      Thank you! That's useful to know! I wasn't sure what to call it as it is flatter than the points I've seen before.

    This is my first nice looking wire wrap, your video was very helpful. I would love to show you pics of it although it's not as neat as yours. I would suggest/request that, if possible, you put in the description time stamps for each step. I had to do a LOT of going back through to make sure I understood each bit and I have trouble anyway with some things. Also with my vison not being great I had to watch some parts (most of them) many times. Time stamps would help when certain parts need found and rewatched or if you pick up later to continue and need to find the part you stop at. But otherwise still an incredible video

    Very very beautiful. 💞 How hard of a tug would it take before the crystal comes out? Do you recommend a glue?

    your videos are really professional. best tutorials i have seen. I would like to know more about the choice of wire. I am new to this, i bought some brass 1mm wire and tried to wrap some quartz i found it didnt work properly, it deflects alot and does not keep shape. i tried hardening it? by drawing a cloth over them many times that helped a little not much. any tips on choice of wire or preparation of wire?

    i love this wrap and would like to do it on a bear tooth but it is shaped differently, smaller at the top, thick in the middle and small at the tip of the tooth, any ideas.

      Aww, thank you! 😊 Long(ish) story (Probably should make a video on it!) but after making jewellery for a while, I got a slot designing/demonstrating on a TV shopping channel, found that I loved it and got such great comments that when it ended I decided to start a UA-cam channel and see where it takes me!

    Hi I have a question... How do you make the copper finish with a rusty finish or more coffee than how you started to weave it?

    I love all the textures of wire weaving but do not care for all the curlicue ends...so I love the way you deal with the ends on this piece. It's very handsome.

    • @LilyTree
      @LilyTree  7 років тому +1

      Thank you! Yes, I think I've got curlicue fatigue so I like to find new ways to finish them. The added advantage of the 'foldover' is that it gives an extra bit of dimension to the piece too.

    if you don't anchor the stone down through the holes aren't you taking a chance of it falling out over time

    • @samarahrain7931
      @samarahrain7931 7 років тому

      Coleen Taylor I think it's because the way it's shaped, and I think she's hardening the wire with weaving it. Just like a cabochon setting.

    • @LilyTree
      @LilyTree  7 років тому +2

      Samarah is right, it is simply down to it's shape. The only way it could fall out is if the wires expanded or came apart and as each row is linked together at several points, there's nowhere for them to go. But if you were in any doubt, you could take the weaving wire through at the point I indicated.
