Toss up. In northern CA there’s Mill Pond and Jedediah Smith. Both in the Redwoods. One has giant trees cut short that you’re camping around. The other is just as pretty.
The advantage of having the disability pass is you can often show up without a reservation and get a spot.

I bought a Senior Pass last year and have used it lots! The crazy thing is I only found out 2 days ago that I could get a 50% discount on camping spots in my "local" campgrounds. You have no idea how that made my day!! Being a Senior on a fixed income ... that's an awesome bonus.
Yeah, major saving with the pass. We visit many parks every year. Yes...as a veteran, we have the lifetime military pass.
I love that they have the various passes for everyone and that it encourages everyone to get out there and see more places in the US!!!

I agree that’s why I love getting out and re-creating in the outdoors. There’s something to every season here and there’s so many things that you can see and enjoy about being out in nature.

Annual passes are great. Been getting them since they were called Golden Eagle Pass when my family car camped across country & back.

ACCESS PASS for the Disabled. FREE ENTRY into ALL NATIONAL PARKS. I have one and its fantastic! Discount on tent sites only, not bad if ur self contained. No rv discounts and not at all national parks. Corp of engineers campgrounds always half priced for HANDICAP
Not bad at all!!!! I have found that all campsites I have stayed at have different offerings for park passes but also different levels have different perks... so this is great to know!!!
I have the handicap America beautiful life time pass, I enjoy going to the National Parks , National forest and nature reserves, core of engineers campgrounds, it makes camping and traveling more affordable, safe travels🤗💕I’m camping at Cumberland Gap National Park wilderness Rd campground for half price. Cumberland Gap is where Ky, Tn & Va. meet .

Love ur sun glasses. I have a veteran pass for life time to free federal national parks. Some state parks will give 50% off camp sites w vet pass. American Indian Tribal Members get in free w tribal ID but pay 4 camp sites; some state parks give 50% off 4 camp sites.
Those are good pieces of information to note. Thank you so much for sharing that. Some of the passes I am more familiar with because they are more commonly requested that I find out information others do not give as much information from the additional benefits. Also from state to state, I’ve noticed that they recognize passes differently if you go to various state entities. So thank you so much much.
Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is now one of my favorites since I moved to Florida

@@BunnyPlaysHere it’s a Spanish fort. If I remember correctly, it was the first fort built in Florida when the Spanish sailed here to colonize. Lots of cool history there.

I prefer to travel here in USA 🇺🇸. America is so beautiful why would I want to go anywhere else before seeing all that America 🇺🇸 has to offer. When we travel it is usually 4-7 of us in a group and using the national park pass we save a lot $$$.
I think that every place has such interesting history so I do believe that eventually traveling abroad is something I would want to do just because I think it would be cool to go see all of the castles and places that existed long before our country as of today. However, I think that a lot of people as they see those kinds of things discount the things that we have which others do not.

I’m quite a ways away from that lol but my goal is not necessarily to have big rewards but more so to have the reward of getting people out there aware of the things that are available available. That’s a bigger value to me than anything.

Off topic...you finally sold me on a MORSEL SPORT...BOILING WATER NOW FOR MOUNTAIN HOUSE. I have the senior lifetime pass for the last 3 years....the senior pass also admits your spouse or other free not just you. Half off camping in many places
I think you will love the Morsel!! I have used that more than any other piece of camping equipment I own...lol
Campgrounds operated by the Army Corps of engineers arevav real bargain. They're low cost to begin with and Mr ATB card gets me in at half price. Most campgrounds have full hookups and hot showers and flush toilets and the brick restroom serves as tornado shelter if needed. All stays app can show where they are
Cades Cove is my favorite place.
Lake Mead was the only place besides Vegas that I got to get out of my sister's semi and actually see it. I must go back. Anyway, I bought a state park pass since I'll be living in my van here for the next year or so. I have several parks near me or within a decent drive so I'll always have a place to go during the day. And a few of the parks have man made beaches so I can spend the day at the beach. I will be getting a national park pass when I venture out in the big world. Happy trails!
