By the way if you love Italy you have to go to Lake Como. It's my favorite area in Italy. All the beatiful gardens and villas around the lake are breathtaking.

There is absolutely nothing worse than standing up from a plastic chair wearing a short denim skirt, the chair rises with you and slowly the vacuum releases with the chair making a resounding clunk clang on the floor. I have been there so many times and what a surprise, I’ve packed 3 denim skirts for our month in Spain in 3 weeks and 6 days. If you’re into crime books, the Inspector Montalbano series of books are set in Sicily, the Insoector is a character and his desk officer is hysterical. Every time I read them, the descriptions of the food alone make me drool but the actual crime in them is decent plots too. There’s actually a series on TV quite a while back but it is in Italian with subtitles. If you’re loving that architecture there, have you been to Venice, it’s magical.

Jacks coffee is granita! It’s like a Sicilian slush there are lots of flavours! For an actual iced coffee you probably need to ask for an americano freddo or literally americano with ice ☺️

I have been to Sicily 4 times! I love it: Taormina, Cefalu, Palermo, Ragusa and Ortegia. I Recommend San Vito Lo Capo in the west of Sicily the best beach and the sea is stunning next time have some time there it’s a dream. 🙋♀️🇬🇧
