Another Dock and Dine attempt - Tarpon Point/Gather

- It’s our final destination before heading home after our weekend getaway on our Regal XO. After leaving SW Florida’s Picnic Island, we attempt to head to a waterfront restaurant in Fort Myers called Deep Lagoon. A small craft advisory, heavy winds and mechanical issues keep us from reaching our destination, so we decide to head to a local waterfront dock and dine restaurant in Cape Coral.
Tarpon Point Marina at the Westin Resort and marina village have loads of shops, waterfront restaurants and bars to enjoy, all accessible from their free courtesy dock. We choose to eat at Gather, a recently opened restaurant along the main promenade overlooking the marina and we were not disappointed!
To our surprise, we have an impact on the docking of the Sanibel Princess and Crayola’s employee party.
Join us as we travel the waters in and around the Gulf of Mexico and South Florida.
Always enjoy your adventures regardless of what happens. Keep up the good work!
Weigh the stick into the man. I love it.
Loving the more frequent video posts. We enjoy seeing your adventures on the water! Hoping you'll include more content from where you visit off the water too on while on your adventures.
Thank you! So much more to come and big news!
That's a great video! Thanks for sharing,
A very windy adventure! Good choice to turn back you two trouble makers 🙂. Happy Mother’s Day Admiral B 💐
Thank you!
I LOVE the new intro! You guys are doing a great job with your page! I enjoy it!
Thanks! It’s a little dated so I’m thinking of updating it soon.
Thanks for taking us on the adventure with you. Awesome video.
Another place I didn't know we could dock and dine. Thanks!
Our pleasure!
Gather is a great restaurant with amazing food! Cape Coral resident here with a new 26 XO. Love your videos, so keep them coming! Now I know where I can take my boat as you’ve “paved the way.” Hope to see you out on the water.
We may have seen you. What color hull does yours have? I’ve seen a Navy Blue one in our travels.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs It’s an all white hull with navy blue stripe and blue accent vent. I’ve only had the boat for a few weeks, so it’s only been out a few times. But I’m looking forward to getting the family out on it as much as possible this summer.
Happy Anniversary and plenty more 🥂🥂🥂🍾🍾🍾🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸💐💐
Two of our absolute favorite outings we have ever done in the area were to Tarpon Point. Once for New Years Eve when we stayed over on the boat and partied in the new year and once to see my favorite band in the world, the Rippingtons, outdoors on the water when we decided to stay in a suite there for the weekend. This was all pre-Ian. We are moving to PORT-32 in Cape Coral on June 1 so maybe we can get together for lunch somewhere after that! I'd still love to meet you guys some time! Be well!
We just had our regal bottom painted at Port 32. I also charter a boat out of there on occasion and know it well.
We may have yet try new years at tarpon point once they rebuild. Would be fun.
Looks like a nice place. Hope you to enjoyed yourselves. 👍
Enjoy your content. We're in Venice, FL and getting into boating. I'd like to see what comes after the fun trips. What's your cleaning routine, maintenance, etc. Keep up the good work!
👏 👏 👏 Un saludo desde España pareja !!!!!
Hopefully they get the marina back in action soon. Last time I was there a few weeks ago, I noticed all the floating docks that you passed had been delivered. I'll have to check out Gather, too.
They had all the new pilings delivered too. Should be seeing lots of changes soon.
Your anniversary dinner looked delicious
It was amazing
good video as usual good to see people having fun alk in michigan
My original Bennett Trim Tab switch lasted approx 15 years. The replacement switch is maybe one year. So with that being said I am on my third set. Yamaha now owns Bennett so hopefully quality will improve.
That's too funny
Good Morning
I sure as heck didn't go out this past weekend! I've learned to be much more picky in choosing when I will go out in this area. You'll learn, lol!

We boat strategically when the wind blows. Get in a Lee of an island and you are good. It’s just the ride out that can be troublesome.
@AdventuresofHappyOurs boating out of Safe Harbor Marina @ Burnt Store on Charlotte Harbor makes me have to be that much more careful with windy conditions since the Harbor can get VERY rough and uncomfortable. The river, although, it can be rocky, isn't nearly as difficult as the Harbor is. All of our worst outings ever have been in that Harbor. Winds on the river have gotten us wet before but we're never a disaster like the harbor has been. Can't wait to move to Port 32 on June 1st, that's for sure! Sudden high winds and summer rains on the way home on the river is navigable, sudden high winds and summer rains on the Harbor can be a disaster! Be safe and well out there!
@swflboatingchannel yes we can always get out of the wind driven waves somewhere around here.
Live on the water in Cape Coral been there done that!😁
Still? Where you at?
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs over by Santa Barbara and veterans on San Carlos canal we don't have a cruiser we have a go fast boat so we can get to the bar faster 🤣🤣
Hey guys, we've been to Deep Lagoon many times. By car. Lol
Great place!
Would you consider doing a video to Safe Harbor Cape Harbour Marina. I thought going through the lock would be interesting and that Rumrunners restaurant would be good to see too.
Funny you say that we are sitting at Tumrunners now for their Mothers Day brunch. We’ve. Been here so many times I thought we covered it. Will make a video on it soon!
Get a busy day when the tide's running, it will be like a Cape Coral version of the Haulover Inlet videos.
I think they make microphones to dampen that wind noise..🤷
Oops!
Do you have hull shield on the regal also ? G
How is it ?
I don’t have hull shield on the Regal. It will be a good comparison with the two boats as one has the hull shield and one doesn’t and they have very similar paint at the same dock. More on that in future episodes.
Do you have your US MERCHANT MARINE USCG master license for OUPV..basically are you a licensed captain. Stay safe.
Yes I have my Master 100ton near coastal with tow endorsement.
They couldn't contact the restaurant to see if they find the owner of the boat? ( you guys). Nacho fault
No harm done. They apologized for moving our boat. Certainly an apology wasn’t necessary!
Good to see Matey in today's episode
It's a shame I wanted to watch your video but could not due to excessive wind buffeting.
Tried our best
The wind noise just wasn’t that bad. I usually watch your videos with my eyes and I never see wind noise. Heard every word of your commentary. Some folks just never get enough wine with their cheese. Thanks for the good scenery.
Some people just cant help but troll. Great video, even with some wind noise! @@AdventuresofHappyOurs
Try going to Deep Lagoon in a car
Oh we went. And that another story. Lol
Lolol you know its going to be hard to leave the trim tab thing alone,
but I'm trying my best lol 🥯
