I remember doing this all the time when I was younger when diving for Kina and Paua. I lived by the ocean and I had a leather jacket friend who would hangout and follow me around lol. My friend would guide me to where Kina and paua were, he’d swim ahead, stop and look back and wait for me then move on and once I’d reach where he had taken me he’d go all silly and excited as he must’ve known I was gonna crack some Kina for him lol. Gosh that is one of my fondest memories.

Fish are actually really fast learners. They come to understand things quickly when its food related, there have been a lot of people who have scuba dived an area repeatedly and the same fish will recognize them

That unchecked population ends up standing in the roadway at a blind curve at 3am and now innocent motorists are dead or injured because they hit a herd of deer at 55mph. Tell me you know nothing about animal husbandry or ecology without telling me you don't know anything.....

I think this is a good example of what happens to fish that get stuck in abandoned nets and garbage. Fortunately here it was just someone collecting urchins but the fish getting stuck like here does happen and usually there isn’t someone there to free them.
