ANYONE WHO PLAYS IN MD: I will be playing at Horseshoe Casino this Saturday 11/6. I plan on getting there around 3pm. Hope to see you there!
Any particular time u plan on playing?
@@charlespryor7643 Hi Charles! I will edit that comment to say the time. Most likely I will be playing from around 3pm-7pm
The tight player on the QJ hand, he was betting small not for value, but as a blocker bet. He didn’t want to face a big bet. Depending on how deep you both were, I like a big raise against a tight player with small bet sizing. He would probably fold all one pair hands under pressure. This move alone will make your win rate skyrocket.
Hi Doug! Thanks for checking out my vlog I appreciate it. A big raise there makes sense. Knowing that player I think a big raise there with our stack sizes could have definitely worked. I really need to work on putting myself outside that comfort zone and making a proper bluff when its the right time. Thanks for the advice!
This was my thought exactly I looked to see if it had been said yet but very accurate. I would have made it about $125 total. A tight experienced player would likely trap with a check if they had a very strong hand to induce. That was a textbook raise for sure.
ESP that is a good idea try out new stuff and remember scared money don’t make no money. And if you think about it it’s not a total bluff obviously you don’t want a call on your raise but you have showdown value even if you do get called.
@@danthejunkman Thanks for the advice Danny! Great point!
It's great you are buying in deeper. 1/3 still plays shallow at Live and the Horseshoe, knowing opponent stack depth would be helpful in some spots. Against shorter stacks, I would play tighter and more straight forward. The deeper the stacks, the more maneuverability you will have.
Hi Mark! Thank you for the advice! Stack depth is something I should really think about more when playing. I will definitely keep that in mind when I play next!
Yes
Thank u Emily!
Pocket 10/10. Hammer the turn and call river w club blocker. Good bluff w 69. Don’t show next time. You can’t play multi-way w A4. Raise to isolate or fold. I watched your later vids also. Your bet sizing needs to go up, and you need to start 3 betting more. You’re also folding too much on rivers. They won’t have nuts that you fear they have, about half the time that u fold better hands. That’s the difference between a winning and losing session at these stakes. Good luck!
Thanks for the feedback Aaron! I definitely have a lot to work on
I’ve just moved from London to Philly and went to Live last night, good outcome +$800. Games here play a lot lighter than London. The £1/2 games run like £5/10s so I struggled to run up profits
Hey Man! Welcome! Glad Live went well for you. I'm half British so I've been across the pond a bunch I love it over there. And interesting! At least on the east coast that seems to be the theme. You should definitely check out Parx casino if you are in Philly! The games there play a little bigger!
Never fold the Big Lick (69s)
Hey Owen! Haha It was a tough spot. If I had Jack Seven I would have check raise bluffed!
My first piece of advice is fold 96s.
I don’t know why you didn’t call the guy when you had 69 on the 933 flop… yes he was betting, but he easily could have been bluffing… What hand did you put him on? Flush draw?? You raised pre flop so he probably didn’t have a 3… That’s another one of those hands that you should have folded pre-flop and then you got the best case scenario and you still folded the river… Improvement is needed.
Thanks Sage! and yea idk I felt like he just had a 9 with a better kicker
Rip
Big rip
In the 69hh hand, if I got to the turn as played, I would bomb it. Maybe 1.2x pot. If he has a 3 or TT+ that didn’t 3bet, he can have my money. As played, I don’t love the diamond, but folding is way too exploitable.
Also, in the first TT hand, if there was a pot size shove behind on the river, I would love jamming over his river lead. We block flushes, 9T combos, and straights. But I think there was like 150 behind, so it wouldn’t work. But just something to think about.
See ya Saturday!
Mat! Thank you so much for the comment! Yes a lot to take away from this session definitely appreciate the feedback! Can't wait to play Saturday!
