After enjoying this splendid account of Ben Franklin's more than deserved place in American History, it was a rude shock to encounter the outpouring of pure distain and hatred toward everything American gushed, ad nauseum, by some person with less than accurate knowledge of recent events of which he obviously disapproved. However, he, himself, did disprove one point very well: We Americans do recognize propaganda when we see it!

Hamilton was also anti-slavery. When the government was set up the House of Representatives were based on each states population, the southern states counted their male slaves as 3/5 a citizen, ensuring more Congressmen for their states, even though the slaves weren't afforded any human rights. How convenient...
Slavery is still relevant as a pattern of disenfranchising black folks: voting rights, housing discrimination, poor education, and over incarceration rates are very much their reality today.

Even Lincoln though not a founding father but a pillar of American past great leadership. I think you are little confused on what the Right actually thinks, which is a comman problem. Ive been summoned by God who said he is handing the nations over to me - Isaiah 55 "NIV." Leadership by all means - but you have to cut the weeds down too. Just like a garden - you go playing nanny games with the weeds yr good plants will be choked while you waste yr time getting behind. Executions on the spot is called for. Its many nations joined under a Single King- from God as Judge Jury and Executioner in one package. This is bible meaning "he will strike the nations with the sword of his tongue - he wil rule them with an iron scepter" {meaning rifle - as I have been told by God}. Vision God and Jesus blog Trut33 early posts. Yes he was an extraordinary man - and like many - God made them and directed through the path of hard graft. Saying? A Good Ruler can only be as good as the quality of his people!" That is why there are two End time / Last Days Rulers = Kings {no pomp!} but only after Gods Day of Wrath / Cleanup will Jesus be able to Rule and be the loving merciful good Ruler - because every trace of rot will be uprooted . wiped out. But he is ineffective for the people of this world. He is obviously the son in the parable of the vine yard owner - the Rulers God sends in the end know to execute the rodents on the spot - until the novalty wears of / delusions like religions set in and 'is this the good man or the bad man / a Hitler / Stalin ....baah they say.' I believe Satan is the parable of the prodical son - both Jesus and Satan are Gods Sons and God / they - know Good and Evil and you must master good over evil.

No one will ever stand above Washington. This man single handedly kept the army together and his strategic vision won the war. Washington was being shot at and cannnonaded along with his troops. He slept in tents much of the time out in the elements and had to deal with disease, starvation, mutiny and backstabbing from his own officers. God Bless Franklin. He is the greatest ambassador in American history but he was bathed in luxury in France with opulent lodges, plenty of food, plenty of women and a warm bed to sleep in every night.

The founding fathers were amazing. Thry put in place the framework for freedom, free enterprise prosperity, and the eventual abolition of slavery. The British eventually decided to abolish slavery and forced tte reluctant Ottoman Turks to reduce slavery. The last thing Franklin did was to petition for abolition of Slavery. The declaration of independence in 1776 was a great milestone for establishing a great nation

Philadelphia, 1787. The delegates to the Constitutional Convention are just leaving Independence Hall, having decided on the general structure for the new United States. A crowd had gathered on the steps of Independence Hall, eager to hear the news. A sturdy old woman (sometimes referred to as “an anxious lady”), wearing a shawl, approached Benjamin Franklin and asked him, “well, Doctor, what do we have, a republic or a monarchy?” Franklin replied sagely, “a republic, if you can keep it.”
