My working theory is that as a child, Sans always told him that insults were never directed towards him. That they were truly insulting themselves. After all, Sans has a high opinion of his bro. He might be responsible for his ego.
This was a very lovely play through, and Papyrus’s reactions were hilarious! You also didn’t do that bad of a job at playing it! Is Papyrus going to play chapter 2? Or will you play it? I think it’s very clever how Chance made Papyrus’s grandmother as “Ariel”, in reference to the default font in Microsoft word. It’s actually spelled as Arial, but Ariel makes sense as it’s a female name (like in The Little Mermaid). It also reminds me of the cut character, Grandpa Semi, who was originally gonna be the grandfather of Sans and Papyrus.
You're right. This is the best thing you have ever seen. The same goes for me. This one has changed my life. I was in a very depressive state in life. I just couldn't handle all the pain I was going through. I lost my family to a car accident. I was in debt for years now because of college. Everyone I knew and loved left me to die alone. I thought life couldn't get any worse now. And then... I found this... I never felt this kind of feeling in years. Joy. It reminds me of when I was a little kid. So many great memories. This is just amazing. It made me feel happy again. I don't know how to describe it, but... it's perfect. It also reminds me of a friend. A friend who I called mentally insane, specifically mentally insane in the head. I will forever remember this. I will do my best to change my life. Thank you for your hard work.
