Thanks for doing this test. Apparently, other youtubers think that reviewing a phone means reading specs off a sheet.
Looks like a55 is the most efficient with good thermals.
S24 has a smaller battery
@@acea5913 and a more efficient chip and a screen that can idle at lower frequency.
@@DocMchief Lol the exynos in the s24 is terrible
@@Ignacio.Romero yes, my reply was to the comment above that s24 has smaller battery hence the comparison is not valid.
@@DocMchief And I'm telling you the Exynos in the A55 is more efficient than the one in the S24
Today i checked my sisters new A55. She has it for few days , this sunday screen on time was 10 h and 40 min. And that drained 74% battery so she is left with 26% with all that ussage . But she was playing music on YT for around 5 hours plus some tiktok and whatsapp . This is amazing result compared to my s22 ultra with exynos. Her phone whould last 3 times longer than mine with the same ussage . I cant believe this
Yeah Samsung finally nailed it with the 1480. I can't believe it either. Took them long enough.
Thats because they collabed with amd
replace your battery, it would last much longer, i have A73, the 85% used to be enough all day, now i gotta charge it to 100%, s22 and a73 were released the same year
My A53 5G dies within 36h after a full charge. It's stored in my lunch box, I don't use it besides having to show the IEMI to security when I leave work. This phone is trash at battery management.
I also notice some apps like Facebook are ten times more power hungry than UA-cam. Playing video on facebook kills the battery.
@@BananaBlooD9517 the A53 wasn't a good phone.
Tests like these are probably considered bad marketing, which is why most youtubers end up doing 10+ minute videos showing/telling nothing exact about a product, only basics and features. But this is what we all need, keep doing what you're doing, this is GREAT.
It was a very good comparison, but if you used Exynos s24 Plus, it would be better for comparison because s24plus has the same battery size as the other two phones.
actually🤓☝️, the s24 plus has a 4900 mAh and the A series phones have a bigger 5000 mAh battery
It also has a far brighter, higher resolution screen, you can't just compare on battery size
@@parshakamarsh but I think you can choose lower resolution in the settings
Do you know if it limited to full HD?@@AugustasKunc

This is by far the best battery drain test of Smartphones i have seen on youtube. Please keep on testing in 5G!
Thanks mate, really appreciate it. I bought a fourth sim card just to keep testing on 5G 😊
The best phone reviewer i've come across. Detailed reviews giving the important information to the user. 5G drain and Wi-Fi drain BOTH. All these popular tech channels just list the specs which we can do ourselves.

Samsung's Mid-Range phones are better than Flagship phones. lol

1st actual review of the a55
Really good comparison thanks 😊
Bro, can u tell me which part from which sec is these phone connect to 5g?
My issue with A55 and A35 is their size.
I want a good screen and a small size for the phone with a UI I like using. I like the A55, but its made for people whose main media device is a phone lol. For me a phone is just an addon.
But if you do intensive tasks like video, gaming, and meetings, you pay twice as much for an Exynos S24 with a far worse user experience. I would easily recommend the A55 over the S24 as the former has 95% of the features, is under half the price, has significantly better battery life, and does not heat up.
@@andyH_England as an S23 and S24 owner - no. Wrong on both accounts.
@@CharcharoExplorer well this real life video does suggest much what I said so I don't see how you can deny. Whether you're willing to put out with that is down to you, but I will recommend that non-casual users avoid Samsung made chips until they can prove that they are not mid-range and the worst of all flagship chips.
@andyH_England The A55 can't be handled by a Normal person due to its size. Batteries on s24 and S23 both last an entire day of use for me.
The screen and audio are superior. The only real downside is battery life versus the A55, and remember that the S23 loses that too (in my experience the S23 and S24 are the same battery wise)
Yuup, I held A55 in store and noped out immediately. It's so huge. And I'm a big guy with big hands. I'm not sure how smaller people are using phones like this. I do gaming on my PC and consoles. I do movie watching on my 4K TV. I'm a grown adult with my home. I don't need to carry a friggin TV in my pocket. It's a shame that there are so few options for good small phones.
You should have included your S24 QSD in the test for all the Exynos haters 😉.
Something important that could have been emphasized more clearly is that the power consumption of the S24 is lower in UA-cam and higher in Meet. Most likely because Meet is doing a lot more processing of the image. Gotta use that 2x performance of the Exynos 2400 for something 😅.
To make the battery life and heat comparison a bit more fair you could put the S24 into light performance mode which makes it about 10% slower (still crushing any mid range SoC ^^).
Compare with the s24 plus
Thanks for the content.
I would like to see more of the real life usage and less benchmarks, pls.
A much needed comparison for me, thanks mate 👍
When s24 gets hot drains battery like crazy
Thank for this video❤
a real test thank you ❤
Please make some s23 videos with s24 as oneui6.1 update is just about to roll out
Does anyone know how much tempeture A55 can hold at max? Or just a regural phone
i dont know why when u use s series for video call it got more heat
im on s23 and its got more than 40C when i doing videocall for 30mins
Thank you Mo , I've heard that A55 photos looks a lot like S24 (exynos) specially on day light photography. make a camera comparison video if you can
Which is very good becouse s24 took great photos and if you can get that for 1/3 of the price
Hi, Mo. Do you think that is hardware problem or just lack of optimisation on Exynos 2400?
I think the modem is bad, and I feel it's a hardware issue rather than software.
Modem sucks bro.. it can't be fixed!
@@alexandrgr So, Samsung put the worse modem on the S series while they put better modem on the A series, right? What a new joke from Samsung
@yanuaryudhakharisma It's not like that bruh. A series doesn't have better modems ofc. Like dude they already differ a lot in processor terms.
Nice test, thanks
I am planning to buy snapdragon varient of s24 to use in india. Will i get any issues like samsung wallet/network issues like volte and 5g reception or any update cycles or any others which you aware of..
please i was not able to get this answer in whole internet, all the answers which i got are not cosidtent. please help me here.
Right now in Europe I didn't encounter any issues, I don't know about India.
I'm running an s24 snapdragon and I have 0 complaints, it's a very good phone, I returned my s23fe because it became as hot as the sun doing menial tasks and ridiculously hot gaming. The difference is day and night. With most stuff I'm using around 8% battery per hour. Just browsing like 6-7% and hour. Gaming not heavy around 10-12% heavy games 15%-20% an hour.
mohsen jan good job bro❤
I have my a55 for a month now and the battery really is holding up. I play some light, online racing game for 5 hours and it doesn't really heat up and the battery only lost 30% from 100. I stay on Tiktok and UA-cam all day it last me 8 to 9 hour. Netflix for 3 to 4 hours took around 35%. Camera for 7 hours picnic photos and videos would be 50%. Light use while working from 7.30 to 15.00 leave me 45% from 100.
So far i'm quite satiesfied with this phone.
so on average you have 8 to 9 hourse of screen time and that would from 100% to what percentage?
@Kit32991 for me it still have around 30 to 35 percent
You should have used s24 plus here coz it matches the form factor of other two, small battery small vapor chamber gives more heat
It might not be a fair conparison beacause the s24 is a smaller phone with a smaller battery. Instead of the s24 you should use the s24 plus for this battery drain test
I agree
But then the price difference will become even more unfair lol.
Well we are testing same company phones s24plus with 2400 will beat these twoo
Can you please do a full detailed review of A35 and A55 and compare them to their predecessors if possible?
Coming soon
Which app are u using to show that battery and power consumption

Finally a good profile picture😅

Hello sir, I am from India What is the price of Samsung Galaxy S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Valet at your place and can you get it couriered in India?
Thank you for your great work!
Only 1 issue, mixing in performance benchmarks in battery tests will produce inapropriate results, because higher performing device will end up producing "more work" e.g. more frames per second etc., with higher power draw. Which doesn't mean the device is less efficient, in the end.
Thanks for the feedback, I agree. In middle of the 3DMark test I realized it's a bad idea but it was a bit late.
@@techmo2020 It was interesting to see, and valid nevertheless. Just has to be taken into consideration, that in real-use, S24 would have performed close to twice as much work for the battery life lost during the benchmark tests.
What on screen app do you use?
I wrote it myself, it's not published
Can you please compare s21 fe exynos vs SD 888 vs s23fe exynos VS SD 8G1
would the the slight differnce with a55 and 135 justify the 100e price difference? for normal use no gaming
I would say yet, but depends on how much that 100 means to you.
My only gripe with this test is maxing out brightness that's not realistic should atleast be just before the warning you get for going too bright.
The A phones have a 28% larger battery than the S24; should've compared the A models with the S24 Plus, which has almost the same battery size as the A models, the result would've been much closer for the S24 Plus. And the S24 Plus might even have better temps being a larger phone with more inner space for heat dissipation.
6:39 Sad that Huawei never got the chance to put their SFS to mainstream. Literally mogs the UFS 3.1 and that's just Huawei's first gen.
So finally it's proven that exynos in s24 is trash. Finally money saved.
Exactly, it's better that I stay with s22 for one more year. Let's see what s25 brings
There is a 1000 mAh difference between these devices, and the TDP value of the middle segment processors is low.
@@principleofmeaninglessness Still, the heat on the Exynos, although it was more performant, was unacceptable. Either the chip is trash or poorly optimised for high-performing work like gaming. For casual use, just doing basic tasks it is fine, but those that want a phone that performs well in every situation should avoid the Exynos 2400 S24, as for its price it is compromised, and when the Summer comes this will be even more significant. Its failure to run benchmarks and when it did the extreme temps meaning the test was abandoned are deal-breakers and Samsung Knights trying to defend this are not helping.
I didnt expect the exynos s24 to be that heating. And i'mporting the s24 snapdragon cost $200 more because i have to import. I'm really leaning towards iphone 15 for battery and camera 😫
What's the worst part is, how can they deliver an inferior chipset at the same price as they are offering it in the USA region . I will suggest everyone to simply ignore and boycott samsung phones, just because they must understand that the customer must be valued. It's clear in the eyes of everyone that samsung is selling a rip off to the countries where the government isn't taking any serious actions against them. I don't think anyone must prefer Samsung just because of the flagship or photography experience. People either must switch to oneplus as they are improving by listening to customers well, or trust me at least apple phones will offer a better price to performance in this price.
Good job.
Well the S24 SoC has 2x - 5x better benchmark performance, that's worlds apart and not even a fair comparison. Looking at 4:05 which is very interesting, you notice that it's even better optimized (lowest power consumption of all) but on the other hand has highest power for other tasks. As they're all performing the same task it seems S24 SoC fires its high power core(s) up unnecessarily early. So Samsung could definitely do some optimization per software update for better battery life.
To check this at least in parts, you could do the same test but with S24 in energy saving mode (would still outperform the others by far performance wise).
I see that for the ordinary usage, one shouldn't waste their money on the flagship S24
No one would want that battery time

Ok i will stick with my s23 with snapdragon gen 2 😁
The more powerful the processor, the more it heats up. 2400 heats up more because it is more powerful. 1480 heats up less than 1380 because it is slightly stronger. I think this is the problem.
i find it very peculiar in google meetings s24 heats up like that. Perhaps it will get fixed... In a year...
Exynos is terrible across the board. I have an A34 which I keep on protect battery so it stops charging at 85% and I can get on average 7 and a half hours SOT. I also put it to charge with about 18% left.
Because your phone knows your usage. While these are factory reset
Why wouldn't Samsung want to make it all the same ? Have the Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in all their flagship models regardless of the country or region the phones are being sold, i'm sure that will help to push up sales of their handsets globally. Qualcomm Snapdragon chip's good performance is well known throughout the world as these chips are used by many smartphone manufacturers. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that the Exynos chip's performance pales in comparison to the Snapdragon's chips but at least until they have managed to resolve the battery life and heating issues, they should use Snapdragon chips in their handsets.
The S24 looks just sexy 😍
The s24 has a smaller battery, and also higher screen brightness and so on, but its more expensive so it has to be better than them.

Exynos is and will be trash compared to snapdragon and apple chipsets. I have an S22+ which is a good phone and it does it's job very well so I'm gonna use it for at least 3 more years but the battery life is very poor. Now this doesn't impact me as much because I am always near a power source and with 50% in 30 minutes it is not a problem but for a flagship phone this should not be an issue just because Samsung wants to save money.
My mother has a S23+ with a snapdragon and the battery lasts a lot longer so this might be the last time I buy a Samsung flagship if they don't get their chipsets right as time and time again it has been proven that snapdragon is just better.
