Great video!! Really well filmed and superbly edited. Such an informative video for anyone new to towing a caravan and looking into training. I think we're going to be hooked on your content!!!
Well done - I we bought our first caravan last year in January and I did a day and a half course first. Having never towed anything before in my life, the first time I towed the caravan (2017 Bailey Unicorn Valencia) was the 84 mile journey back from the dealer (Webbs in Salisbury - fantastic people) to our home in Oxfordshire. Since then we've been out with the caravan a few times and had a few hiccups but nothing major, but that's part of it - you never stop learning do you. Safe travels. Steve
Hey Steve. Can’t fault you for doing the half day course. It certainly my gave me so much more confidence. You certainly never stop learning. Thanks for your message.
I take it your milk before hot water? I like my tea strong and milky. Ha. Although what you saw In that video was a Hollywood cuppa. Made purely for the video 🤣🤣
I’ve only just started watching your video, but had to stop and comment…. We too ordered a new van in 2021, collected it early 2022. But also, we’re neighbours… good to see The Hedgerows feature on UA-cam! Good work! Looking forward to following the channel.
The quality of your videos is fantastic. I’ve enjoyed watching them and look forward to seeing more. Did you enter the Caravan Writers’ Guild’s John Wickersham Video Award? It’s too late for this year now, but look out for details next year. You don’t have to be a member to enter.
Thank you very much John. Not sure if you saw my response from your first comment. My next one is almost ready so you won’t have long to wait. Ha. I didn’t and I didn’t really know about it. I did actually send the Sam Alper video to the writers guild who did email me back with some great feedback and Info. I didn’t realise you could enter videos I assumed it was just what had been seen on UA-cam. I shall look out for that. Thankyou.
Great vid Rob. Found you by accident and am loving the content and production. We did our towing course over 30+ years ago. Came back to caravanning in 2020 due to lack of holidays and COVID restrictions. Loving it again and was surprised how I took to towing again. I can’t park it on the pitch for love or money but my wife is a dab hand at it, who says women can’t drive! (Plus motor mover a bonus). Keep up the great work and look forward to your future vlogs.
Thankyou for leaving a comment Phillip. And Thankyou for the compliment. So glad you re found your love for Caravanning. And let’s face it as long as the caravan is facing in the right direction and level it doesn’t matter how it got there ha ha. Thanks for the support. Rob

Refreshing approach to vlogs...enjoyed it..towing course is a great idea. I did and made some new friends too. We're meeting up with them for a third time in a couple of weeks. We're relative newbies to...love it.
Great Video, another endorsement for Waleswood, we're only from Doncaster and its nice to have such a good site on our Door step. Looking forward to the next. Cheers Ian
Great video Rob and look forward to the next one. Walewood near Rother Valley is a great site and on your doorstep. We live in Dronfield and have been a couple of times even though on our doorstep.👍👍
Thanks Jonathan. We have actually been to waleswood in other peoples caravans and absolutely love the site. I look forward to taking the caravan for sure!
Smart lad and lassy.. insurance companies should insist every new caravan owner do a course in towing , it makes the road safer for everyone else...just a couple of pieces of granddad advice..1 always keep the tow hitch in the car... nothing worse than driving a hulf hour to the storage yard and find you've left the thing back at the house...2 make allowance for the caravans length when pulling out into traffic...3 look along way further ahead than normal to begin slowing down before a corner or intersection and allow the unit to slow down it's self before braking , it makes for a more relaxed trip...well after a couple of excursions in the UK, its off to the Rivera then yes!!.🤣❤️🇬🇧
Absolutely fantastic Rob. It's on our list to share to newbies. BTW, Fantastic to catch up with you both at Longnor Wood. You both take care and hopefully we'll have a beer again in the future m8. Love to you both Ally & Alan 😍😍
