Noone who trains bjj is even remotely surprised by this. We all get humbled very quickly once we get on the mats with people who have training........ OSS! 🤙
That the most respectful "guy walks in to a dojo to fight a black belt" video I have ever seen. It's not hard to be nice and respectful towards people no matter what you're doing.
This reminds me of my first... six months of training! Almost five years later and still get beaten by the vein l brown and black belts! BJJ is great. Anyone should give it a try. And Robson is a monster!
Hell, we fight enough in the gym that it's time to relax while being out having a drink or a toke. I'm like dude go on somewhere I'm trying to do absolutely nothing right now...😂
Add a striking dicsapline and bjj is usual in self defense. If not, someone with basic takedown defense and basic boxing will destroy them. I'm a 3rd degree black belt in Japanese Jujitsu.
This happened to me when I was 16. Only it lasted 2 secs and my knee was destroyed. Talking to people who’ve never rolled about martial arts is like talking to a brick wall.
These videos are almost always staged! In 11 years of bjj training I've never once seen a random "big guy" just walk in off the street to "challenge" a black belt. As a bjj practitioner myself, I'm sad to say that bjj as a community (in general) is very insecure in their need 'prove' themselves by staging videos against bodybuilders/powerlifters/football players etc.... It's like short man complex but with physiques or something 😂
Because if u were actually in the community youd know whag u said is completely untrue and just because it nevee happened to u doesmt mean it hasnt hapoened
@@markmartin5364 11 years I've been training bjj. Not ONCE has a guy walked in off the street.... on his own.... to challenge the instructer/black belt which just happened to be filmed and posted on social media. Fake, staged videos mate
Clearly staged. Listen to everything the big dude says... "I'd be in big trouble if this were a fight. " "This is incredible" "How are you doing this?" "How is he doing this?" "This is amazing." "You're not even out of breath."
They are clearly rolling. The story about the big guy wanting to fight anyone for 20 bucks is odd, since he doesnt appear to want to strike at all. Seems he agreed to wrestle and got a first hand experience of what rolling with a pissed of black belt feels like. "I'd be in big trouble if this were a fight. " is him realizing how good of a decision he made when he acepted that it would be a friendly match and have no striking. That is made clear by the dude tapping within a few seconds. You can tell that the bjj guy doesnt want to let him off the hook so easily and continues to manhadle the big guy into another submission. "Bad shoulder, bad shoulder, I've got a bad shoulder" is his next line. At this point big guy knows he cant win, but is still going to be and feel surprised as to how useless he actualy is. If you dont think bjj is for real do the challenge yourself. Just dont be stupid like this guy and challenge ppl there, instead find the best rated bjj school in your area and attend classes until you start rolling.
I love how all the BJJ cult members fall for this everytime 😂 random big guy offers a fight, BJJ instructor destroys me, "look how great BJJ is everyone"...now here's the link the sign up for a monthly membership at my club...staged
Probably. It is plainly the Jiu-Jitsu Times youtube channel and their certainly not going to show a BJJ getting their ass kicked by anyone. Bruce Lee had this all figured out in the 1960's, there is no one style of martial art that dominates in MMA today. It is the blending of the best features of all of them that works in the real world.
For those of you calling this staged, I recommend looking up who the instructor is. Robson is an IBJJF hall of famer, and mult-time world champ. There's no reason for him to prove anything. I've trained with him, he's a nice, down-to-earth guy - very respectful. I guarantee the opponent walked into the gym, said something disrespectful and wouldn't leave. Otherwise this wouldn't have happened.
I'm a white belt of 2 months and I'm also very asthmatic. It took a view weeks to adapt my breathing when rolling. Its important to know what kind of positions you can hold when rolling so you can take a few seconds to breathe. It's also very important to know that you don't have to enter a match with the am very of a semi truck or carry that energy all the way through. You are able to relax yourself I specific times when rolling and you gotta learn that speed isn't everything.

He taps pretty fast for a tough guy. Despite popular belief, tatts don't make you an instant badass.
Yes - if the "big guy" was first CONDITIONED and second was a boxer or wrestler or judoka or MMA, and didn't play by the BJJ rule book the outcome would not have been so set in stone. I have seen numerous MMA kickboxers who have destroyed BJJ opponents in short order. Bruce Lee was preaching this in the 1960's, don't become a cult member to a particular style of martial art.
Robson visited the gym I went to. We had some pretty savage guys. During rolls I’d catch random peeks of him wrapping them up (was in gi) in crazy moves I’d never seen before. Was almost comical.
I think once they got started grappling that it was legit and not staged, but I also am a little skeptical of the set-up. The way he adapted his takedowns to his size was amazing though for sure.

Robson is the man! So humbled and just an overall great person. I was blessed to train with him while traveling for a few months and this guy must have hit a soft spot challenging him. Robson put it on him when normally he is so playful (probably because he can run laps around me on the mat)! This school is a great environment and great ppl. If anyone can visit in Tampa, I recommend!
Noone who trains bjj is even remotely surprised by this. We all get humbled very quickly once we get on the mats with people who have training........ OSS! 🤙
ua-cam.com/video/sG6FMTBJPJY/v-deo.html thank you!!!!!!!!!
"this guy is good-..." "nah he's a white belt..." xD LOL
You know wat, I actually appreciate how respectful and amazed big man was, you could tell he was humbled
“A man can’t breathe he can’t fight” -Terry Silver
I have my 3rd BJJ class today 😍
Good shit
Make sure you stick with it mate good luck
u need to loop through a lot of classes keep it up
Not a bad idea after your UA-cam channel died
@@uhjeff3651 was that a joke or just meant to be rude
“I have a bad shoulder” that’s fine, he’s cranking on ur elbow anyway 😂
Chill bro he is taking care of his shoulder
I have a bad shoulder and it does hurt the next day
You don't get to cry about an injury when you started the challenge.
@@wheelswanch has to suck being you
Armbars can still mess up your shoulder
If i was the big guy i'd be laughing my ass off. "Omg he's kicking my ass"
The fact that that guy didn’t have a heart attack is amazing.
Soooo... both shoulders are his “bad shoulder”?
This is a true teacher. Much respect to the teacher and I hope the big guy is humbled
You're not even breathing hard. Hahahahahaha
Reminds me of when I first started.
Kinda reminds me of last weekend too. Derp.
That was hilarious. "How you do that?" I'm glad he was amazed. Lessons learned.
Robson is like “Uh, no why would I be breathing hard? I do this literally every day.” Lol
Give him a break. He got a bad shoulder. He could've wipe the floor with Robson Moura if it wasn't the bad shoulder.🤣
😅😅😅
“You’re not even breathing hard!” After rolling for 1 minute 😂
That the most respectful "guy walks in to a dojo to fight a black belt" video I have ever seen. It's not hard to be nice and respectful towards people no matter what you're doing.
Lmaoooo "bad shoulder" *snatches his neck*😂😂😂
Super freaking cool how he told him that if he loses he has to become a student, It DRASTICALLY elevates the mood of the situation!
🔥AWESOME🔥
"I have a bad shoulder"... *switches to a KNEE BAR * LOL
“How is he doing this”😂😂😂 don’t walk into the Lion’s Den and poke the lion...
Or in his case, *DO* walk into the Lion's Den and poke the lion.... then sign up for classes! Win-Win!
This reminds me of my first... six months of training! Almost five years later and still get beaten by the vein l brown and black belts! BJJ is great. Anyone should give it a try. And Robson is a monster!
Jiu Jitsu is an essential life skill, we train NOT to fight.
But may God have mercy on someone's soul if it actually does lead to a scrap!
Hell, we fight enough in the gym that it's time to relax while being out having a drink or a toke. I'm like dude go on somewhere I'm trying to do absolutely nothing right now...😂
Rolling around on your back with another man between your legs is an essential life skill?
Herman Ingram just ask your mother
Herman Ingram just try it, you’ll see.
Add a striking dicsapline and bjj is usual in self defense. If not, someone with basic takedown defense and basic boxing will destroy them. I'm a 3rd degree black belt in Japanese Jujitsu.
That big ball guy needed an ambulance before he got his ass kicked 🥋
Jujitsu is the religion of Peace💎🤙
I love the way you phrased that
@@Tribe_of_Trees what about kozen judo? Can you name it?

"The tattoos, they do nothing!!"
He would've done better had the oxygen tank been available😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
These are some of my favorite type of videos. People don’t seem to understand how absolutely helpless you are against someone who trains for this.
This happened to me when I was 16. Only it lasted 2 secs and my knee was destroyed. Talking to people who’ve never rolled about martial arts is like talking to a brick wall.
Robson was so cool about it. I know many of us that train might of lost our cool. Props to Robson. He's a very patient, classy&grounded human being.
He actually seemed like a sweetheart underneath the bravado. I’m sure he feels embarrassed looking back on this now.
Hello. Can I share this video in my social media for advertising the sport BJJ? I would give credit to you.
Explain in depth x gaurd 5 submissions and sweeps then
Because if u were actually in the community youd know whag u said is completely untrue and just because it nevee happened to u doesmt mean it hasnt hapoened
a lot of BJJ and MMA gyms do kind of have dickheads like that who will try to always get a leg up on you to fill the ego
@@markmartin5364 11 years I've been training bjj. Not ONCE has a guy walked in off the street.... on his own.... to challenge the instructer/black belt which just happened to be filmed and posted on social media.
Fake, staged videos mate
Yeah this is pretty cringey. Plus if you watch the big guys movements he’s definitely been training for a bit. This is very clearly a marketing stunt.
Robson Moura....legend!
Very CLASSY. He could have deboned him like a fish but took the high road. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lmfao what else did you want him to do to the poor guy?
I'm a blue belt in bjj and ppl assume size doesn't matter when clearly it does if that guy was same level belt he would have destoryed that guy
Great challenge...I hope that guy paid you enough respect to at least join the gym and earn some of this knowledge...
what challenge? LOL
Did the guy sign up for classes? Anyone know? Would be cool if he’s a blue belt now.
Staged commercial but still cool to see cuz big dude clearly exerted himself.
Step in a bjj school you’ll find out
how do you know it's staged? is this story unbelievable to you? this is classic florida man behavior loll
"Alright alright... I see where that's going."
We all felt that.
Clearly staged. Listen to everything the big dude says...
"I'd be in big trouble if this were a fight. "
"This is incredible"
"How are you doing this?"
"How is he doing this?"
"This is amazing."
"You're not even out of breath."
Just dont be stupid like this guy and challenge ppl there, instead find the best rated bjj school in your area and attend classes until you start rolling.
can't believe ive never seen this. Big guy would make a great training partner, has a good attitude.
in BJJ, most unassuming person will break you, literally.
"Random out of shape fat guy vs trained Jiu Jitsu athlete" is more accurate.
Guessing you'll be posting up your non-staged video soon, the one where you walked into the BJJ gym and destroy the instructor. Can't wait.
No he’s just smart and doesn’t wanna get himself hurt he obviously doesn’t have a huge ego
Nobody thinks that anymore, you fucking dork
@@Austinn54 If he were smart he wouldn't have challenged a Black belt.
Remember in ace Ventura when he climbs in the shower crying cause he feels violated.
This guy.
That's so AWESOME! Another timeless example of effective technique claiming victory.
Congratulations for winning within your own rule set. I have nothing against BJJ but things might be different if striking was allowed.
One thing I love of BJJ is they are never afraid to pressure test or of challenges. Bravo!! He will be their next new student.
2:33 made me LOL.
"I used to be a BJJ master like you... then I took an arrow to my shoulder"
Ha ha...
🤣🤣 He picked the wrong little dude. Robson is the man. Love it!!!
That footwork at 2:18! Guard passing 101
Ah, the mirror-like wisdom that a street fighter gains after 3 minutes of BJJ. Love it.
"How are you doing this!?". Love it. Dude got his mind blown.
OSS MASTER ROBSON!!! I’m proud to be an RMNU student baby!! Shoutout from top team in NH
I can’t explain how much enjoyment I get from watching that!!!
It looked friendly enough. The big guy is out of shape and probably doesn't realize the amount of energy it takes to do JiuJitsu vs trying to "fight."
Robson visited the gym I went to. We had some pretty savage guys. During rolls I’d catch random peeks of him wrapping them up (was in gi) in crazy moves I’d never seen before. Was almost comical.
The guy doesn't need BJJ classes, he needs Slim Fast and major cardio work!
I assume he became a student lol.
lol... "Nah, he's just a white belt."
The big guy's a good person. Get respect when giving it. Much respect.
This was basically my first month of training. Probably my first several months, but definitely my first month.
Conditioning is important!
"...you're not even outta breath" homies not even warmed up lmao
“How are you doing this” 0:56 😂😂😂
I was afraid the big guy would have a heart atack
I think once they got started grappling that it was legit and not staged, but I also am a little skeptical of the set-up. The way he adapted his takedowns to his size was amazing though for sure.
Love this!!! The dojo I trained at (years ago) was next to a restaurant/bar and I always looked forward to the guy that had one too many and stumbled in tell us he was there to show us how to fight … man I miss those days.
The guy gased out in less than 1 minute, first roll and appeared in JEANS lmao
That gas tank or lack of one lol is pretty much any “tough guy” on his first day of JiuJitsu. That was me for the first 3 months. “I can’t breathe”
This one is great, but my all-time favorite was the no-holds barred fight between bodybuilder Lance Alexander and 3rd degree (at the time) black belt Pedro Sauer.
Dude would’ve been better off fighting a whopper with fries 🍟
Not surprised...if you have 0 ground fighting skills, you are completely helpless against someone who does.
Big dude wheezing like a pug that just ran 10 feet.
