I too bought this watch exactly a year ago. This has some updates, the details on the side of the case are new, the crown is now wider and the clasp has changed. It's now more chunky. I agree with you about the second hand, it's useless as it can't easily be seen. I also agree with the chap in the comments about the lume. It looks good but doesn't last. I really liked the watch but even with my 7 3/4 inch wrist it was too big. I have bigger watches but this is all dial and I just didn't bond with it so I sold it. I should of gone with the 40mm but I'm a fan of a day/date. That's working shifts for you, you never know what day of the week it is. P.s I think the green strap suits it better. Cheers 👍
Just needs a white tip to the second hand and it would transform the watch for sure I'm 50 50 on the green strap I bet it would look good on a leather strap Peter
Had the 44mm day date newer version. Applied indices a hair thinner 1 mm smaller and upgraded clasp. I had the Grey dial on cloth strap. I immediately put it on a black hirsch mariner and it looked perfect. I'll probably but it on bracelet again and rebuy the hirach mariner. Absolutely perfect combo i.m.o
I really like the fit and finish of this piece, mine runs about +5 seconds a day which I think is remarkable. I also like the fact that the day can be adjusted with a half turn to be a black panel and just leave the date visible. Really a comfortable piece, the strap and the hardware are so comfortable and suitable for the watch. Really a great piece.
I had that exact watch. It was a very good watch. If I had to Nick it . It would be for the strap, not all that comfortable as it was just so stiff. Also the lume didn’t retain its brightness.
@@ClickSpringReview Sadly I sold it back in April of this year. I am currently eyeing an IWC pilot as its replacement in the rotation. As for the strap I am sure over time it would break in and be amazing. I just didn’t invest the time. I did enjoy the watch over all.
I owned the previous version of the 44 PP, but with the blue dial. I loved it and really liked the bracelet...but alas, since it was all dial I found it just too big and sold it. Yours is a bit more toolish in my opinion and it looks great on that strap, but I think I might like it more on that bracelet. I ended up buying the updated blue PP with applied indices and a new pcl bracelet. I hate pcls, but the bracelet is a thing of beauty. It fully articulates, tapers, and is just incredibly comfortable. Oris without a doubt makes the best bracelets at that price point, but all anyone talks about is the Aquis bracelet. I love the Aquis bracelet, but the PP bracelet deserves more credit (I'd argue the PP bracelet is the most comfortable bracelet at 1.5k or below). Oops, getting off topic. Anyway, great review. Thanks
Nice, but too large for my tastes. I do like their bronze and skeleton pro pilot way more, as well. But I tell you one pilot watch that is underrated… The OrientStar RK-AU0203B. That’s one that is VERY tempting for me, even though I already have a black dial Pilots watch that I wear almost daily (Sinn 556i on H link)
I’m a bit of a Sinn fan I’ve more Sinn videos than any other review in the UK with over 120 , it’s worth have a look on my channels homepage there you we’ll find my Sinn playlist, ps I’ve a 556 myself great watch 👍🏻
I have seen so many reviews but no one talks about what glass oris used for the exhibition case back. The new version 44mm says front sapphire crystal on the back that makes me think is it just a mineral glass on the back of all the propilot models then that would be a shame
I like this older version more than the updated version w applied indices. I find the applied indice only works well with certain watches and not these minimalist pilot watches. It makes it too much going on and doesnt fit the look. I like the painted numerals better in this case. Also the 45mm is a better size either go large or do it 41mm. The new 44mm sizing makes it look sort of wishy washy. The beveled edges and softened caseback design i dont like either. The older more squared off caseback and non bevel edges is more classic. Dont worry, to those who think im hatin on the newer version because i only own the old version, nope. I actually own the newer version. And wish i had the older version shown in this video.
@ClickSpringReview trust me, your older model is so much aesthetically better than the newer one. Kind of the same case with other watches as well: I prefer the older WAR model tag Carreras calibre5 to their newer WBN carrera models due to the lugs and sides being more classically shaped, and also tudor, I prefer the slab side compared to the newer more thinner case side on the heritage models
@ClickSpringReviews it is a full kit. After I bought it I searched around and the lowest price anywhere on the internet was 1200 usd like you said. Honestly, I think it was just right place, right time, right seller.

Sounds good Jeff I do like this Oris , think it looks like a lot of watch for the money 👍🏻
Wow, didn’t know they had a newer version with applied indices… have to check that out

I didn't no about the black panel Wayne, thanks for the info

I'm pretty sure there are some rubber straps for this one which would help with the comfort side of things Seth

Ive not tired the bracelet model yet sounds like I need to 👍🏻

I bought this 2nd hand for a true bargain and i can read it, without my glasses Oris make some cracking unique stuff
Well done chap you cant beat a bargain 👍🏻
I like this watch but can’t get past the ghosted second hand. Seconds hands should be fully and easily visible on tool watches imo
I completely see where your going from even just a white tip to it would be better

Many brands use mineral glass on the case back as there is very little chance of scratching it Betto

Yeah its a shame I didn't have it for the review, it would of been interesting to of compared the two models side by side Bryan

Oris has this for 2,300 usd currently. Was it cheaper before?
Francis & Gaye over here in the UK have it for 2K USD on their website
@ClickSpringReviews I just picked mine up almost brand new on secondary market for $800 usd, so I'm happy!
@@guybuddy I would of said 1200 for used one, so thats a good price was it a full set box and papers ?

Wow you did do well as you say right place right time 👍🏻
