarasing.
Frickin awesome... sounds like a volcano eruption, 10 freight trains passing at once and a 30 m3 container being dropped from a skyscraper, all put into one sound
“Like a Norse God gargling a hammer”
@@snail415 yeah something like that..
Or a minor rock slide consisting of granite and empty metal dumpsters
But the green Lola T292 kicks everybody’s butt because it has a 3 liter Cosworth F1 engine.
I don't remember the Cosworth DFVs dominating CanAm like the Chevys did.
Just pray the bodywork stays on it when you’re going 170mph
They used to race CanAm a fair bit at Mosport where i took hundreds of photos in the 70's and 80's. It still bugs me that I never did get there for a CanAm event.
The closest I got to these was my 1/32 scale Chaparral slot car when I was 13. I still miss that too :)
BTW, how can a gomer title this video and not spell CanAm correctly with capital C, capital A? This must be the guy that writes the news articles about Nato and Nasa.
I used to marshal races at Mosport back in the day. CanAm races were the best. Loved to watch Bruce Mclaren and Denny Hume destroy the field and then after the race walk the pits and sell upgrades to their competitors. Both of those guys were very friendly and fun to be around. John Cordts (not sure on spelling) was an excellent driver always wondered why he never got a good sponsor ride. Steve O
I’ll take that kind of guy (who is also providing the very content you criticize) over the kind who craps on a title oversight from afar.
When/why did Sato drive this?
at 17400rpm
When race cars had personality and individuality
TAKUMA SATO(佐藤琢磨)の名前がドアにありますが、このマシンに乗ったのでしょうか?
Didn't Jeff Beck write a song about big blocks?

And on the 8th day God slept in late and the Devil used the opportunity to create CanAms.
Good sir, please stop squirting salad dressing in my stacks.
Velocity. Stacks.
Not verry fast track car round silverstone
oh stfu!
oh stfu
It's crazy that modern family cars are way faster than canam monsters, in the year 2200 Anno Domini.
What modern family car is faster around a track then a can am car?
