The "we are looking up to you" part in 11:17 forced a tear. The truth is, no matter what there are still people who love and cherish you. In fact, you mean the world to them and you can't let them down.
Omg ladies- I’m tearing down. Matilda- I’m so sorry for the pain you have endured. Not having a motherly love is an issue in the African community. I never had a motherly love and never grew up with my dad but I had a grandma who cherished me and motivated me with God’s word. That’s what kept me going and now as a mother, I want my kids to tell me everything and I’m so close to them because I never had that love. I’m so thankful to you both for sharing your stories. Kay, I pray you find the right man and I know it won’t be long you’ll find the amazing man
This is so sad. This behaviour of mothers in Ghana needs to be discussed and addressed. I pray these women receive healing and find true love and peace for the rest of their lives.

Her mom was an abusive mom, periodt! Let’s say things as they are, very likely she was a narcissistic mother.
