Sarah... wowww 😮 if someone was looking for a video about Shimoda camera bag and/or some good guidelines how to take the maximum advantage of the features and organize the gear on a pratical way, you simply reach the goal sharing your personal experience here!!! Congrats and thanks a lot 🙌🏻 Be safe, always have fun!!! See ya, blue skies 🤙🏻🍀📸
Great, honest, realistic review, Sarah! As I would expect from you. I have to chuckle about the color because when I first saw the yellow showing up I immediately thought of you and your dress. 😁❤️
What I like about shimoda is that even if certain things are labeled as “women’s” as a male you can still use them since like myself have a smaller build. I wanted to get the E25 in real also cause it’s nice to have a bright color when outdoors but I went with black cause I can use it in urban and outdoors situations.
I have the Explore 30V2 and absolutely love it! I have the women’s Tech straps and they are so comfortable. After breast cancer surgery my chest is very sensitive and with my Shimoda bag I have no problems at all!
Hey There, you mention in the video that the bag has a hidden passport pocket? I own the bag and am curious where that pocket is located (it's so well hidden, I didn't even know it had one!)
I bought the Action X50 just before the V2 came out, with the women's Tech strap. I really like this bag but the one major complaint I have is the bag sits too low for my comfort. I have put the straps on the S and it still sits a little too low for me when the bag is full of my gear. I usually walk around with a Canon R6 with grip, 100-500 lens, 1.4 extender, 2 extra batteries, sometimes a set of filters, small microphone, some cables, rain jacket if it looks like it might rain and a monopod with small head. I weighed the bag full and it is about 17.5 lbs full of this gear. I am about 5' 5-3/4" with long legs and a short upper body. This short upper body is what I feel is the issue. Does the women's Action X 40 V2 fit the shorter upper body (roughly 20" from top of shoulder to top of hip bone)? Is it worth me saving up to upgrade to this women's 40L V2 bag? Will all my gear fit in it, using the DSLR Large V1 insert or would I need to upgrade to the V2 insert (I don't have a Sony long lens)? I do like how you can move those side pockets to the belt so you can put your water bottle in there. I have a hard time reaching my water bottle on the side without taking the bag off (defeats the purpose of bottle outside the bag). Thanks for your video.
Good news, just checked out their website via your link and women's straps will be available this year on all the standard YELLOW bags. Seems to depend on size as to when they are available 30ltr will be from 31st July this year it seems. Great video as always keep up the great content. Oh and a friend of mine keeps bugging me about where she can get a green jacket like yours.
Wooooo hooooo that is great news!! Happy to hear it. Thanks for watching the video and tell her that it is a North Face jacket, however, I got it on clearance so I am unsure if they still make it!
Excellent review Sarah and an important review of camera bags for female photographers. Traveling around the world is never easy and the perfect bag makes a huge difference in the success of the trip. On my recent trip to Vietnam, I planned for weeks on which bag to use. The hard part for me is what about a smaller day bag where you only carry half the things that you brought.
Hey Bill! Yes I understand this struggle.. that's why I like the roll top because it can expand when you do need the extra gear! I find the 30 or 40L bag is the perfect solution for being able to pack a lot of gear yet also small enough for a day pack!
Very cool Sarah, as always. I can't help but notice that your color coordination is spot on. Your jacket and background colors are almost a perfect match! I amsure you planning that way!! 😊😁📷
HI Sarah, Great introduction to the new Action X line! I love the idea of the removable pocket! It would be great if Shimoda made them available for purchase separately so that those of us with other Shimoda bags could use them on the belt - or you could get extra pockets for the new bags line as well.
Nice review Sarah. Love my Shimoda bag. I was able to use your discount along with a Shimoda sale and got a great price!. Do you wear a yellow bag with a yellow dress? 🙃
Great vid as always Sarah 😊 I agree that Shimoda do make some Awesome bags, I’m a big Guy and have bought All-sorts of bags through the years, but my Explore V2 30L has been truly brilliant , it’s the most comfortable bag I own , with lots of space for my gear. I’m off to Iceland next January , and reckon it will be a godsend walking around in the winter conditions. 🥶🥶🥶🤣🤣🤣🤣 Keep up with the amazing vids, you’re doing an Awesome job 😊😉😉
Great choice and yes, your bag will def give you some extra weight which will make you toasty warm walking around. Thanks for watching the video! Appreciate it :)
I’m really taking a liking to the new women’s color way. However, I am unsure of how different the chest/sternum straps and belt might fit on my (male) body. Would you think it would make a big difference using the women’s bags? Does anyone have experience with this dilemma with other bags? Thanks in advance for the help and please excuse my ignorance.
Love their bags and their customer service is tops. YES to the yellow for women’s line too!
