I had the same experiences when I flew to San Fran from Australia. It was my second time in the USA, it was a trip for my birthday and I got detained for an hour and a half in that little customs room 😅

I remember our flight to New York was midday, and we got into JFK around 4pm, yet the flying time was about 7 hours. Talk about weird. Love Nars make-up. Definitely want to try the new lippy's 💄.

Im a Canadian whos town borders the US, we cross to the US probably twice a month, and its always total luck of the draw if it'll be smooth and the person will be lovely or if you will get the 5th degree. Obviously, they are just doing their job but my goodness is it anxiety-inducing

I've had a duvet each since I moved in with my then boyfriend, now fiance, 4 yesrs ago. I'd done a week and said I was going to have to go back to my Mums if I didn't get a good night sleep 🤣 Next day he got me a duvet. Best decision ever!
Love this vlog, you and Jack are an awesome couple always bantering and enjoying life, the pizza looked delicious was it worth getting temporary detained for lol, I remember when my then husband came to the UK for the first time from Nigeria, the border control asked him why he was coming into the UK (we were married so he was joining me here) my ex husband answered "none of your business" lol, he then texted me irrate he was getting asked these questions, I said just answer them as he has the power to send you back, short time later he walks through the arrivals door lol

for a long time I wondered whether to buy this new lipstick with nars. I was wondering why such a high price is. I bought it and regret it. The point is not that the lipstick is bad, but that the price includes the cost of influencer trips. The company shoots itself in the knee.
Oh please. Nars lipsticks are cheaper than MAC, Dior, YSL lipsticks. ‘Influencer trips’ are a drop in the ocean.
Plenty of influencer trips happen that you don’t know about. Reckon Lush add £££ onto their £5 bath bombs because they invited 10 influences to a weekend away in the Lake District?!? No.

No it doesn't influncer trips are a way company's pay for advertising. Most brands have influencer trips including some drugstore it works out cheaper than paying for ads

I just spent over 100 dollars on NARS, I wish makeup companies would take their normal customers, or have events that include the "common folk", Cuz i am starting to not respect these brands and unfollowing "influencers" who go on these "sponsored trips".
But do you have a large following that promotes them? No.
I kind of agree, they must spend an extortionate amount on these events/travel and hotels costs, which ultimately, the customer pays for. Very little of the event or the lipstick was shown in the video so I'm not sure what the brand gets out of it.. 🤔
"Normal customers" can't provide the brand with advertising in exchange, which is what this is. Being mad at these brands because of it is like being mad that NARS only put billboards in major cities rather than putting a wee sign outside your house.
@@lucyc3696 I think these trips and events are more of a thank you for what you’ve done than an actual opportunity for advertising. Jamies posts a lot about NARS and uses the products a hell of a lot
