Reparations are a fundamentally unbiblical model of justice. Biblical justice is focused on specific restitution between meaningful moral agents: so, eg, one man harms another in some way, so makes restitution. A victim and someone who has done a wrong. The argument here in this video that there’s a distinction between ‘guilt and consequences’ is nonsense. There IS NO guilt if the person who performed the act is no longer alive. Correcting cause and effect of history is a flawed, foolish effort. Those seeking reparations from western institutions are not asking for reparations from sub-African leaders who stole their ancestors. Why not? These people on this panel would not think it’s reasonable for Anglo-Saxon descendants to ask reparations from Norman descendants. Why not? The answer is obvious - this is a race grift, and discussions like this present the appearance of being oh-so-sophisticated, when it’s nothing of the sort.
