Being polite and understanding and never be disrespectful are great recommendations for not just the airport, but pretty much everywhere- hotels, inside the plane, waiting at a train station etc.
That’s so true, the saying is treat people the way you want to be treated. In my life I have found that this is a true statement 🌸and it works.😌
1. Never arrive late (0:21)
2. Never forget your essential documents (and keep electronic copies on your phone) (1:15)
3. Never overpack your luggage (and be familiar with your airline’s baggage policy to avoid any surprises at the airport) (2:00)
4. Ignoring security rules (2:39)
5. Joking about security threats (3:16)
6. Never disrespect airport staff (3:55)
7. Leaving your luggage unattended (4:32)
8. Ignoring flight information (and use your airline’s mobile app) (5:08)
9. Avoid excessive drinking (5:39)
10. Using unprotected WiFi (and use a VPN) (6:12)
11. Forgetting to check visa requirements (7:10)
12. Disregarding customs regulations (7:43)
13. Carrying prohibited items (8:18)
14. Never skip packing essential medications in your carry-on (and your prescription) (8:53)
15. Neglecting to label your luggage (9:26)
16. Avoid engaging in arguments (9:58
17. Ignoring health precautions (10:44)
18. Wearing inappropriate clothing (11:22)
19. Forgetting chargers or adapters (and bring a TSA-approved power bank) (12:00)
20. Disregarding time zones (12:49)
21. Not asking yourself “Why did I just create an index of everything in this video?”
thank you
😊 Thanks!
Thank you
I think these are all common sense but I still liked going through the whole video just to keep things freshly in mind for my trip from Scotland to Japan next week.
I am anxious when traveling so I arrive extra early and enjoy people watching
That must take some of the enjoyment out of travelling I would think. I really love travelling, and the trip to an airport or where ever and then buses or trains etc from airports to hotels I love all of it, for me, it's all part of the holiday but I actually suffer from situational anxiety, so as long as things go as expected or as I was told they would, i'm totally fine but if something changes last minute I get extreme anxiety so I really feel for you that it makes you anxious.
See a lot of stupid people lol
I also put inside my luggage a paper with my name, address and contact info as well of the name of the hotel, address and phone number. This helps insure I can be contacted if my outside luggage tags go missing.
Don't put your address on it. Then the criminal will know your away from home!
Great idea, except the address
I fly out of MSP (Minneapolis/StPaul). It's a really fun place. I like to attive early, check my large bag so I can avoid TSA hassles & go almost "hands free." Then I can shop, eat at a variety of great places & still have plenty of time to get to the gate. MSP is also now working on improving the experience for the disabled.
Your airport stinks. Baltimore is worse.
I just had my first flight. I arrived early but it worked out greatly. The day went perfectly.
To arrive in time is obvious. But when airlines sell you tickets with connecting flights that has very little time for you to get through security and passport control it makes you wonder why they themself don't know better and put a person in that situation where you have to run only to miss your connection and then have to sit and wait for another flight for 16 hours. Is that reasonable? It happens a lot.
In Uk flights are cheaper when shorter turnaround for conbecting flights. I never would use them.
I have never missed a flight, but there was one time when I almost did, and I honestly don't think it was my fault. They changed the gate not once, but twice. NO announcement was made about it, but they did change it on the lighted overhead sign. Fortunately, I was paying attention and ran back and forth the length of the airport a couple of times and did not miss the flight. It was Zurich to Barcelona, and another thing about it was that my ticket was from Iberia, I had to check in through Swissport, and I flew aboard a Vueling plane. I mean how much crap do they expect the passenger to keep track of and then still say it is all the passenger's fault if not at the right gate at the right time?
Man that was crazy
Exactly my feeling also never missed flight ..
Make sure that your charger will work with different voltage electricity. That can be very annoying.
Great tips- also buy a hand held weight monitor so you can weigh your luggage in the hotel/home and balance them before going to the airport
Also ask every person you speak to what their first name is so that, if you later make a video like this, you can name everyone who made a mistake.
Mark didn’t do that. As a result security gave him a body cavity search and he missed his flight. The good news is security found his lost phone charger in the process. The bad news is he had to lick it clean.
Thanks for the travel tips.
Thank you for the information

I'm an international traveller since last 49 years,my travel documents includes by ferries as well,I always put my passport or other travel documents in the pocket of my jacket or in the brief case I'm carrying the night before travel date,so I have never any of my documents behind

Must have a travel checklist!!
I always arrive too early. I enjoy watching other passengers running through the airport. I play a game called "Name that celebrity" too. Usually it's mean spirited, but I only share with traveling companions. I've seen Elvis, Sonny & Cher, and others that look like a famous person...
Yep go early early and people watch and see how stressed they are . Also I get lounge access as well so it’s very comfortable.
It’s also funny how others grip about luggage and have to pay etc.
I know people that work on airlines so they tell me how you get on the naughty list or good list .
US person bragging about being wilfully mean-spirited… and only sharing with them doesn’t make it better… you need to look within and heal the issue so you can stop doing that…how would you feel?
Now that's me, nothing wrong with some chuckles 😅
That’s a great idea 🌸
Never drink a liter of Pinot Grigio the morning of your early evening international flight!!! Been there done that! 🤭
Thank You
Thanks ❤
Thanks alot
Excellent tips and all are based on common sense with good intentions and reasonable expectations
Thxs for the info now I will travel carefull
...going to the airport early is a good habit. very informative video, thanks for this.
I like your channel 👍
Sir,
Very good material caution information.
I appreciate
Identifying your suitcase with your name and address BUT don’t put your home address on your outward journey … just your destination address. Anyone seeing a ‘home’ address on an outgoing journey shows you won’t be home ~ potentially opening your home for burglars!
Don't put your address on the outside of your luggage - put it inside a zip up pocket. Burglars used to look for this info at airports, then later break in to your house while they knew you were away.
And then there are also those very rude airport employees, which shouldn't be working at the airport at all
I would much rather be at the airport four to five hours earlier for an international flight. That way I can relax, browse around, shop, eat, and be relaxed before the flight. Beats the hell out of being stressed, rushed, nervous, and anxious if I arrived just within the prescribed amount of time for me at the airport. You don't know what could happen in a day--lots of people flying that day, issues with your carry on, traffic on the way, etc.
Same. The route to my international airport is notorious for traffic delays. I like to have a nice leisurely dinner after checking in.
If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late!
good tips.
With all the duties
Great tips? Obvious to anyone outside the USA!
Make sure that your passport is not expired.
On the "arrive 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours before an international flight" thing, I agree. But some small airports actually are not staffed overnight (except for security), meaning you will arrive to a place with no way to check in, and not even anyone to tell you are there if you are on the first outbound flight of the day.
You are correct
It's me, I'm always late and yes I've had to run but so far I've actually only missed 1 flight due to me being late and that's with over 30 years of flying soooo...🤷🏾♀️
I get early cause I enjoy shopping before I get on the plane
Always wear your bulkiest footwear to save luggage space. Take a couple of minutes to watch the silly action at the metal detectors, especially seeing security miss what you can see. Label any medication you carry.
Me too i pay 140USD i think the scaling in Airport and the house are diff.
I never arrive late for a flight. Arrive book in get through secrutiry as soon as i can . Then i went with the bf at the time so laid back he was horizontal he refused to yo to the airport at my time. As a result the qs were big then he insisted on food and our filight was xalled i was in level 1 then they called our names ..we just made it ... never ever again. This and other readons put an x in front of bf
My Mom put addresses in her mail also, the one's with stickers, post offices sometimes rip packages or single mail pieces 😊
That woman had so much common sense for daily activities ❤
I arrive way too early (to annoy my family) and I never leave less than 2 hours for a connecting flight. Better an hour early than a minute late. “Take half the clothing and twice the money”.
If only they would secure our border, like they secure the airports 😂😂😂
More border patrol officers was in the border deal. GOP rejected the deal coz Trump told them to!
Never arrive late. Wow
You are right Never arrive late
I'm too scared to fly. 😢
I had situation once when before departing for airport I was packing on a rush and was sticking my items into wherever they can fit into my bags. I did not realize till I arrived to TSA part that I putted my nail kit into carry-on. I was told that its being confiscated which i reacted calmly about knowing i can buy new set when i arrived to my destination back home.
Common sense 😉
Don't ever joke about the boogeyman, its big business for them ,
I paid 700 aud for excess luggage 😢
I have a mask in my jacket or bag all the time in case someone started near me in the plane. I can not stand getting sick on a trip.
👍🤚👍
British Airways
Why does the bar sell you unlimited alcohol then ,?
Luggage
Lamp
Your boarding pass is gotten when you check in at the counter. How did He forget it at home? Was it his ticket he forgot at home? That can always be printed at the Airport. Infact you don't need to print it. You can show them. Save tree.
As for laptops, I prefer to have it in my carry on. I can't afford to have it stolen from my checked in luggage. It happens you know
I got my eyebrow tweezers confiscated once, don,t know what they thought I could do with them
Can't turn off captions......so turned off video.
Basic common sense, but I suppose everyone is a first time passenger once.
Please tell all airlines to give freely small amounts of toothpaste or shaving cream like Middle East countries planes which unlike other Countries. Once I was about to be thrown out of planes for carrying oversize tooth paste and shaving cream in hand bag keeping my wife in plane alone
Appalling dialogue both in intonation and pauses.
That's what you get for replacing a human with a stupid bot. I dread to see what this world will look like in 20 years.
What has that guy sitting at the airport holding his bag got to do with anything? FFS!
😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Not worth the hassle. No thanks.....glad i'm old.
All those 20 things mentioned in the video are just common sense. One should just stay at home if he doesn't possess such common sense.
Call it a common sense or in other words, be more alert/caution where the chances of silly mistakes during travel also stand more common.
@@mohankathe3332the problem is that many travellers got themselves in shitty situations is because they are complacent and adopted a 'couldn't care less' attitude.
As you grow along you realise that Common sense is a rare commodity.
Don't get drunk....
WATE OF TIME !!! Listing the obvious, the basics. Suitable for Republican Hillbillies - at best.
On UA-cam you can activate and deactivate subtitles. You don't need to write extra subtitels. We can't deactivate them and they suck. The video with these annoying useless subtitles is unwatchable.
I disagree, the youtube subtitles are often not verygood. I always appreciate subtitles put by the author.
Get a life, subtitles don’t make a video unwatchable!
Have to disagree with you on this one. The creator subtitles are very helpful.
I stopped watching after the third "tip".....talk aboug stating the bleedin obvious!
There are always 1st timers who need this info.
So wearing a mask is being controlled and a sheeple .
Given the fact that masks were actually useless and even counterproductive, yes.
@@vaska1999 Nevertheless it's good to have some masks with you which can be used as needed. The pandemic is officially over, but my doctor's office requires it.
Being sanctionated by TSA for making a joke etc. is not right. And I consider mosed TSA rule as too much and without any effect. I prefer travelling more comfortable rather than comply to quite a bunch of ineffivient rules (liquids, put of shoes and belts at "security".
And exactly how would TSA know it was a joke? Every rule TSA has put in effect that you think is ridiculous, is there for a reason. Why take off your shoes and put them through the X-ray machine? Because some idiot tried to blow up a plane by rigging his shoes with explosive material. Why take off your belt? Because the metal buckle will set off the metal detector.
I'd rather put up with a little inconvenience than risk every life on that plane, including mine....and yours.
@@LaurelWisniewski Life never is complete safe. I rather perfer a minimum risk than to having to comply to wast number of "rules". This holds true for TSA and daily life.
Thanks for the travel tips.
