I've got the arrows lined up. How do you turn it so that it locks back into place? I have watched and followed every aspect of this video. Do you have to have man hands to do this?
i bought one of these weedeaters & could not get the bump head fixed back untill i saw this video & it helped me out big time thanks for makein this video man 😎👍 it was a time saver
I only had my Hart weed eater for a 1yr. This year, it was time to change the string after doing some yard work ... I’ve always managed to take the bump off just fine before... even though it took all my strength to turn it off lock, and ... now I can't even get it to twist back into lock. It wont budge. It seems to be a common problem with this product.
Thank you that worked perfect. I'm not used to running these newer ones. My neighbor came over and he couldn't figure out how to do it so we looked on the internet and yours was right and to the point and we got it strung in there. Thank you I really appreciate it
I was ready to throw this into the trash until I saw your video! Great info. I too had problems like the other person where I couldn't get the one item to turn so I used a screwdriver to go around the inner lip and cleaned it out and then it worked.
@HARTTools Are you company with ryobi? My weedeater had the same exact assembly, except mine is green. ua-cam.com/users/shortsJsh_4XSoOcw?si=2fPNWrjtPgMosclb
I just bought a 40 volt Hart weed eater and only used it once with the string that came inside the string housing and I can't open the string housing up even after alignment of the arrow no matter how hard you twist the cap that housing the string. SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE. The locking and unlocked cap just want budge at all. Is there some kind of trick to opening this thing?
My trimmer just suddenly stopped working …. It starts and dies within seconds … i have to slap or hit where the motor area before it can act like it starting and then dies again … help !!!!
Thank goodness for this video. The paper instructions were not helpful at all, and I wound up in tears because I have small hands and couldn't lock it back in place. I might have to hire someone for 5 minutes just to change this out in time.
The trick is to make sure you're rotating the ring that has the lock and arrow symbols. I spent forever trying to rotate the whole head to align the arrows and it wouldn't budge. I finally figured out that it's the other part that slides and once I changed my grip to rotate that part, it worked just fine. Took me way too long to figure that out though!
Nope! Ya made it hard for me because I figured out what the blue attachment with the little handle is what you use to crank instead of your hand!! Of course, I figured it out after the fact!!
I got suckered from Ollie's too! Just bought that bump head only to find out no spool. Who packages and sells a product missing a key part making it totally unuseful?
I can not seem to twist the thing to unlock. You make it look easy but I feel like the jaws of life are not strong enough to move the thing to unlock. Not sure what is wrong.
I can't find a replacement for mine. I have the Grey cap bump head. For the 40v brushless. The bump feed cap and the ring that holds it in are broke, and I can't find any replacements.
@@HARTTools Hello, I want to buy Hart's 3-IN-1 BUMP HEAD WITH STRING for the Weed trimmer. That item is not in stock in any Walmart or on-line Walmart. Ok but mine does not turn at all!
Fuck y’all for making this the most difficult tool I’ve ever used in my life.

SO Helpful! I’ve been loading the string on the spool and then inserting the spool (which is a pain in the ass to get it right).
THANKS!!!
So glad we were able to help!
Exactly what I was trying to do. The right way is actually not very obvious, video was very helpful.
This helped so much! Thank you

@brendanash4082 try bumping it to see if it needs to be broke loose. if not, make sure it's a twist head cause I guess some are not

Can these trimmer heads be used as a universal fit for gas trimmers?
Hi there, our 3-in-1 Bump Feed Heads will fit most string trimmers!
I can't find a replacement for mine. I have the Grey cap bump head. For the 40v brushless. The bump feed cap and the ring that holds it in are broke, and I can't find any replacements.
We recommend contacting our customer service team for replacements at 1-800-776-5191 between 9am-6pm EST.
I don't have that one. I have the other one where you have to buy the spool.
Yes, our auto feed trimmers!
Thank you!!!!
Happy to help! 😊
You shouldn’t bump it on concrete.
Lol like the loop game
How long should the line be ??
The cutting length will be as long as the swath and will cut automatically when feeding line after bumping the head.
@@HARTTools How much line is needed when refilling the spool ??
Had mine just long enough to do 5 small yards then it self destructed the motor, is that supposed to happen?
