The Immaculate Packed 100 year old Abandoned Grandpa’s Time Capsule House w/ Cars Left Forgotten

  • This beautiful old cape cod style house was built in the early 1900’s around 1935-1939 just before the onset of World War II. The house was built for a newly married couple and the husband would go off and serve in the navy and come back to raise a small family in this house. Over the years the kids moved away from the rural isolated area of the house and the couple grew old and passed away in the home in the early 1990’s. Sadly since then the house has sat vacant and derelict, slowly being overgrown by nature, covered away to be forgotten forever back into the earth. Really neat old house, glad I could document this unique old place. Thanks for watching. Like and leave a comment below for me if you enjoyed. Thank you.

My father passed in December. He left a house and 5 barns to deal with.
Thank God my older brother wants a lot of it or we would have a challenge and a half getting all of that resolved.
May you have many joy filled days ahead of you, I apologize if my comment seemed at all morose or insensitive.

I did when I turned 55 because I knew it would burden my kids someday. It is time to transfer your wealth to kids and grandkids too. Let them get to have things we took for granted in their lives since things are so bad now.

When we retired and moved to Florida, we got rid of all unnecessary stuff. Sold most of our furniture and belongings. Bought new furniture, decorated in coastal florida style, trying to keep everything organized and uncluttered. Don’t want to spend the rest of my life collecting stuff. Now we spend more time gardening, swimming, biking and enjoying the outdoors instead of shopping and accumulating more material things.

It was a beautiful home at one time and sad that the kids did not want anything but it's a fact of time. I'm watching my neighbor who was in her 80's who passed away a few months ago her kids are selling what furniture they can and throwing away things at the curb, spending more time mowing and painting the house than the did when she was alive and needed their help and their company.. she would have been so thrilled to see her kids come over every weekend to see her and do the work that needed done. I am guessing they are prepping the house to sell and move on with their life's. Anna In Ohio

Kappy! This home is wall to wall loaded with remnants of someone’s past and treasures. That coffee pot though…sitting there like it’s waiting for someone to come downstairs and fill up a cup. This one is so sad to me. It’s probably nothing but I just get a sad feeling from it. Almost like the owners were older and then had to go to a home and had to leave everything behind. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. You’re the best Kappy. You have such a big heart. We appreciate you. 😊

I get the same feeling. The wife died first and left the husband who refused to let go of any of her belongings. When he finally did leave, he was very old. I am not saying this is true or what happened. This is what I am feeling and sensing. Usually, I don't say much, but when you said what you did about the owners and the sadness, I wanted to tell you how right you are.

Such a shame to see this beautiful house and property being left to rot. All of the vehicles could have been salvaged and sold. Now they are being left to rust and deteriorate. The house is still salvageable. I want so badly to clean, declutter and organize this house. It’s still full of beautiful furniture, household items, toys, collectibles and antiques. I wish we knew the backstory of why this once beautiful and well maintained home has fallen into abandonment and neglect. Would love to see it brought back to life.

Kappy is the only guy I enjoy visiting abandoned homes with. I check out other channels now and again but get turned off when forced to see their face going on and on as if they are the star of the production, when they are only narrators, or guides. I appreciate Kappy's ability to appreciate and also acknowledge the sad state of depreciation. That is not to say I do not enjoy many channels featuring folks working hard to do their part, until they stray too far from home and fall for their own "celebrity status". So, thank you Kappy, for being you and still guarding your own right to privacy and to walking invisibly. I believe even ghosts would respect you. Vandals and thieves should otherwise worry about what may trail along behind them.

This house is gorgeous. It is a family home, like they are going to walk back in at any moment.
My dad's house is in the process of being cleaned out right now. He left us in December. It is bizzare and uncomfortable seeing his living room bare and empty. It is who I am and where I am from.
I hope other relatives can afford to buy it and keep it in the family, but I personally will never set foot in it again once it is not my fathers house. Hard to explain.

I grew up in a house that was built in the 1940's, so this brought back a lot of memories. This one was bigger and a bit more refined and elaborate, but ours had similar features. The shape of the ceiling on the second floor was just like that only there were no built-in features -- just little doorways leading into the rough eaves beneath the low parts of the roof. There was a chimney going up through the middle of the middle room in the second story too. No fireplace or anything. It was to accommodate a gas furnace on the first floor. And the white-painted walls were a total contrast to the dark, wood doors, doorways and window frames. Our house was on the west coast, so it surprises me that some things were so much alike.

Love this house. Brings back some memories from my childhood in the 60s. I bet those plaid chairs and couch are comfy albeit ugly. You missed the clothes pin bag hanging up. It was red plaid ,hanging next to the kitchen. Some pretty neat cars too. .

This must have been a beautiful house when it was new. How sad nobody wanted the pictures at least. I guess it didn't have a basement. Loved the wood in this house and of course the glass door knobs!

Was wondering …..have you ever found a house that you completely fell in love with? I’m talking researched to see if it was for sale? Also as much as you travel what state did you fall in love with?

If you could fall in love with a piece of furniture, I would tell you I'm in love with that bed and bedroom furniture on the 1st floor. That was real wood, correct Kappy? And I really liked the layout of the house and the way he had all the albums between the rails. That is a great idea. If I had a wish about these houses that wasn't the obvious one of them all being restored. If I had that wish, I would wish that all that furniture and memorabilia would automatically be donated to the local museum. (and yes, lol, I'm human, I would want most of it for myself, ha) But at least others could see the stuff that you and your fellow adventurers, Kappy, work so hard to bring to us. Thank you Kappy for all your hard work.
