This time we take a look at what appears to be Ava Kris Tyson from the MrBeast group and the controversy she’s involved herself in that's taken our platform by storm. Today we deep dive into this creators strange relationship to one of the most controversial figures on the Internet and how they've become one of the greatest hypocrites I've ever been in contact with on this journey of mine. Inappropriate behavior, especially towards minors, is utterly inexcusable. Everyone, regardless of their popularity or influence, should be held accountable for their actions.
I wrote a letter and it was a fantasy one based on sexual fantasy and when I was told it was inappropriate - time to apologise. None of the fantasies described were put into any action. This was shortly after my transition from teenagehood to full adulthood was complete.
I don't like the vaugeness that has been enforced nowadays "inappropriate behavior" is anything from failling to turn off the dirty jokes in a work environment where a minor had recently joined, and raping people, those are not the same and they should not be treated the same.

@matts375 that's not necessarily fair. I was once a minor in gaming based communities and met a lot of cool, non nefarious people in their 20s, who acted as big brothers and sisters to me. Adults interacting appropriately with minors because of a shared interest is not inherently evil.

But at the same time: Color me surprised, UA-camrs/Streamers earn a ton of money from children through ads alone, who'd have guessed that they start using the same humor as their chat does at some point - especially with the hentai jokes you can't tell me that a grown up would start that banter - haven't heard those kinds of jokes since like 2 years after middle school (aside of some people occasionally that you'd consider developmental delayed). Then again, I'm also not from the US, so who knows maybe the "you need to be 21 for pretty much everything" comes down to an actual lack of maturity.

People's eyes glaze over when they hear the word trans, maybe they are afraid to be honest about their suspicions, but we have to treat people equally, that includes for their crimes.

I had a drawing facebook page in 2015-2016 and because of the art style it mostly attracted teenagers, I received a few messages back then, they were typically about life choices, like what studies to do and what not.
I don't think there is anything wrong talking to teens, they were lost just like I was back when I was their age, so it feels good to help them.
It depends the content of the conversation, I only had 350 followers, so I didn't attract crazy followers, I imagine it was the opposite for Kris because he is/was a staff member of the Mr Beast channel, and yeah, he shouldn't have taken advantage of it, and like you said, block them.
Unless you have a past of grooming minors, idk why you would block all of them, regardless of the topic.

From someone who was a victim, both physically and with online grooming: Claiming you are not a victim doesn't mean you aren't one. It took me years to come to terms with it and realize that I was.

LavaGS (the minor in question regarding the Ava Tyson drama) used to be an admin in the MrBeast Gaming server. I was in the winners chat at the time and one day (years ago) LavaGS was banned out of nowhere. The other mods and admins wouldn't let us winners talk about it nor would they give any explanation to why he was removed. I guess we know why now.

By US federal law, its illegal to depict a real minor in pornographic material. It does not matter if its fake or not. So the dude who made that content about Keem's daughter could face actual prison time, and deserves it.

It's unfortunately the thought process of a lot of people, both young and old. It's how I thought when I was a teenager, same as everyone around me. I eventually learned why that was wrong, but many people never do.

When I was 16 and used Omegle to talk with others, I’ve had adults who knew I was 16 speak with me inappropriately (I won’t go into details, but it was absolutely sexual). Which looking back on it now, obviously I know what they did was wrong. No adult should be speaking to a minor like that. They should have known better, and I know not to do that myself as an adult now.
But I don’t feel like a victim. Why? Because I wanted to be spoken to inappropriately. I wanted those conversations to happen. It didn’t matter if it was from an adult or someone my age at the time, I just wanted to talk about dirty things. I don’t hate or regret those conversations, but obviously I know they shouldn’t have happened to begin with.
So I PERSONALLY don’t feel groomed, but I won’t deny that I technically was. I understand that not everyone looks back on their inappropriate conversations fondly, but I really do believe that people have the right to not feel like a victim. Though I do understand that the rest of the world (and rightfully so) still would consider people like me to be a victim of grooming.

Well the problem is also that LGBTQ+ ppl are more often accused of saying or doing horrible things than others. There are obviously horrible people from every group, but often the horrible actions of a specific member of a minority group are greatly inflated to spread hate toward others in said group. Having worked as a website/forum admin for over a decade, messaging minors never crossed my mind.
Being an admin it was my responsibilty to address site/forum security, mediate user conflicts and answering questions.
We had a PM feature available for users to message us with any issue or questions they may have had.
Unfortunately I had to perma ban adult users who had been using the baked-in chat feature to send inappropriate messages to the minors who used the website.
He thought the chat feature was private but the admins could page into any open chat window to monitor or moderate them.
We also had a chat logging tool that ran at all times.
I took a few screen shots and made copies of his chat log for evidence.
He knew he was cooked as soon as I showed him his own chat log.
For cases like this we would send copies of the chat logs associated with the user along with a complaint to their ISP to get them ISP banned and to their local lawenforcement agencies.
COPPA or Children/Child Online Privacy Protection Act requires these steps to be taken when illicit or illegal activity involving minors occurrs on sites/forums open to them.
COPPA violations can land you in a lot of hot water as site/forum opperator.
Thank you for taking the appropriate actions to keep minors safe and hold predators like that accountable! It’s terrifying how many people use positions of power maliciously.
