@@localjoe years ago when I did them, I always felt like you get the pop up and you "drop" into the lock with your shoulders and toe into it. Like you've gotta get up over it some distance then fall into it, that way you don't have to overthink the toe part of it your shoulders take care of business. That's what we do often the other way, but you have more leeway to stab directly into the grind and let your heelside keep you up, like a slappy. Rather than a flick and pointing it, you bend your knees, and go through that motion, ollie up, then at the apex above the ledge you make that little adjustment and lay it down. Hanging your foot off before pop sorta makes your shoulders shift to that toe edge longitudinally along the deck axis, but when you get used to the pop and shift, you can hold it the same as long as your ball of your foot ends up in the pocket. You can really carve in on heel edge and pop and shift it's a cool feeling like you're gonna go away from the ledge point but movement as a whole takes you there when you pop and float it.
I really like your channel and style of videos, as you aren't a pro. I can relate to someone who is more on my level, and learning new tricks with me / audience
Yooooo i was working on those in the last couple of days, great timing! I'm still kind of struggeling with the pop out but i'm getting the pinch and getting into it pretty good so i just need to figure out the pop out to learn those good. Thanks for this video, great tips! Also congrats on getting that front crook,it was insane!
31yo here. I'm so used to skating tight trucks half my life that I'll probably never loosen them up enough to pinch any crooks. It's a damn shame. I can fs noseslide easily though so at least I have that.
1) Your skateboarding is getting better exponentially.
2) Your explanations are getting even better!
3) THANK YOU!!
Thanks 🙏🏼
You’ve been doing a lot of polls about your video format recently, this right here is perfect for me. Good length, great breakdown, great vid.
Glad you like it I’m constantly working to improve and I think this video was culmination of a lot of feedback like you said so thanks for being here!

Cool videos! Just getting back in to skating at 47 and need all the help I can get.
You should put more skating in these videos!
I'm trying lots of different stuff but I'm definitely not against it.
Really well done on this video. Getting me stoked to try front crooks!

Thanks man they are a super technical trick but definitely doable!
Once you get that pinch it is the best feeling. And it’s such a good looking trick that it soon becomes all you wanna do!
