Can't wait for 4K test of the real 4070 we should care to buy in 2024. Msi voltage curve optimizer results are going to be impressive when you see the performance this card gets at 200W (in games not full using all the die and tech)...

I just bought the 4070 ti super (worst name ever) and I am so excited. I am upgrading from a 2070 super and jumping up to 1440p and I am glad no one else like it, cause I got it at msrp…it’s a huge upgrade for me and will last me for several years before I notice my games slowing down here. This is the best 4070tiS benchmark video I've seen. All the most demanding games and settings are included. What's more the 4070tiS was OC'ed quite a lot, so I can really see what this card can do for real. Right now I'm leaning towards the 4080S, but if the particular model I want to buy (asus pro art) will be sold by August 8, I'll go with the 4070tiS, and based on this video I know I'll still be happy with 4070tiS performance.

This is my environment. I play on a big living room OLED and so I either go with 1800p, 1944p or 2160p. From my testing, this card is much more capable than outputting at just 1440p, a res which I consider to be too low and inadequate on a 65" screen, so I never render that way anyway.

    • @Th3_Dark_Side
      @Th3_Dark_Side 5 місяців тому +3

@@_Quint_ I don't see much benefits from a 4080. Even the 4080 can not achieve 60+ Fps in modern titles with RT enabled without using upscaling techs. And if you enable upscaling than both cards the 4070 Ti Super and 4080 can achieve the 60+ Fps experience. Maybe with the 4070 Ti Super you will get 80 Fps than 100 with the 4080. But that's not really a problem. So you must decide if the 20 more Fps is really worth it 300 bucks more.

these long videos are absolutely awesome!
a question - how does Alan Wake 2 feel with DLSS Q and FG on? do you feel a lot of latency and how does it look? i would imagine that it would get a bit soft, at least that at 1440p, upscaled from 1080p (i think DLSS Q on 1440p is rendering at 1080p?) . or any other negatives as well? obviously this is subjective, im just curious, if you would play the game like that or if you would play it natively or with DLSS Q but without PT and FG
EDIT: and same question goes for Cyberpunk i guess, just have gotten to that part in in the video lol

    • @DELTA9XTC
      @DELTA9XTC 5 місяців тому

Star Wars at 22:26 how weird is that, the GPU is used around 50% since you activated DLSS and the game is rendering at 1080p. I guess the CPU has a problem with doing RT, DLSS. The GPU is also using WAY less power than it should. These settings look like (i dont mean visually) a mess in this game, but we know that this game had massive problems in the beginning and its still not great performance wise

@@AncientGameplays thanks for the answer! does the AMD FG work exactly as good? what ive seen ppl do - if native FPS are high enough at like 60+ - is activating only AMD FG, so they dont have to use FSR upscaling together with the FG, so they dont get as many artifacts. Im talking about the actual AMD FSR 3 frame generation, not AFMF.
ive also seen FSR 3 FG mods to allow ppl with RTX cards to activate DLSS combined with AMD FSR 3 FG, if DLSS FG isnt in the game.

To my eyes, DLSSQ looks the same as DLAA (native) in this game. Both look pretty soft, so I'm playing at 4K DLSS performance downscaled to 1440p (DLDSR 80% filter settings) and I'm also using reshade CAS and luma sharperning masks. The image quality looks much more detailed compared to standard 1440p DLSS Quality. As for Frame Gen, I can feel the increased input lag even on gamepad if my base fps is around 45-55fps, but it's tolerable.

    • @DELTA9XTC
      @DELTA9XTC Місяць тому

@@PabloB888 do you have a smaller 4k screen to test it out? I just got my ASUS PG32UCDM 2 weeks ago, thats one of the new 32 inch 4k 240hz QD-OLED (absolutely amazing btw. Came from IPS, the difference to OLED is most of the time, virtually always, really insane). Just asking bc I want to increase my pre-excitement. As soon as the RTX 5090 is out, I will build the best possible pc. So either pair it with 7800x3D or 9800x3D or Intel Arrow Lake, if thats already out by then and actually better than the x3D CPUs in gaming. So end of this year or early next year I can see for myself, for the time being I can only simulate it with GeforceNow 4k120 streaming/cloud gaming.
Its just not exactly 100% like running it locally, its a biiiiiiiiiit worse, image-quality wise. GFN is insanely good (was crazy surprised how good this specific cloud gaming service is) but not just as good. Cant exactly tell how much worse bc I cant run this stuff natively on my current pc until I have my new pc lol. Thats why Im asking for experiences. 🙂

I would've bought the 4070Ti Super if it came out instead of the 4070Ti 😅 at the end I picked the 7900 xtx because it's faster and has more than 12gb of vram. If the regular 4070ti had 16gigs I'd taken it since it was slightly cheaper. It's a joke that a 800$ card had 12 gigs, it was slightly slower than the super as well 😂

What are you on about? 120FPS average in most games and 60FPS with RT. The only parts it struggled with were games using new path tracing tech and even there you can get a stable 60FPS if you don't undervolt and drop to DLSS balanced which is indistinguishable from quality.
If you want to wait for 50 series that's fine considering it's almost here but this card will hold up excellently. 2080ti or RX 6800 tier of quality here.

At the prices NVIDEA is charging 60 FPS at 1440p IS bottom of the barell performance. What I think you're missing is that the performance you're quoting, and looking at as OK, is for the games in the here and now. I expect that performance at the end of three years, and clearly these card will not be anywhere close to that with the games that are out now. I wil absolutely be looking at the next gen, hoping they deliver better performance for the very poor value prices being charged. The current 4070 TI Super is basically a tarted up old tech at this point. Which NVIDEA is absolutely charging through the nose for. I'm not sure next gen is going to be any better in terms of value, but it MIGHT be a bit better in terms of performance (though yes I obviously hope it's better value too). Looking above 4070 TI Super is just mental in terms of price, so no, the 4090 isn't an option. And I shouldn't have to look at that level of card to get decent performance. NVIDEA is just selling poorly performing products at dumb ass prices. Hopefully the AI market gets saturated and the PC consumer market comes back to something a bit more sensible. It'll happen sooner or later. All bubbles burst...and AI might just be the latest example of the hype train gone mental. Time will tell.....

honestly, the experience has been better on 7900 xt. Super high 1% lows and smooth frametime charts.
4070 ti super i see allot of micro stutters, and dips.
Then little spikes I see even in this video, I don't have on the 7900 xt.
Come to find out suttering and micro sutters were an issue, that Nvidia just patched. I can confirm however the problem still exists with Vsync enabled making it worse. Depending on the game.

In one game the 4070tiS has a slightly better average and 1% lows, and in another the 7900XT has a slightly better fps, but I havent seen benchmark data that would show the 7900XT offers clearly much better experience when it comes to 1% lows. With my 470 TI super overclock.
    cyberpunk 1440 ultra - 110fps
    4k - 59
This is using the actual built-in benchmark.
No undervolt is applied, I've noticed through extensive testing that even if the card seems to be running fine there is a power loss to the memory.
Even going down by .5 netted a performance lose.
My power limit allows me to go to 110.
Using superposition benchmark, and cyberpunk at 1440p ultra I was able to accurately establish the best performance.
I tested it for 2 days.
These cards are very interesting when it comes to overclocking and under voting.
For example I could push my memory to 1600 MHz, and they would run stable in perfectly fine.
Yet I would have it performance loss.
1500 was my most stable with a 140 core.
This was with the power limits at their max fans at 50%.
With these settings it's quite a performance bump. Often resulting in a 12% increase, very similar to my 7900 XT overclock in terms of gains anyway.
The way I establish this testing is I first ran my overclock with maximum power limits.
I would then create a custom curve, and go down by just 5 millivolts.
Each time there is a slight performance loss, despite the clocks appearing to still run at the rated speed.
    Very interesting.

I live near Liverpool and I paid 799.00 for my ASUS model from an independent retailer. You just need to avoid the big mainstream sources and make yourself aware of the dozens of other smaller merchants out there who carry PC hardware.
This is a brilliant GPU that with an overclock can get within 6% of a stock 4080, for £200 less. To any sensible person this would clearly be the smarter choice, which is also an observation I noticed JayzTwoCents made in one of his recent videos. The guys over at Hardware Unboxed came to the exact same conclusion in their recent Podcast.
At the same time, I'd recommend anyone do their own testing or research (where possible) and not just go along with umpteen hundred UA-camr and Reddit commentary ie "this card is bad". So many fall for it even though there's a lot of cut and dry nonsense out there about graphics cards which is almost always completely lacking in nuance.

the 4070 ti super was such a terrible experience.

Yeah, in some games but overall runs well as seen. The 7900xt is smoother though

I purchased the RTX4080S and have not experienced any stuttering issues. You either had a faulty graphics card or faulty driver installation. For example, some people reported stuttering when they installed the beta version of GeForce Experience, and they had to install certified drivers to get a smooth experience.
I have bought several graphics cards over the years (TNT2, Geforce 2MX, Geforce 3, Geforce 8800Ultra, GTX680, GTX 1080 and 1080ti), but so far I have never been more impressed with a GPU. I'm able to max out my 1440p 170Hz monitor in many games, and even RT's performance exceeded my expectations. In fact this card is so fast that I'm playting at 4K DLSSQ downscaled to 1440p using AI powered DLDSR I still get high refresh rate experience experience even in very demanding RT games. I'm also pleasantly surprised at how smooth and responsive the DLSS3 frame generation feels, this feature is absolutely usable and certainly improves the experience. Before I tried FSR3 frame gen, but it wasnt so good.
I think AMD CPUs are amazing, but when it comes to GPUs they just cant compete with Nvidia. AMD cards are slightly cheaper, but the 7900XTX consumes 100W more on average, so I would save $100 up front, but pay much more in the long run due to higher power bills. I would also get much inferior experience for the next few years. Thanks to the AI-powered DSR, I get a much more detailed and sharper image in raster games, and because I can use it with DLSSQ, I don't even lose performance compared to native TAA. On AMD card I would need to use 4x downscaling factor and not even 7900XTX is fast enough to run it in modern games. I also get much faster RT (up to 2x in heavy RT workloads) and much better looking RT effects on top of that because AMD cards do not support ray reconstruction. Maybe the RX 8000 series will offer a better experience, but for now the RX 7000 series just cannot compete with Nvidia.

I want to get into streaming, and for reasons I need to have it set up through adrenaline, and I do, everything works just fine, BUT, I have the chat window set up to show up on my screen but that creates a dark grey window where my chat is, can I somehow make the chat window completely see through while working as intended, showing chat and such? Please son of the great one, help this poor wonderer :c :D

the result of Nvidia marketing process. shame. these are not bad cards or gpu's, just not what we want.....especially when you pay a solid amount of money for those........
and this was not always like this. 300€ for a solid gaming gpu was not so long ago
i recon dlss 3++, +, +,😅 is good, but i can't tell myself, i bought a 4070 ti super, i'm happy, and it will last long.
just thinking, memory bandwidth starved gpu, 1% lows to low........
just kidding but there is some fair reasons here.

To be fair this is a great video. The best one for someone who is considering buying this.
Right now i honestly think 4070 ti super is the best value card on the market
It has no issues other than the price
If we cut back on some things then we can make room for this.
It has 16 gb of vram and all the nvidia features like ray tracing, path tracing, dlss and others.
These make nvidia better than amd imo.❤
