Everything you see i have purchased myself, this gives me complete control to voice my honest opinion about any product
Just day to day sparky videos
If you like it, that’s cool, if you don’t, that’s cool as well.
Remember, context is important, I can’t show/film every part of every test otherwise I’d still be there now😂just assume I’ve carried it out correctly

I like the way that we are required to use metal CU's but its OK to stick them in a lovely flammable cabinet!

Even as a non electrician earth leakage faults have driven me insane more than once, when you have isolated every appliance in the kitchen, unplugged everything only to find a pet has pissed on an extension lead behind a settee.

RFI filters in all the electronics take up to 1.6mA each, eg Computer + 2 display units, set top box + TV, that's 5 straight off.

Good video to see mate. Informative for someone like myself still learning 👍🏻 always good to see somone break things down while having a little laugh 👍🏻😅

Did you ramp test just the rcd with no load on it? If load still on then existing leakage could effect ramp test reading?

  • @davidpatterson1574

    Very informative video-thankyou

  • @Rossisearle

    Great.. so easy

  • @grahamek86

Probably find the immersion heater will dump a few mA into earth when heating the water. Quite common for the elements to get a bit leaky.

    Good video 👌

Isolate the board and check again. Could be diverted neutral current from another property?

  • @rattlehead85

This could be down to defective contacts inside the solar inverter letting excessive current and leakage trickle which is tipping your tolerance over the limit and causing your RCD to trip when the solar kicks in and out primarily in the morning times.

New RCBO board on its way and definitely worth taking a bag of crisps for your trouble 😊.

    Good video

  • @dmlelectrics8990

    Good video

  • @lansdorf

Went to a property were the down stairs lights worked with the neutral meter tail sisconected and all earth conductors disconected.

  • @JohnnyMotel99

    best turn phone sideways

  • @gregcressey1791

The radius bend isnt rignt surely also exposed metal glanding

  • @joejames8146

I went to a job today with 1.5amps between Line and neutral tails any ideas? split load board intermittently tripping a single RCD

  • @andrewwhite3793

Why did you ramp test the RCD with the circuits on ?

  • @stevebowley

I have the same tester. Do you ever have any issues with it.
