In 1982 and 1983 Buddy Landel looked fantastic. He was muscular, but not huge. He had speed and timing. He could wrestle. He had charisma. He could sell. He could work. Ten years later he looked weak physically and was basically a dime store version of Flair. He could have been great if not for his personal demons.

I agree, people shouldn't be so quick to judge. They were over as hell in the south, where tag teams were still appreciated.
