Hello, Callie and Christy! I am late to the party, but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed y’all’s recap of Stitch-Con and all the adventures y’all shared with us. ☺️ I think my favorite part was seeing all the wonderful photos of everyone y’all met. 🩷 Callie, I just loved the little chicken you got from the gift exchange…too precious! Christy, my favorite thing of yours was the little Altoid tin with all the stitchy goodies in it…what a great gift! Thank you both for taking the time to share all the goodness. So glad you were able to have a great experience despite coming down sick. It was especially great to meet you in person as well as Chrisxross stitch. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during your conversations. I’m sure it was a hilarious time. And Christy you only have to drive another couple of hours and you can take a tunnel or the bridge and you will be in my city in 🇨🇦. So when you are ready for another road trip comon up North. 😊

The floss sticks are for threading your needles although you can also buy them for your teeth. They’re thicker.

This is a few tips I have personally used and have had great results, I used to get sick every time I took a trip, so I started trying different things and this routine has kept me healthy for over a year. I take a Zyrtec every day, along with the generic airborne gummies from Walmart, I start using Flonase two weeks before a trip and for about a week after. Then I only use it if I start sneezing. Once I’m on the trip I add an extra gummy every day that I am gone. I know it sounds like a lot but I have not had to be on antibiotics for more than a year and I was literally going to the dr every couple of months with sinus infections.

It is so fun listening to first time attendees to StitchCon tell about their experience! Weekend B sounds like it was fantastic, and had so many people that I want to meet attend! StitchCon is such a wonderful weekend not only for the friendships and fun, but how much good they do for the charity they choose. I am so glad you both had such a fabulous time! The charity that runs the Sleepy Heads program is New Life Furniture, just for reference. My husband actually helped to develop their original website, so we have a close connection to them. It was beyond amazing to hear everything that was raised for them!

You will love your phone holder. I have one on my stitching table and use it to watch floss tubes.

I’ve always wanted to do stitchcon, but I don’t real life friends who stitch, so I’d have to go alone, and that gives me anxiety. lol. I’m so glad you guys had an amazing time!!

There is always so much to talk about with other stitchers. I have more to talk about with stitchy strangers than with my own family!
I went alone and knew no one. I was so nervous and anxious I almost canceled. I braved it and at 77 yrs. old I proved I could do it. I met the most amazing people and was greeted with such kindness. I’m so glad I went and I hope to go next year. You will love it.
Don’t be afraid of going by yourself. I have gone to 2 retreats not knowing a soul and come home with new friends from all over the world and Stitch con is definitely something to be a part of.

I attended Stitch-Con weekend A. You did a great job describing the awe, the wonder, the fatigue. The only thing that would have made it better for me would have been the chance to meet you two. Thank you, friends, for making videos and telling great stories. 🫶
