is there any way you could upload some sort of plan... like the route you took and the places you visited and how long for?and put a link in the description? and any good airbnbs/hostels you would recommend? I'm struggling so much with organising my trip and your trip sounds exactly how i want mine to be!
My boyfriend and I are looking at doing the whole Euro Trip and actually starting a UA-cam channel about it before we graduate next year. Loads of helpful advices, thank you!
It's a shame it was raining in Rotterdam. I'm from a town near and it's actually beautiful. Maybe worth visiting again, make a boat trip, go up north and see small independent shops, go west and see some parts of the old harbour and typical Dutch streets, explore and see the beautiful architecture which is very different from the rest of the Netherlands :)
Binged watched all your Interrailing vlogs! Your personality kept me going & you just generally made the Interrailing experience look so enjoyable. Hoping to do it also in late August with my boyfriend - I canny wait!! Haha x
So sad that I've finished these vlogs! I've loved watching them and it's got me so excited for my own interrailing adventure!! Looks like you had an amazing time! X
I'm going interrailing in the summer and I can't wait, your video has helped me a lot in planning it! Just a quick question about the hostels, were the mixed rooms okay like you didn't feel like you needed to be in a private room or an all girls dorm I just haven't been before so I could use your advise because they are a lot cheaper so it's a great way to save some money!☺️X
I was slightly worried about that before hand too but it was actually completely fine. The toilets and showers are obviously separate so every time you get changed or anything, you're with all girls. I hope you have an amazing time - I wish I could go again every summer! xx
Was debating Interrailing this summer, after watching your videos it's got me so excited and it's something I'm defiantly going to do, doing it alone aswell! can't wait!
you are so pretty! Me and my boyfriend are hoping to travel Europe this summer and this video helped a lot! so glad i found your channel, love your videos! x
How did you organise and decide what places to visit and how long to stay?? planing to go with my boyfriend for next year for about a month but finding it very difficult to plan the routes. I'am not too much into museums art galleries & architecture. I'am more into natural landscapes, walks (hikes), scenery.
I have a rough idea of the route I plan to take (might be doing Interrail in a year or two) now that Eurostar is included in the pass (€30 reservation) as of January 2017, with a 5 or 7 day pass I would try Manchester - London (walk from Euston to St Pancras) - Brussels - Rotterdam - Amsterdam - Dusseldorf - Cologne - Frankfurt (been to the city centre once on a 4 hour layover, the skyscrapers are amazing) - Berlin - Prague - Vienna - Innsbruck/Munich - Zurich - Basel - Bern - Geneva - Lyon - Paris - London - Sheffield (if I'm too lazy to walk to Euston) - Manchester [I'm the sort of person who just takes pictures of nice architecture and cityscapes, as well as riding trains for fun and eating good food - not really much else lol] how many days do you think I would need for this? Would I be able to book accommodation on the day (so being spontaneous would be easier)? How much would I expect to spend in total (not including the pass itself)?
I really enjoyed this video! Very helpfull :) Im going interrailing this summer with some friends and I'm really looking forward to it. However, the only thing which concerns me is wether to bring a backpack or a suitcase...You've mentioned it in your video, but I'm not convinced yet.
I am planning to interrail this year. I'm going on my own. I was planning to book airbnb places, however they are a hassle as I have to depend on the host. Do you think hostels are safe when you are on your own? I am worried that if I share my room with 8/16 other people, I would not feel safe in leaving my items in the place.
Wow. 45 days of Interrail. Great! My ticket was the 30 days global pass and I've been in 17 countries (5 of them were kingdoms, which was pretty cool) and 28 Cities. I had 71 travel connections (54 of them were trains). I loved it and would definitely do it again.
+Harriet Murray Well, hard to say. There is more than one city. Prague of course, Budapest, Belgrade, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Innsbruck, because of the amazing Mountain view, especially when the sun rises, Lausanne, London, Kopenhagen. They are all so different to each other, but wonderful as well. One thing I loved a lot, while interrailing, was handling the different currencies.
I loved this video! Just one question, I'm going on a eurotrip this summer and I wanted to know how much it costed for you for food etc. (Everything exclusive acommodation and trainticket). And I do notknow if you went to Brussels but it's really lovely there! Greetz
Hey, I know it's been a while since your video, but just wondered how much you'd recommend planning the trip (i.e. trains, accommodation) before leaving or doing so (as you did) more 'on the go', as I'll be travelling during July/August so worried this may be a too busy a time to do it spontaneously? Thanks :)
Can someone use interrail for a long time, e.g. a year. If someone was travelling to Italy from London, then staying in London for a few months would it be best just to get the interrail for the initial journey then book trains via normal routes when in Italy. Also if I left Italy and wanted to travel EU, it seems there are a select number of days you can be somewhere with it, so I couldn't stay 2 weeks in a place with a interrail card as there are specific dates you have to travel within, is that correct?
know anything interesting to do in Amsterdam, Berlin and Frankfurt? also, since I live in Manchester, would the pass be valid on any train on my first day so I can get to Harwich International for a ferry to Rotterdam?
Amsterdam and Berlin have so so much to do, I used trip advisor a lot to decide what to do each day so you should check that out. Also, the interrail ticket doesn't cover you in your own country. So I had to fly to Paris before I could start using my ticket. xx
Harriet Murray I've read on their website that Interrail Global covers two journeys within my own country (one outbound and the other inbound) in order to get to/from an airport, ferry port or international border [using as many trains as needed to/from my local station as long as it's all on the same day] xxx
I'm also going to Interrail this june and I was wondering about your long waiting times and you couldn't catch a single train that day. I'm only going to make reservations for trains which require reservations. Did you only have trouble with the trains where reservations were compulsory? Or did you also have trouble taking trains where reservations weren't required?
Yep, usually the seat reservation is between like €5 and €20. I didn't actually get any night trains but you do have to pay, however I do think it's cheaper than a night in a hostel! People try and save money that way :) xx
You have to indeed walk pretty far when you want to go to the old center of Antwerp, but the old center is beautiful and there are many beautiful houses, buildings and little streets. Rotterdam sucks in my opinion, maybe because I don't like modern architecture. When you go to the Netherlands, I recommend going to Utrecht, it is similar to Amsterdam because of its canals, but there are not as many tourists as in Amsterdam
Hej Loved your video! just wanna ask how do I reserve a seat/bed for the train? and how much does it cost? Planning to interrail this summer2016! Thank you so much!
+Darry Shane Ong You can go to the station to reserve your seat or I think you can do it through the interrail app too! The most I paid for a reservation was about €20 I think. Most of them were like €5 though! x
Hi! I absolutely love your interrailing vlogs! I´ve watched all of them during the weekend. I´m 18 years old and I´ve been thinking for quite some time now that I would love to experience the same adventure as you! I was thinking about going in April. My mum and dad however aren´t too excited about that I would be going on my own, what do you think? Did you feel unsafe at any point of your trip or in a specific city? Love your vlogs! xx
+Lotta Ronnblad Thank You! I mean, I had done my Taiwan trip by myself too so I think my parents were kind of ok with me going alone. There was only one occasion when I was slightly worried when this man wouldn't leave me alone but honestly, other than that, you're always around so many people - there's so many travellers in the hostels and stuff so you're never REALLY alone. It's less about safety and more about your enjoyment of it really. I like to just do what I want to do and not have to worry about changing my trip for someone else (how selfish of me?! haha) I would 100% recommend it though, it was the best summer of my life x
Love the video - I'm planning to interrail for a couple of months during my gap year! Were you travelling on your own or were you with friends, as I will be alone and was wondering what its like?
Hi! Thanks for posting this video, it's helped a lot! Did you feel safe whilst in the hostels and on the trains? Also did you take any night trains whilst on your trip? Thanks in advance! :)
+Alicia Hutchinson Yeah completely safe, there's so many people around all the time I never felt in any trouble :) And no I didn't take any night trains, I would have but I didn't reserve any. (I guess sort of did when one was stuck on the tracks for about hours and we didn't arrive until the next morning- but that wasn't intentional!)
It was funded by a family whose daughter had sadly passed away. She was on my uni course a few years before me and they set up a fund that every year someone could travel as she loved travelling! Such an incredible thing! xx
Did you go on your own? As I'm planning to go on my own next year as I've finished my degree 2 weeks ago and feel next summer will be my last chance (this summer I'm doing an internship!) How did you find being a female travelling on your own? So helpful!
Heyyyaaaa, yeah I did go alone! And only had one occasion where I was slightly worried when this man wouldn't leave me alone in a laundarette, but other than that, there's people around all the time and lots of people similar to you staying in the hostels. I didn't get any night time trains so that may be something to consider but yeah, 99% of the time I felt very safe :) x
Harriet Murray I am going with a friend who doesn't have much money and I'm just worried about when she runs out! So I think I'd be okay going on my own if she does have to go home! x

"the rain came in" Welcome to the Netherlands
probably better than Manchester though :P
My boyfriend and I are looking at doing the whole Euro Trip and actually starting a UA-cam channel about it before we graduate next year. Loads of helpful advices, thank you!
Oh amazing! Make sure you send me a link when you make it!!! I wanna watch! x

Thank you Harriet for your fantastic advice. I'm a slightly nervous traveller and your video has really helped.
I'm pleased!
Heyyy congratulations for your experience!! I believe everyone should have this kind of trip!!
Me too, I think I'll remember it forever x

So sad that I've finished these vlogs! I've loved watching them and it's got me so excited for my own interrailing adventure!! Looks like you had an amazing time! X
Thanks for the video, really enjoyed it! We had very similar experiences on our interrailing trips

I don't think I'm interrailing again but I'm going to Spain and France in June :D xx
This video is the perfect vlog - thank you, you're great and this video really helped!!

+Psychonaut And Bristol was nice too
How many cities do you think I'd cover with 5 within 15 days? (main focus for me is Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Berlin, Zurich and Vienna)
I loved this video! Just one question, I'm going on a eurotrip this summer and I wanted to know how much it costed for you for food etc. (Everything exclusive acommodation and trainticket). And I do notknow if you went to Brussels but it's really lovely there! Greetz

Hi great video! I was wondering did you book your flight back home months before your trip or actually when you where on your trip?, thanks :)!
Yeah, I booked my return flight the day before I got it!! x
Great Video! Do you know if the train-seat- reservations cost extra? And how is it with the night trains? Thanks :)
Yep, usually the seat reservation is between like €5 and €20. I didn't actually get any night trains but you do have to pay, however I do think it's cheaper than a night in a hostel! People try and save money that way :) xx

I'm planning to interrail but I feel that it's not good idea to travel alone, I need someone to go with, it would be funnier, what do u think??
I really enjoyed being alone and wouldn't do it any differently if I were to go again but it's completely dependant on you as a person :)
hey! im going to do a interrail in summer. can you please tell me where can l make the reservations? thankssss!
Hej
Loved your video! just wanna ask how do I reserve a seat/bed for the train? and how much does it cost? Planning to interrail this summer2016! Thank you so much!

I had £3000 :) x
that's 10x more than the budget I would have hahahaha
You should come to Michigan,USA,beautiful state.👍🏿
I have friend from Michigan, it is on my list of places to visit! (The Mitten!)
Is it true that you cannot use the interrail ticket to take a train to travel out of your own country?
+Yufan Tang Yeah that's true! I flew to Paris to start x
great video I really enjoyed it. question tho, how much was the continuous 30 days ticket. or where can i find out? thank you :)
You can find out heree >>>> www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/global-pass
Thank you Harriet. I learned a lot from your video!

Love the video - I'm planning to interrail for a couple of months during my gap year! Were you travelling on your own or were you with friends, as I will be alone and was wondering what its like?
+Serena Fern I was on my own and i absolutely loved it, I love meeting strangers and doing my own thing :) x
Hi, nice video. I was just wondering how you financed your trip?
I was funded through an award I won at uni! :)
Hi! Thanks for posting this video, it's helped a lot! Did you feel safe whilst in the hostels and on the trains? Also did you take any night trains whilst on your trip? Thanks in advance! :)

Could someone please tell me how expensive her trip was?
I had a £3,500 budget x
Which are the best cities to visit for like 4-5 weeks?
My favourites were Prague, Amsterdam, Bruge, and Rome :)
a shame you didn't liked Antwerp.. full of historic buildings?
i was wondering what you meant by the family that funded your trip?? This was a really helpful video thank you!! :)) xx
It was funded by a family whose daughter had sadly passed away. She was on my uni course a few years before me and they set up a fund that every year someone could travel as she loved travelling! Such an incredible thing! xx
Harriet Murray wow that’s amazing! and incredibly generous!!
Hiii! What month did you travel?
Frommmm July through August I think! x
Did you go on your own or with other people?

how much did an average hostel cost?
+Hannah Esther No more than £20 a night
were you alone ?
Yep! x
Harriet Murray wow you have balls o.O I also considered going alone but I think It's not the same thing
I really loved being alone! You can just do whatever you like whenever you like! x
You're right ... but still , I like to have someone around to whom I can share those moments/experiences. It's like a big rewarding gift :)
super helpful! thank you!
No problemo! x
Did you go alone?? X
Yep! x
Harriet Murray I am going with a friend who doesn't have much money and I'm just worried about when she runs out! So I think I'd be okay going on my own if she does have to go home! x
