👋 Background info on myself: I am a prior Marine infantryman currently serving in the Army. I've been through specialized Close Quarter Battle training, security guard training, subterranean warfare course, urban surveillance training, foreign weapons training, helicopter insert/extract master, as well as numerous training with other militaries and their equipment.

Yeah, despite it's small size, Luxembourg needs a top tier police force because they got a lot of big name places. (also they're not exactly poor)

If it helps, Chile has two police forces. One is a only civilian one (Policía de Investigaciones) and the other one is military (Carabineros de Chile). They have different training, but both undergo police training as well to enforce laws. Carabineros was born WAAAAAY before PDI, and its original purpose was to keep law and order inside the country in times of war (which, luckily, we haven't had one in almost 150 years).

The laser is the L3 Harris LA 23 NGAL. It was made for SOCOM and is currently replacing the LA 5B and LA 5C UHP laser which is the high powered and ultra high powered variant of the Peq 15.

USP is just unité spéciale police which is special police unit (SPU) but in french so its the same
You should really react to the romanian ROaf(romanian airforce) or the marine corps(I am not sure if we have marine corps)

It would be nice if Luxembourg, a NATO-member and country with the highest GDP per person IN THE WORLD would honour their 2% GDP defence spending because for years this has been by far the very lowest in NATO at 0,51% GDP which is honestly a scandal. Heck they could easily double in size and quality and quantity of equipment and personnel. Apart from that nice little SF police unit Luxembourg, now crank up that budget svp!
The problem for such a small country and small army due to their low population, their is a limit on how much the can spend on individual equipments, now if they were to spend on heavy equipments they will be spending a lot in comparison to their gdp, it is hard to be in between for such country
So first of all, I need to correct something. Luxemburg is spending 0,81% of their GDP in 2024 for their military. Our military only has like 1000 men and we have still a defense budget of 700 Million € per year. It is pretty hard to spend all of that money cause if you compare to other countries, we spend nearly 1 million € per year per soldate. We bought some planes and in the following years the whole vehicule fleat will be replaced by new modern armorytrucks.
