Souq Waqif কাতারের ১০০ বছর পুরনো এবং ঐতিহ্যবাহী একটি বাজার।
আমার মতে, কাতারে আসলে Souq Waqif Market এ যদি না আসেন তবে আপনার কাতার tour ই বৃথা। কারণ এখানে না আসলে কাতারের মূল এবং ancient culture এর কোনো স্বাদ আপনি পাবেন না।
Traditional খাবার, পোশাক, মশলা, souvenir, jewelry, ঘর সাজানো showpiece কি নেই এই বাজারে!!
Souq Waqif is by far the most popular place to hang out with friends, particularly in the evening.
It is worth visiting a place where you can spend an easy couple of hours exploring Arabian culture and tradition.
Souq Waqif is not an original Souq, it’s made to look old, but within the tight ally ways, you’d honestly feel the traders had been running their businesses for hundreds of years. The sights and smells are very authentic. No one hassles you to buy anything and it feels very safe to wander through.
Once out of the ally ways there are wide street walks with restaurants and traders.
Camels, horses, ponies, falcons, canaries, parrots, turtles, rabbits, fabrics, clothes, spices, tea, aromatic smokers, thousands of restaurants and cafes, endless streams of tourists - really a super place, you can spend a whole day here!
