- Hi guys I filmed a small uber shift and its safe to say it has been so slow this week!!!! Is everyone feeling the same or have people been smashing it?

I remember this period last year being the same get too mid/late April it’ll pick back up
If you look at London license statistics driver numbers are decreasing now all is well just the usual ups and downs of the year

I did private hire in Manchester, I give up 10 years ago. I found it harder to make a basic wage, too many drivers, too much account work at not good money. I do miss the job, but not the chasing the money and stressing about paying track and fuel each week.
The thing is, if you’ve got a paid off car and insurance isn’t too bad it’s a great side hustle In the right areas
Too many drivers, everyone is skint and the Apps are playing each side off the middle low balling drivers who are desperate due to unchecked over supply and riders getting fleeced with huge prices. Uber are in the middle laughing with a take it or leave it attitude. Bunch of James Blunts, raking in the profits off the backs of increasing desperate drivers.

Still ticking over here in Liverpool , averaging £20 an hour, influx of out of area licensed drivers slowing it of a weekend though, Uber Merseyside is the 2nd biggest Uber area after London , needs to be made for Merseyside licence holders only.

Back when it was good I’m talking before Covid you could go out anytime any month and be busy and earn decent money even when the fares were lower! Now it’s got to the point where it’s getting ridiculous! Too many drivers not enough work
Havent been driving as long as you but today was the first day in the last year i noticed a HUGE price drop in trip offers, laughable.. the worst was a £5.50 green 8.5miles away going 3.5 miles........

Uber pay too low for private hire driver.
I pay car rent, insurance, petrol, income tax.
After everything I make about 6 to 7 pounds a hour.
