Dont need a friend like curtis when you are like him. Quit paying people to do stuff and pick up some tools....then you can make things happen.

A flat washer over the bolt head is necessary with rubber plugs. I use them for pressure testing pools. It keeps the bolt head from pulling through the rubber. It also helps with equal compression of the plug. A fender style washer works best.
For the non-seat holes, you can do to Walmart and get the foam gold balls, I have a Tamarac 110 and they work great!
I used boiler plugs on a large hot water tank.. same thing as here. Great video.
Dang cleanest install of gear tracks I've seen. Very well done. I wished Curtis lived closer to Miami. I could have him install my gear tracks better than what I did last week. Total noob work. Lol

Great idea! Always use stainless steel nuts,bolts and washers to prevent rust and decay.

A bead of GE 100% pure silicone between accessory rails etc and the kayak will keep the connections watertight

I just ordered a t track and ram mount rod holder. getting there. be safe
HOLE MARKING TIP: Put the tape on the track bottom... Mark the holes on the tape then set the tape on the Yak... Bam! Perfect hole placement.
USE STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS FOR EVERYTHING ON YOUR YAK!
Q: Did those large screw heads interfere with the track mounts?
Wat screws are you using i want to do a few mods and cant access the back inside also does the tracks come with scews or bolts

William Penton it’s as good as it’ll get without investing in a whole new seat setup! I’m satisfied
William Penton honestly man the comfort is lacking lol but an easy cushion or seat backing upgrade would do the trick. Since Curtis helped me with this I’ve just let it be, as is. Hoping to move on to a pedal drive soon!

Bad idea! You're elevating the seat which will make that kayak easier to roll... I learned that the hard way with a much bigger kayak. Cost me over $1000 in lost gear and ruined electronics.

How do you put the bolts on underneath the kayak on the mounts? I have this exact kayak
Use rubber stops with a thick nut, and bolt on the end to secure the rubber stop in the scupper hole.
Not as technical. Got me some 30# 1” Velcro and straps attached to where your rails are. Works. Not as fancy.

Nest time make sure you are using drying silicone and NOT SILICONE LUBRICANT as Lub is not suppose to dry. Red the Complete label to verify what kinf od silicone you are actually using.

For EVERYTHING. Paddle holder , accessory options are abundant with a Scotty rail or gear rail in general

trapangler Yes to educate you they are called scupper holes. They allow water in and out.. they can also be modified, plugged, or used however the hell u want ... like as a fitting for a custom seat like this one. This process is called creativity and ingenuity applied to practical objects. In this case, a kayak that we wanted to make more suitable for bass fishing and comfort..
