How much does your hiking camera gear weigh? Love your videos!

HI Sarah. Does your Shimoda discount code work for any purchases in Canada, or only in the US?

Also started out with the 17-40, then the 16-35 2.8 (until I dropped it...woops), and now the F4 IS

Ahhhh the good ol days of the 17-40!!! 💛 And the not so good days of dropping gear 😆 A painful lesson for most of us

Sarah, I have a 130mm prime thats just absolute magic, maybe that's something fun to try! I'm sure Canon has something like that?

Interested in the issue you have with Kase filters, or rather the issue with Kase. I'm not affiliated in any way with them but keen to get your thoughts.

Presently going back to DSLRs and updating my landscape/hiking kit. Rocking the 20mm f1.8 and 24-85mm presently but also looking to get the 16-35 and the 24-120 f/4s in order to keep it light.
Being that the 70-200 is bulky and heavy, less so with the f4 version, would it be more practical... I don't know. So my question to you Sarah is with that 70-200 how often do you find yourself shooting in the 120-200mm range and what is actually your most used zoom range on that lens? I'm personally wondering if that additional 80mm is going to hurt me if I'm on a 46Mp sensor.
BTW, Hands down the best tool in your kit is that yellow dress. It has become iconic and the defining signature of your work 🥰

Haha Art you’re awesome! We love the yellow dress. So glad you guys are on the yellow dress journey with me!
I’ve used into the 200 range many times, so my vote is going to be go with the 70-200 😁

@@sarahlyndsay Good to know, I'll take that to consideration. Maybe I should get the 70-200 f4 and occasionally swap it out for the 24-120 depending on the hike and backpack carrying load.
      Many thanks 🙏

@@artsilva I was going to say… even if you don’t use it all the time, it’s such a handy lens to have!!! If you’d use it 50 percent of the time, worth the investment IMO

@@sarahlyndsay I forgot to mention I still have my AF-S Nikkor 80-200mm f2.8 D which is a 20 year old, four versions back, 4.5 pound beast of class and all metal. I use it for sports and model shoots "when" on a monopod but I would never think about taking out backpacking, which is why the newest and MUCH lighter F4 G version would suit my needs.
      You're right, it's time I upgrade that lens regardless if it's F4 or F2.8 😉
