I waited on this release for a few months.Got it back in 02.Saw Primus open for Rush in Columbia,S.C...March 5,1992.Seas of cheese tour. What an illustrious career.Saw theFancy band in Aheville in 07.What a difference!Very versatile man
Philip "Fish" Fisher on drums. Played drums for Fishbone for 10+ years. I really wish he was still with the group. He also plays drums on "D's Diner." Saw Primus in 1991 when they opened up for Public Enemy and Anthrax!! Saw them again in 1992 when they opened up for Rush!! I need to see 'em again.
I'm goin down to South Park, gonna have myself the time Friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptations I'm goin down to South Park, gonna leave my woes behind Ample parking day or night, people spouting "Howdy, neighbor" I'm headin on out to South Park, gonna see if I can't unwind Our whole town is bigger dammit, right down to the little granite Come on down to South Park, and meet some friends of mine
@richie1303 Claypool had a bunch of projects outside of Primus, some of which only released 1 album. Oysterhead, Les Claypool & The Holy Mackeral, Frog Brigade, Sausage, they were all awesome.
@wicho661 actually Dubstep has it's roots in England 1998, but it barely hit mainstream until around 2002. Even then, it was still underground. Primus Purple Onion was released around 2002, but I really doubt that Les Claypool was listening to Dubstep at all. So when it comes down to it, Primus is just Kickass and no questions asked.
i knew about les claypool and this song way before it was used for south park but i will say i thought it was cool when they used the whamola riff from this
@MrStrangeSensation and btw have you by any chance seen the film electric apricot quest for festeroo? cos i would like to know if it is worth watching ^^
@StrongIntelligent 1) This version came first and was sampled into the southpark theme 2) There is no banjo in that version...I have no idea where you got that idea
Going down to south park gonna have myself a time Friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptation Going down to south park gonna leave my woes behind Ample parking day or night people spouting "howdy neighbor" Heading on up to south park gonna see if I can't unwind "Mumbles in parka" So come on down to south park and meet some friends of mine.
im sure he at least listened to Rush, how could you not? I saw a few ago and the Residents opened. and ounce were when they had there "Oddity fair" show. the opening bands were great but i honestly do not remember any of them.
Les is a very big fan of Rush. he has stated so in interviews and has covered many of their songs in a live environment. Plus stealing the intro to YYZ for one of the songs on Frizzle Fry.
Putting South Park aside, this would unironically make a great boss fight soundtrack for a video game, at least in my opinion
I could've sworn this was in like an old ps2 era game title screen like a tony hawk or mx vs atv or smth
LittleBigPlanet 3 was going to do that for it's first boss, seen in an alpha build, but it was sadly removed.
It also sounds like character select screen music. Especially if you loop 0:23 - 0:50.
Friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptations
Amble parking day or night, people shouting HOWDY NEIGHBOUR

I love your profile pic! I love Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi
I had no idea this was on South Park, I recently discovered this song thanks to fucking Les Claypool
Les is pretty good at
w h a c k i n g h i s s t i c k
So it was Les Claypool who invented dubstep
I love how he plays this with a drumstick instead of his fingers or a pick.
Its an e bow.
@@SoftPourKorn he definitely uses a drumstick, when he plays this live anyway
i had no idea that the south park theme was based off a real song. this is awesome
"Who's gonna do what simon says?"
*SCREEEEEEECH*
Apparently simon said to tear a metal sheet in half
Primus opening for Rush sounds like an amazing show, hands down to of the best bass players.
Well you got it partially right!
This aged so well
Love this fucking song.
i saw les perform this live. it was unreal. dopest show ever
I came here after only hearing the live version, and still prefer the live version.
Been looking for the studio version for ages!! Thanks so much :D

les claypools a beast. He takes trippy things you would hear in a dream and turn it into music!!!!
To everyone this was remixed with the south park theme in 2006
While the original song itself was from the late 90s/early 2000s
I can't stop seeing footages of black humor animated series and 00s youtube videos and games

Here from Discover Weekly
You still deserve Kudos.
It certainly rocks! But to me, this is genre-defying :D
is this the full version of south park's season 10 intro
+Daniel Wallace Yup. Well, sorta. The south park theme is a remake.
The instrumental is from this. The vocals are from the original south park theme.
But Kenny's line was changed.
yes
Daniel Wallace i thought i recognised this somewhere
its also in the september 2013 alpha build of littlebigplanet 3
Wow, what an awesome song! It'd be awesome if this was used in the intro to a cartoon about a small Colorado town!
Best instrument ever.
pretty sick - never heard this before.

I'm a sucker for the whump-whump..... grawr. And the insanity of that sax. Oooh. >;P

Yeah, I agree!
budundundundundundun bom bom
I like the live version when he tells mr green cowboy hat man to stay on that side of the stage and be amazing.
SOUTH PARK
NO
@doctorbeepers Yes, South park, and the guy singing at the beginning is also Les Claypool, and the guy with the Banjo is supposed to be him. :L
This is what eating paste feels like.
Going on down to South Park to see if I can't unwind. . .... oh wait wrong song 🤣 🤣 this song rocks 🤘🏼🤘🏼
it frog time
It was an amazing show for sure!! One bass player heavily influenced by another. Same with the drummers I would guess.
AKTUCLLY it’s not bass. It’s an obscure instrument called the whamola
Yg hey used this for one of the seasons of S.P :)

I didn't know that any of the remixes of south parks intro were still from Primus. I thought they only ever kept Les' vocals.
Thumbs up!
sounds like someone running a chainsaw
Ample parking day or night, people spouting “Howdy neighbour”!
this is les claypool.. lead singer/bassist for Primus back in the day.. did you notice the original southpark song is Primus?
This song is just sex. (And no I am a Primus fan. I didn't even know the South Park theme was Primus until today xD)
What sort of Primus fan wouldn't know they did the South Park theme?
A Primus fan that doesn't watch South Park
The Life Poster What sort of Primus fan would not watch South Park?
What sort of human is not a Primus fan?
+The Life Poster What sort of confusion am I experiencing right now?
If there’s ever anyone out there who can match or exceed Les’ ability to dream up something like this, I’ll be VERY unhappy.
@richie1303
Claypool had a bunch of projects outside of Primus, some of which only released 1 album. Oysterhead, Les Claypool & The Holy Mackeral, Frog Brigade, Sausage, they were all awesome.
just found this today bout 10 mins ago.

the perfect song for a shroom trip!
If your currently listening to this you are either a fan of South park or the lbp 3 alpha
Lbp3 alpha, South Park isn’t that great
I’m only here because of the LBP3 alpha
doctorbeepers ROCK ON! that is the South Park them!
This is the only version of it's kind at the time it was written
@wicho661 actually Dubstep has it's roots in England 1998, but it barely hit mainstream until around 2002. Even then, it was still underground. too bad you werent savvy enough to figure this shit out prior to southpark. The more psychedelic shit he does the better it sounds.

@Bobofjudia Ya they played this last night in Mesa, AZ in the first half of the show. So awesome! I got some video :)
yea..... it sampled this song about 4 years after it's release.
Known since 1989.
It's Phillip "FIsh" Fisher från Fishbone on the drums!
@doctorbeepers no i think its the muppet show
I knew about this because of listening to Claypool first and watching South Park seconds. +1.
@StrongIntelligent 1) This version came first and was sampled into the southpark theme
2) There is no banjo in that version...I have no idea where you got that idea

this is a Littlebigplanet3 alpha song
Yep
SOUTH PARK!!
...ample parking day or night, people spouting howdy neighbor...
South Park is the most crazy, funny and cool show ever! same as Les Claypool.
I couldn't imagine the price one would pay for the original monkey mask and whamola Les uses.
Jinx Gold I'd pay a penny, cuz I can't play it like Les can.
I knew who he was before South Park, but the show led me here nonetheless.
Lbp 3 alpha music
@CourtJackal001 There is, at the beginning. And of course I know this version came first.
0:52 got me like

Sounds weird without the South Park banjo in it.
